Expectations versus hospital reality in women undergoing elective caesarean section

Each expectant mother comes into the hospital with some idea of how the delivery will proceed, including the c-section. These ideas, created on basis lay and professional opinions, can be dramatically different from the resulting reality. This work deals with the choice of anesthesia for planned c-section from the perspective of expectant mothers. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to current possibilities and trends in obstetric anaesthesia. It describes the types of anesthesia (local vs. total) from the perspective of medicine and from the perspective of mothers in preparation to this operational performance. The aim of the empirical part of the work is the comparison of preoperative expectations of expectant mothers with the resulting hospital reality. It was found out by the quantitative questionnaire method. The questionnaire is divided into two parts- the part before the c-section and the postoperative part. The aim of the work is the detection what information sources influence mothers ideas of the course of the operating, the influences for their decisions of the choice of anesthesia, and how the information is valid and objective. A journey through time - prosect implementation in the after - school club by the school education programme

This bachelor's thesis deals with problems of creating of School education programme in after-school club with emphasis on mental, social and physical development of younger school age children. The thesis is divided into two parts. First part deals with function of leisure time relate to its pedagogic aspect. This part is also focused on after-school club and its importance, legislation and history. Last chapters of first part deal with appropriateness of School education programme. The second part of the thesis, the practical part, describes the realisation of the project "A journey through time" in the after-school club. This projects supports and develops natural interest in history of children. The goal of the thesis was finding out if the Project develops children's natural interest in history, improves their work in groups and betters their motoric skills. It results from realised observation that the Project really contributed to children's interest in history, project supported cooperation in groups and motoric skills were improved by use of various activities.

RELATIONSHIP OF DOCTOR AND PATIENT, CRIMINAL LAW ASPECTS I have chosen this particular topic regarding the fact, that medical law is a part of law, which attracts general public attention. Relationship of doctor and patient is something that every one of us has experience with. Everyone visits doctor and builds unique relationship with him. I have chosen topic of relationship of doctor and patient, because I want to highlight that this relationship is still not relationship of equal partners in the Czech Republic, which leads to several conclusions. My aim is to analyze this situation regarding criminal law aspects. Aim of this thesis is to analyze relationship of doctor and patient as a result of process of evolution, to describe recent situation in the Czech Republic and to suggest changes for the future. I look at the relationship of doctor and patient on the basis of criminal law and demonstrate some particular aspects with case studies. Thesis is divided into thirteen chapters. Tobacco dependence in terms of service to clients dependent on alcohol

This thesis deals with the problem of tobacco addiction among clients dependent on alcohol. It surveys the attitudes and needs of service providers to clients addicted to alcohol with regard to the phenomenon of addiction to tobacco. In the first half of the theoretical part I describe general information related to the smoking and to the alcohol, such as history, occurrence in the population, their characteristics and effects, and one chapter is devoted to the specific interaction of tobacco and alcohol. In the second half, I focused on the diagnosis and assessment of the rate dependence, on the description of the dependence on these substances, therapeutic interventions and on the medical care system. In the empirical part this thesis deals with the issue of Tobacco Addiction treatment with simultaneous treatment of alcoholism. How is the practice now and how it would according to the view of workers be involved in the treatment of alcoholism should have to be Tobacco Addiction treatment included in their services. Corporate Social Responsibility - Nonprofit and Business Sector Collaboration

The primary objective is to find specific elements in collaboration between nonprofit organizations and profit organizations, and answer the main research questions concerning the relationship characteristics. This study consists basically of two parts. The first one is a theoretical part and focuses on corporate social responsibility, business philanthropy, social marketing, sponsoring and other business activities concerning corporate social responsibility and philanthropy. The second research part is aimed at SWOT analysis of the collaboration between profit and nonprofit sector and research of nonprofit sector designed as a questionnaire research. The research of this study is based on data retrieved from particular nonprofit organizations, which have received a donation from Ceskoslovenska obchodni banka, a. s., Komercni banka a.s. or T-Mobile CZ a.s. While the collaboration between profit and nonprofit sector is not mapped yet in the Czech Republic, the main sources for my study were international, mainly U.S. theoretical and research studies.

I The crime of fraud and special kinds of fraud ABSTRACT When choosing a subject matter for my diploma thesis I focused on what might be useful even from the point of view of my future practice. In this context, fraud of all different kinds is something we can meet with on daily basis and that is the reason why I decided to study in detail and treat this particular phenomenon. The entire thesis has been divided by me into six chapters with each of them splitting further into sub-chapters. I wished to treat the subject matter in most comprehensive way and so the thesis contains both historical and descriptive aspects as well as methodological ones, with an emphasis on the use and interpretation applied by courts and specific institutions. Chapter One stands for an introduction into the subject matter seen from a historical perspective. The first sub-chapter summarizes re-codification works of penal law from 1989 up to the present time while the subsequent sub-chapters deal with the very term of criminal offence of fraud in respect of its evolution and major amendments. Coping strategies in children´s fear and pain in relation to nursing care

For the nurse, taking care of hospitalized children is important not only pediatric nursing knowledge, personal and social preconditions, but also the theoretical and practical competency of methods and techniques, which are used for identification and effective influencing of pain and fear. The aim of this thesis was to identify the main sources of fear of the hospitalized preschool and young school age children and to find out the effective methods and principles of the cooperation with children, alternatively with their accompanying parents in order to moderate the fear of the small patient. Then the thesis tried to chart the nursing diagnostic and evaluation procedure of the pain and get the most used nursing methods of non-pharmacological pain relief. To obtain the necessary data, the qualitative research was used with a semi-structured interview as a research instrument. The first research group consisted of 12 nurses, the second group consisted of 12 children ´s patients of preschool and young school age. The majority of the asked nurses thinks, that children´s patients are afraid especially of non-familiar environment, then of the awaited pain and of the solitude without parents. However, the most patients said, that they were afraid especially of pain, then of non-familiar environment, restriction of their needs, hostile attitude of the medical staff and of the other neighbouring patients. They were also frightened of the death and of the darkness. Most reported nurses mean, that the most effective solution of the children ´s fear is the friendly attitude of the medics. They also mentioned the fact of taking the focus off the fear and the presence of the parents is also beneficial. The nurses ´ answers were in conformity with patients opinion in two fields - friendly attitude of the medics and taking the focus off the fear. Then the children mentioned abiding of their specifics in connection to falling asleep and the demand of beying treated by the same sister or by few same sisters. All respondents also talked about the benefit of parents presence. Regarding the principles of the cooperation, nurses answered the importance of united medical procedures, especially the proper way of information transfer. Then the respondents nurses mentioned the psychical and emotional support for children and their accompaniments, the atmosphere of confidence and the value of well done education. Also the need of calm, silence and privacy was stated. Unlike nurses, children and their parents regarding to principles of the cooperation prefer the psychical and emotional support, then the importance of enough information was mentioned. The fourth research question bears on the methods used for children pain monitoring. The nurses said, that the intentional interview with the patients or with the parents was used as a main technique, that was stated by patients as well. Research question number five said: What are the most used nursing methods of non-pharmacological pain relief at children? Most responded nurses mentioned the distraction of children attention from the painful incentive, then the importance of physical methods, relief position and purposeful preparation for the unpleasant intervention. Nurses also named the helpful contribution of the parents, relaxing exercises and the method of imagination. Regarding the pain treatment, it was noted, that all patients prefered the analgesic therapy. Then they quoted the distraction of their attention from the painful incentive, the friendly attitude of the medics, using the ice compress and the relief position. In the pain acute phase, children required mostly calm, comfort and privacy. All children also considered the presence of parents as very helpful. The theoretical and empirical part of the thesis are suitable for being studied by nurses taking care of children and it can be helpful for nursing quality improvement at children ´s wards in hospitals.
