The issue of truancy in secondary schools in the context of risky behavior.

The thesis deals with the issue of truancy in relation to other manifestations of risky behaviour among pupils of selected secondary vocational schools in Mladá Boleslav. The main aim of the thesis is to map and identify the most frequent causes of truancy among pupils of selected secondary schools in Mladá Boleslav. Furthermore, the thesis investgates correlation between truancy and its tolerance and prevention from the perspective of teachers, school and parents. The theoretical part at first introduces and defines the concept of risk behaviour, risk factors and selected manifestations of risk behaviour. This is followed by a chapter focused on truancy itself, defining, categorizing and delineating its causes and consequences, not forgetting the legislative framework of truancy. It also discusses the period of adolescence that secondary school students go through and also looks at the prevention of risky behaviour of individuals and the intervention of truancy from the perspective of the school during this period. The last part of the theoretical section provides a list of institutions that help address school problems, school-based prevention programs, and recommended practices for problem solving and truancy prevention. The content of the bachelor thesis is the processing of Marcela Machata's professional development portfolio, which contains 10 mandatory parts with a binding structure. In the form of a structured autobiography, she introduces her experiences and knowledge. In the professional essay, the author describes the issue of environmental education in the after-school club. The thesis specifies what prevents the educators from adding environmental education into the after-school club program. The essay emphasizes the advantages of a school outside the city close to nature. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the conspectus of the book Školní družina (translated The after school club), which became the author's guide in her professional life. The professional analysis of an educator in the after-school club is described in detail, it also determines the requirements for the profession and the personality of a person for practicing this pedagogical profession. Choice of teaching profession through the eyes of teachers

As the title suggests, this bachelor's thesis is devoted to the choice of a teaching profession. It aims to find out why people decide to become teachers, what leads them to this decision and whether they regret their decision. Three research questions are set out and answers are sought through a research investigation. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part attempts to give the reader an insight into the issue and describes the starting points that are crucial for the practical part. The practical part is devoted to the research investigation. A qualitative approach was chosen, specifically the in-depth interview method. A total of six interviews were conducted with current teachers. Based on the data obtained from the interviews, the research questions were answered. The results of the research investigation are quite clear. Teachers do not perceive their profession as prestigious. They see room for improvement mainly in financial evaluation and the view of the public. Despite the perception that their profession is not prestigious, teachers are satisfied with their career. This diploma thesis is based on concepts of positive psychology and deals with the topic of well-being. The approaches of positive psychology and development of this psychological specialization as well as the concept of well-being are presented in the first part of the thesis. In addition to the Harvard approach to well-being, special attention is paid to the new theory of well-being, which was created by Martin Seligman and expended by Scott I. Donaldson and Stewart I. Donaldson. Specifically, this thesis focuses on well-being of a specific group, which is university students. Not only subjective well-being, but first of all meaning in life are analysed in focus on university students. Meaning in life is the main topic of this diploma thesis. The research part is based on questionnaire survey focused on the well-being of students of the Faculty of Education of Charles University, which took place at the turn of 2022 and 2023 as part of a big university research focused on the well-being of students (Kočí, 2023). The diploma thesis deals with the circumstances leading to the placement of children in a specific children's home with a school and the possibilities of preventing their risky behavior. The theoretical part presents an insight into risky behavior and institutional education. The practical part presents an analysis of the written documentation and life stories of the selected participants in order to determine the circumsances leading to their placement in a selected specific facility. It also presents the possibilities of education and prevention of risky behavior of individuals placed in this facility based on interview with pedagogical staff. The aim of the thesis is to present a comprehensive picture of the issues of institucional education related to a specific children's home with a school. The investigation concludes by finding that the circumstances for placement are consistent for each participant, as revealed by both the interview and documentation analysis. Well-thought-out cooperation between the teacher and the teacher's assistant not only leads to more efficient work, but is also very beneficial for students and the classroom climate. Already at the beginning of their cooperation, it is necessary to have clear nules, roles and competences set.. I focused my research on the cooperation of a teacher and a teacher's assistant, on the factors that influence the cooperation in everyday practice. The first part of the thesis contains a theoretical definition of this issue. It deals with the concepts of inclusion and inclusive education. It characterizes the position of a teacher and a teacher assistant within the teaching process and its legislative anchoring. The empirical part of the work is devoted to the research of mutual satisfaction of cooperation between respondents. A teacher and a teacher's assistant from a small school participate in the research, followed by teachersmand teaching assistans from several schools in the surrouding area.. The role of the teacher assistant in the process of inclusive education in primary and secondary schools

This diploma thesis consists of the role of teaching assistant in an inclusive education in elementary and middle school. Theorethical part is devided into four parts and explains theorethical points. It discusses the position of the teaching assistant, the assistant's role in the education of pupils with and without special educational needs, the cooperation of the teaching assistant with other teachers and parents and last but not least about the pupils with special educational needs and their education. Empirical part is focused on the role of the teaching assistant in the process of an inclusive education in an selected elementary and middle school, in which it contains a qualitative study, which results in a situational study of the school. Semi- structured interviews were used in the research as well as observation and analysis of documents. The goal of this research is to analyse the work of teaching assistants at the selected school. The results of this research bring information about how the teaching assistant profession is perceived and used at this specific school. The diploma thesis can be used as an example of a good practice on how to use the teaching assistant in an inclusive education.
