Analysis of the landslide area on the Odlezelské lake
Sachr, David ; Jerman, Jan (advisor) ; Roháč, Jakub (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of landslide areas in the vicinity of Odlezelské Lake, which is located in the western Limnic Permocarboniferous basin of the Žihel Basin. In this area, slope movements are not a frequent natural phenomenon. In the Czech Republic, this is the only slope deformation that has created a 'landslide lake' due to the damming of the Mladotický stream, which flows through this area. The geological conditions play a fundamental role here - the overlying strata consist mainly of arkosic sandstones, sandstones and siltstones. Layers of clay or claystone lie 20-30 metres below the ground surface and the average slope of the layers in the area is 10ř to the north-west, very close to the average slope in the landslides studied. An engineering geological analysis of the landslide areas in the area of Lake Odlezel was carried out. The area was depicted using LiDAR and DMR 5G in QGIS software and thus new morphological maps of the landslide areas were created. Data from the ČÚZK and 48 years old geomorphological maps, which were mapped by Prof. Janský, were used as a basis. Furthermore, a supplementary field survey was carried out, on the basis of which, in combination with LiDAR analysis, the contours of slope deformations of the previous authors were refined. Furthermore,...
Slope deformation risk assessment in the area of Prackovice after floods in 2013
Roháč, Jakub ; Kycl, Petr (advisor) ; Florián, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with constructing engineering geological 1:1000 map of Dobkovičky landslide, collecting of reconstituted soil samples, their laboratory CIUP triaxial testing and subsequent modeling of wall stability of the landslide after the excavation of collapsed soil material. Mapping was done during spring of 2014. Outcome of this thesis is hand drawn map, plotted on the map are all the elements of the landslide including 38 documentation points. Legend of the maps is attached. Collection of reconstituted soil samples was done during drilling investigation, executed by company AZ Consult, spol.s.r.o., during summer of 2014. Three samples of all that were collected were subjected to laboratory CIUP triaxial testing. The result of the testing is critical friction angel, which was used during modeling of wall stability of the landslide after excavation of all collapsed soil material. For the actual modeling, PC software Plaxis 2D was used.
Experimental investigation of shear strength of soils from the Dobkovičky landslide area and development of correlations between soil strength and their physical properties
Roháč, Jakub ; Mašín, David (advisor) ; Blahůt, Jan (referee) ; Hrubešová, Eva (referee)
Critical and residual states are key soil conditions relevant to slope stability. Evaluating the available shear strength in relation to these conditions is crucial for reliable stability analyses. The best way to determine the strength parameters is through properly selected laboratory tests of soil mechanics. However, in specific cases, these parameters can be estimated based on other material properties of soils. The work clarifies the applicability of various correlation equations from the literature and proposes new relationships, created from laboratory- determined results of strength and index parameters of soils from the Bohemian Central Mountains. It shows how different equations or different material properties of soils can predict the required value of strength. The work also describes how the residual strength of soils and its estimation can be affected. This is mainly caused by the clay fraction proportion and by the shear rate used in its laboratory determination. The results are applied to a specific geotechnical problem - to estimate the critical state and the residual friction angle of soils from the selected study area of the D8 motorway, which is well known thanks to the stability problems. Last but not least, various errors and misunderstandings are discussed, which are often...

Construction of a purpose-built engineering geological map M 1:5000 of a selected area of Prague-Radlice elaborated on the basis of detailed field mapping
Roháč, Jakub ; Kycl, Petr (advisor) ; Chmelař, Radovan (referee)
This work deals with constructing a detailed purpose-built engineering geological 1:5000 map of a part of Prague 5, where the tunnel of "Radlická radiála" will be excavated. This radial is designed to connect the motorway ring with the street circuit. The mapped territory is sparsely built-up, only a small part of the area on the north-east side is covered by single-family houses, on the west side there is an old brick-kiln. The subsoil is made up of paleozoic rocks which are covered with rocks from the cretaceous and quaternary age. The map is primarily designed as exposed. It was constructed using archive materials but also a detailed terrain mapping. In the work I describe the geological, engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions of the area and I create a purpose-built engineering geological map and a map of documentation points. The engineering geological map serves only as a reference base. The realization of tunnel construction will require a detailed engineering geological research.
