The master's thesis deals with automatic classifi cation of text document. It explains basic terms and problems of text mining. The thesis explains term clustering and shows some basic clustering algoritms. The thesis also shows some methods of classi fication and deals with matrix regression closely. Application using matrix regression for classifi cation was designed and developed. Experiments were focused on normalization and thresholding.

The bachelor's thesis deals with statistical description of textures by methods LBP and co-occurence matrix. The co-occurence matrix is evalueted by Haralick's texture features. The implementation is in C++ language with using CImg.h library.

These ligands are interesting for their use as pharmacological tools to clarify activity-induced conformational transitions. Moreover, dualsteric ligands can serve like a concept for design of new drugs. It was already prove that dualsteric compounds containing orthosteric ligand, which can act as agonist or antagonist, and allosteric part, which act as address determining target receptor via own selectivity, have affected affinity to receptor. Further, dualsteric binding can serve to introduce receptor subtype selectivity. Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors are related to G-proteins. Until now five subtypes of these receptors (usually marked as M1 - M5) are known. Activation of single muscarinic acetylcholine receptors subtypes induce different replies. Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors are widely represent in entire organism and are important targets for some drugs....

Reclamation of open-cast mines: analysis of the decision-making process about the way of land reclamation

The work "Reclamation of open-cast mines: analysis of the decision-making process about the way of land reclamation" deals with reclamation of areas damaged by open-cast brown coal mining in the Czech Republic. It provides information about about the history of reclamation and a summary of the influence of mining on the individual elements of the environment. Besides that it talks about reclamation phases, common ways of reclamation, factors influencing the choice of the applied way of reclamation, the most frequent ways of reclamation and its financing. A general comparison of expenses reflecting the respective ways of reclamation is also a part of the work. The practical part is devoted to the way of reclamation of the open-cast mine Leţáky-Most in the area of the town of Most with a more detailed focus on the residual pit of this mine that is currently being deluged. This pit is meant to become a wide-spread lake of Most. Additionally, the decision-making process in the matter of the way of reclamation, its participants, main interests and aspects that may influence the process are a subject of my research. At this point I also share the plenty of information gained as a part of my qualitative research carried out while interviewing the individual stakeholders who take their specific part in the decision-making process.

Influence of Sc.sup.3+./sup. doping on Pr.sup.3+./sup. emission in epitaxial scintillation garnet layers

Yttrium (Y3Al5O12) and lutetium (Lu3Al5O12) aluminium garnets doped by rare earths such as Ce, Eu, Pr, are considered as very good scintillation materials. The garnets have chemical, mechanical, and radiation stability superior to most of scintillation materials and light yield is high, thus they are often used as scintillation screens.
