Laboratory task demonstrates application firewall
Procházka, Ivo ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a laboratory exercise presenting an application firewall. The first part describes various types of firewalls from both the historical and technical points of view. The second section presents five vulnerabilities from the OWASP Top 10 list, five vulnerabilities from OWASP Top 10 list are presented including a guide on how prevent these types of attacks using the F5 BIG-IP platform. The thesis also includes a presentation of load balancing and Denial of Service protection on the F5 platform.
The Studies Order Processing in Selected Company
Tichá, Hana ; Ing. Vladimír Procházka. (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to a study of order processing in selected company, concretely by Otis a.s, which deals with manufacturing and developing of escalators, Trav-O-lators and elevators. The thesis analyzes actual order processing in the company and specifies particular business processes. Consecutively it indicates new suggestions for improvement, which should shorten order’s processing in the company.
Analysis of the GlobeImposter ransomware
Procházka, Ivo ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze an instance of the GlobeImposter ransomware extracted from an affected device. The first part outlines various types of malware and ransomware and includes a description of encryption mechanisms and key distribution systems. It also discusses possible approaches of static and dynamic analysis of malware samples and requirements for test environments. The practical part describes the source of the malware sample, the physical and virtual test environment and the results of the static and dynamic analysis of the GlobeImposter ransomware. The final part discusses the results and the possibility of implementing a decryptor for the analyzed GlobeImposter ransomware.
Personality differences in individuals of various sexual orientations
Fořt, Jakub ; Havlíček, Jan (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivo (referee)
The previous research identified a range of personality differences between men and women of various sexual orientations. Non-heterosexual individuals systematically show higher gender nonconformity and greater openness to experience than heterosexual individuals. Non-heterosexual men also show higher levels of neuroticism compared to heterosexual men. The main aim of this study is to replicate previous findings regarding personality differences. The study further aims to determine whether some of the observed differences in personality factors might be explained by differences in gender nonconformity among individuals of various sexual orientations. Via an online survey, a short version of the Big Five Inventory (BFI-10) and a number of scales measuring gender nonconformity were administered to men (N = 3,418) and women (N = 4,690). In total, 232 individuals identified as asexual, 1,814 as bisexual, 3,024 as heterosexual, 2,468 as homosexual, and 570 as pansexual. Our results demonstrate higher gender nonconformity among non-heterosexual men and women, higher neuroticism among non-heterosexual men, and greater openness to experience among bisexual men and women compared to heterosexual individuals. Asexual women showed lower levels of extraversion than women of other sexual orientations. Gender...
The role of the nutritional therapist for people living with HIV
Tomanová, Michaela ; Starnovská, Tamara (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivo (referee)
Nutrition is one of the prognostic, predictive and also modifiable risk factors for the development of civilization diseases, which unequivocally cause the highest mortality in our territory. Obesity, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes mellitus have been shown to progress earlier and more progressively among people living with human immunodeficiency virus (PLWH) rather than in the HIV-negative population. Thanks to the modernization of antiretroviral therapy (ART), the incidence of wasting or lipodystrophic syndrome among adherent individuals is very low, if not zero. However, HIV infection together with the ART and unhealthy lifestyle now represent a certain risk of undesirable comorbidities in the form of civilization diseases. The complex topic of nutritional care for PLWH should be part of the professional knowledge of every nutritional therapist. Questionnaire surveys intended for qualified nutritional therapists and educational institutions, which were applied for the first section of the practical part of this thesis, confirmed all formulated hypotheses. The result of this part is the finding of insufficient education and the absence of deeper knowledge in the field of nutrition for PLWH among almost 95 % of the interviewed nutrition therapists,...
Study of precipitation effects in Mg-Y and Mg-Y-Nd systems
Heteš, Michal ; Čížek, Jakub (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivan (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to investigate the precipitation processes in the binary system Mg-Y and the ternary alloy Mg-Y-Nd using positron annihilation spect- roscopy and hardness testing, where we measured 2 samples with 3% and 6% by weight representation of Yttrium impurity atoms and 3 sample with 4% by weight representation of yttrium atoms and 3% by weight representation of neodymium atoms. The develop- ment of the hardness of the alloys was measured by the Vickers method of hardness measurement. Together with the hardness measurement, the characterization of crystal lattice disorders of the cloudy alloy samples was carried out using positron annihilation spectroscopy. It was measured that at higher temperatures hardening of the studied sys- tems occurs. Hardening was caused by the formation of GP zone precipitates and the β′ phase by Y, Nd and Mg atoms. 1
Low temperature polarized target for spin structure studies of nucleons at COMPASS
Pešek, Michael ; Finger, Miroslav (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivan (referee)
Title: Low temperature polarized target for spin structure studies of nucleons at COMPASS Author: Bc. Michael Pešek Department: Department of low temperature physics Supervisor of the master thesis: prof. Ing. Miroslav Finger, DrSc. Abstract: In presented thesis we describe concept of Deep Inelastic Scattering of leptons on nucleons in context of nucleon spin structure studies. Both polarized and unpolarized cases are discussed and concept of Transverse Momentum Dependent Parton Distribution Functions (TMD PDF) is introduced. The possibility of TMDs measurement using Semi-inclusive DIS (SIDIS) is described along with related results from COMPASS experiment. The future Drell-Yan programme at COMPASS is briefly mentioned and its importance is presented on the universality test i.e. change of sign of T-odd TMDs when measured in Drell-Yan and SIDIS. The importance of Polarized Target (PT) for spin structure studies is highlighted and principles of Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) are given using both Solid effect and spin temperature concept. COMPASS experiment is described in many details with accent given to PT. Finally the thermal equilibrium (TE) calibration procedure is described and carried out for 2010 and 2011 physics runs at COMPASS. The average polarization measurement results from 2010 and 2011 are...
