The proposal of finance of habitation in new housing quarters
Procházka, Štěpán ; Eigner, Alois (referee) ; Petráš, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of available forms of financing of housing in Czech Republic. The attention is basicly concentrated on mortages and loans provided by building society, including bridging loans. There are also mentioned different types of prospects for financing, concretely loans and backing provided by government. The application example shows financial demands of various products and their possible combinations.
Civil Association as a Tool of Cultural Heritage Protection
Procházka, Štěpán ; Deverová, Lenka (advisor) ; Šloufová, Romana (referee)
The dissertation is dealing with opportunities which are available for non-for profit organizations in the field of cultural heritage protection. The example being studied is the farmhouse Bulovka, which is a protected cultural heritage site located in the district of Prague 5. The dissertation is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part describes the main points of cultural protection theory and gives a short introduction into the history of farmhouses in Prague. It also describes the basic concepts of civil society. The empirical part is mapping the legal background of cultural heritage protection by introducing the laws which are currently used in this field. The crucial part compares various civil society organizations and assesses their ability to effectively protect the farmhouse Bulovka. The main criteria are an ability to apply for the grants offered by various foundations and other institutions. As a result, a list of available funding programs for cultural heritage protection is presented, which can be used for the protection of the farmhouse Bulovka.
Adaptive Handwritten Text Recognition
Procházka, Štěpán ; Straka, Milan (advisor) ; Straňák, Pavel (referee)
The need to preserve and exchange written information is central to the human society, with handwriting satisfying such need for several past millenia. Unlike optical character recognition of typeset fonts, which has been throughly studied in the last few decades, the task of handwritten text recognition, being considerably harder, lacks such attention. In this work, we study the capabilities of deep convolutional and recurrent neural networks to solve handwritten text extraction. To mitigate the need for large quantity of real ground truth data, we propose a suitable synthetic data generator for model pre-training, and carry out extensive set of experiments to devise a self-training strategy to adapt the model to unnanotated real handwritten letterings. The proposed approach is compared to supervised approaches and state-of-the-art results on both established and novel datasets, achieving satisfactory performance. 1
Adversarial examples generation for deep neural networks
Procházka, Štěpán ; Neruda, Roman (advisor) ; Kratochvíl, Miroslav (referee)
Machine learning models exhibit vulnerability to adversarial examples i.e., artificially created inputs that become misinterpreted. The goal of this work is to explore black-box adversarial attacks on deep networks performing image classification. The role of surrogate machine learning models for adversarial attacks is studied, and a special version of a genetic algorithm for generating adversarial examples is proposed. The efficiency of attacks is validated by a multitude of experiments with the Fashion MNIST data set. The experimental results verify the usability of our approach with surprisingly good performance in several cases, such as non-targeted attack on residual networks.

Economic importance of electricity from renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic
Procházka, Štěpán ; Petrášek, František (advisor) ; Běláčková, Vendula (referee)
This thesis deals with the national economy importance of electricity from renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part introduces the different types of RES legislation relative to RES and energy intensity of the economy of the Czech Republic. Analytical part shows the financial impact of support RES in the Czech Republic to year 2030.
Effects of the use of biofuels in the fuel prices and food prices
Procházka, Štěpán ; Ryvolová, Ivana (advisor) ; Petrášek, František (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the use of biofuels in the fuel prices and food prices. The theoretical part introduces the concept of biofuels, the grounds for introducing them and try to show some increase in prices of agricultural commodities as a result of biofuel production and their impact on fuel prices. Analytical part provides a method that allows you to calculate the limit price for 1 barrel RME (rape-seed methyl ester) using the change rate of CZK / USD and change in oil prices in USD per 1 barrel. The aim of this work is to assess the impact of biofuel production on food prices and fuel.
