Analysis of legalizing financial compensation on the kidney market: Iranian case and its application on the Czech Republic during 2006-2015
Cachnín, Patrik ; Procházka, Pavel (advisor) ; Barák, Vladimír (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the Iranian system of kidney trade, whose de facto legalization in 1988 allows to analyze important aspects of this solution to the shortage of kidneys. The Iranian case has not confirmed the common concern of opponents of the monetary compensations for the kidney donation about displacement of the altruistic and cadaveric donors after the sale legalization. The work also refuses the hypothesis which states that market legalization puts poor patients at a disadvantage and favours the rich patients. The Iranian case documents improvement of the situation for all patients. Application of the Iranian system to the Czech Republic is carried out in the main part of the work, and the impact of the introduction of the system with legalized monetary compensations on the expenses in the health care system in the years 2006-2015 is calculated via the cost-benefit analysis. The result is a positive balance of the total amount CZK 4.2-5.1 billion in favour of introducing this system.

Bachelor thesis is dealing with the liberalization of the postal service market in the Czech Republic. Thesis analyzes the selected issue in the practical part on the example of the Czech Post, state enterprise. It clarifies the areas and terms closely linked with the issue. Thesis also defines monopoly features and specifies the network industry. It deals with the privatization process, defines the essential features of the state-owned enterprise and other main business corporations. Text explains the theory of public choice and its related problems. It also focuses on postal license which commits to provide universal service. The aim of the thesis is to create a comprehensive overview of past and current state of the postal market. Another objective is to analyze Czech Post enterprise particularly its economic activity and legal form. It turns out that the Czech Post is not now as lossy as it appears in public. We can predict decreasing trend in the evolution of revenues in the future with the help of related graph. Thesis objectives are met by composing the general development of the legislative and institutional changes. We can compare the legal forms of institutions and the extent of branch networks in each country with the help of a comparative analysis of European postal institutions. The Czech Republic does well - it is below the average. This allows to set conclusions and recommendations for our market. We mainly used issues of Post Partner project to examine the future development of the Czech Post.

Comparison of the standard of living in the countries of Visegrad group in years 1989-2015
Horáková, Lucie ; Procházka, Pavel (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the standard of living in the countries of Visegrad group from 1989 until present. The text is divided into two parts- theoretical and analytical. At first the theoretical part refers to the term Visegrad group- what does it mean, why it was created, and what was the situation of its countries after the fall of the Communist regime in 1989. This part then continues with explaining the term standard of living and its selected means of measure from the economical and sociological point of view. The analytical part is then about the comparison itself. For each country there are graphs and tables that contain the variables used for the analysis that are explained at the end of each chapter. Every chapter also contains the factor analysis, that is used to show which of the variables were the most important for each country. The last chapter is comparison of all the countries.
Comparison of the Development of Selected Components of Economic Freedom for Slovakia and Romania between 2000 - 2013
Kožený, Aleš ; Ševčíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Procházka, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is the evaluation of the evolution of economic freedom of Slovakia and Romania at the time of their accession to the EU. The theoretical part deals with the theory of economic freedom and with the methodology of its measurement. It also focuses on the process of expanding the EU and the issues related to accession negotiations. The practical part of this work analyses the evolution of economic freedom in Slovakia and Romania using the regression analysis. This work analysis political and economic measures of these countries and their effect on the final rating of economic freedom as well. Said rating is then compared with the evolution of GDP. Using the example of Slovakia and Romania, this work verifies the validity of given hypothesis that the growth speed of economic freedom and liberalization of individual countries slows down after their accession to the European Union.

This thesis is also focused on external and internal migration of people born in Spain. In the end it describes the impacts of migration on Spanish economy.
A comment on the flat plate leading edge shape on laminar-turbulent transition
Antoš, Pavel ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Procházka, Pavel P.
Laminar-turbulent transition region is investigated in zero pressure gradient boundary layers developing on flat plates with different shapes of leading edges namely with the elliptical profile; the superelliptical one and with the thin circle profile. The mean flow field characteristics are presented and discussed. Near downstream from the leading edge are mean velocity profiles very similar to the Blasius solution in all compared configurations. The dramatic effect of the leading edge is ascertained in the beginning of the skin friction coefficient deflection from the course after Blasius solution. The start of deflection is moving downstream in sequence: elliptic – super-elliptic – circle shape. The length of the transitional region shortens in the opposed sequence.
Stereoscopic PIV measurement of boundary layer affected by DBD actuator
Procházka, Pavel P. ; Uruba, Václav
The effect of ionic wind generated by plasma actuator on developed boundary layer inside a narrow channel was investigated recently. Since the main investigated plane was parallel to the channel axis, the description of flow field was not evaluated credibly. This paper is dealing with cross-section planes downstream the actuator measured via 3D time-resolved PIV. The actuator position is in spanwise or in streamwise orientation so that ionic wind is blown in the same direction as the main flow or in opposite direction or perpendicularly. The interaction between boundary layer and ionic wind is evaluated for three different velocities of main flow and several parameters of plasma actuation (steady and unsteady regime, frequency etc.). Statistical properties of the flow are shown as well as dynamical behaviour of arising longitudinal vortices are discussed via phase-locked measurement and decomposition method.
Analysis of the Mobile Market in the Czech Republic since 1989
Valta, Michal ; Štípek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Procházka, Pavel (referee)
The theme of bachelor thesis is an analysis of the mobile market in the Czech Republic since 1989, focusing on the current market structure and problems of transition operators on a new type of data transmission in the LTE (Long Term Evolution) network. The theoretical part focuses on the creation, development and regulation of the market. There were used applications of known economic theories of oligopoly, competition, and also regulation or liberalization, which deal with the topic. There will also be explained and characterized the basic concepts and legislative changes pertaining to the field of telecommunications, including the functions and powers of the Czech Telecommunication Office. The practical part is based on international studies and experience with similar frequency spectrum auctions in the countries of Western Europe, which are then applied to tender in the Czech mobile marketplace. In the final passage presents several different theories of possible future developments in this market, with regard to the outcome of the auction and forthcoming legislative changes.
