The mystery of Jesus Christ's life in reflections of guests and staff of Radio Proglas The thesis is written at the Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology of Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague under the lead of prof. Ctirad V. Pospíšil, Th.D. The main source of author's research is the collection of 230 minutes of Radio Proglas programme called "Myšlenka na den" (The Thought of the Day). This collection is analyzed form the point of the view of Christology and soteriology. The second source is the theological literature, especially the prof. Ctirad V. Pospíšil's monography Jesus of Nazareth, Lord and Saviour, which is used as the theoretical base of the thesis. This theoretical base is illustrated by appropriate texts from the programme "Myšlenka na den". "Myšlenka na den" is the everyday programme: a reflection, where its author contemplates and comments the events of the civic and liturgical year. It is a personal reflection of people of Christian faith. The authors of "Myšlenka na den", guests and staff of Radio Proglas, are in 90 per cents of Roman Catholic confession. Among them are bishops, priests, laypersons with basic or higher theological education. Radio Proglas has the ecumenical dimension. Therefore the programme is also prepared - in appropriate proportion -...

Havrlant, Jaroslav ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (advisor) ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (referee) ; Machula, Tomáš (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Catholic Theological Faculty Thesis, Prague 2013 ABSTRACT Ecclesiology of Tomáš Bavorovský († 1562) Jaroslav Havrlant Catholic preacher Tomáš Bavorovský (Thomas of Bavorov) is still a quite unknown personality of Bohemian renaissance. He is the representative of the Church loyal to the Pope in Rome shortly before the end of the Trident council and the arrival of Jesuits to Prague. The result of my study aimed at his ecclesiological approach is my thesis, which contains five chapters. The first three chapters are concerned with common historical facts of his time as well as with life and work of the preacher. The others focus on his interpretation of the Church and the Kingdom of God. The first chapter describes specific situation of Bohemian reformation, which was different from the neighboring countries because of its Hussite tradition and Utraquistic Church. Tomáš Bavorovský worked mostly in Catholic south and west Bohemian towns (Bavorov, Český Krumlov, Jindřichův Hradec, Plzeň). Therefore I describe in short also their religious history in this chapter. The part concerning the personality of the preacher starts with describing him as a writer. In chronological sequences it presents the writers who have written about him. Even though Tomáš Bavorovský was quite famous author...

Kábele, Tomáš ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (advisor) ; Novotný, Vojtěch (referee)
1 Diplomová práce Tomáš Kábele: Cesta filozofie náboženství, potažmo filozofické teologie: R. Schaeffler - T. de Boer - C. Jež, Praha 2014 Keywords philosophy of theology, systematic theology, history of the Czech theology Abstract This thesis describes the path of philosophy of religion in the 20th century. Contemporary Authors Richard Schaefller and Theo de Boer gave new impulse to the philosophy of religion: a different view of God's characteristics (e.g. transcendence, perfection), emphasis on the experience of revelation and existential experience, finding inspiration in art and contemporary culture, thinking in a dialogical context - Personnel a positive perception of time and historicity, the newly rediscovered structure they will tell faith. In contrast, the philosophy of religion early 20th century based on reason and Aristotelian thought and refused to talk about the role of time in the region. As its representative serves to author of this work Cyril Weir's writings: Personal God and religion. The thesis assesses the work in the historical context, deals with the analysis of his book, while it compares with the current philosophy of religion. In the end the author evaluates the ideas that the results of his work can offer to the dogmatic theology.
Trinitological Readining of 8th Sermon on Song of Songs by Bernard of Clairvaux
Macek, Karel ; Ventura, Václav (advisor) ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (referee)
The Sermons on Song of Songs by Bernard of Clairvaux belong in the tradition of interpretation of the Song of Songs to the most renowned. The eighth sermon differs since the author applies the analogical exegesis not to the relationship between God and soul or church, but to relationship between divine persons Father and Son, where the relationship, denoted by the metaphor of kiss, is identified with the Holy Spirit. This bachelor thesis aims to examine the eigth sermon thoroughly. At first, the broader context is provided, namely facts related to the biblical text, Bernard's life, as well as terms and structures of dogmatic theology, especially trinitology. Consequently, this context is used for the reading itself and subsequent analysis of the examined text. The thesis offers two main results: on the one hand, it points out the double aplication of analogia entis, while on the other hand, it points out the relationship between the examined text and the trinitology of Richard of Saint Victor.

Basic approaches and lines in the Christological work of Joseph Ratzinger - Benedict XVI. The thesis gives an outline of Joseph Ratzinger - Benedict XVI's Christology. It focuses on the Pope's two-volume book about Jesus and the disputation it raised in the theological world. The first chapter presents a brief biography of Joseph Ratzinger, the second chapter deals with basic methodological approaches towards Christology: the relationship between historical and theological exegetics and between the Old and New Testaments, also the relation between biblical faith and philosophical (historical) reason. The third chapter presents the basic lines of Ratzinger's theology - incarnation, mystery of Jesus' life, theology of the cross and soteriology. In his Christology Ratzinger strives for a synthesis of historical-critical and ecclesiastic- theological exegetics and for the connection of philosophical (historical) reason and biblical faith. Model of the synthesis is incarnation: unification of divine and human nature in the person of the Word incarnate. On the ground of this unity not only historical, but also theological interpretation of the Gospel is possible, and also the christological interpretation of the Old Testament. The central topic of Ratzinger's Christology is confession of Jesus as God's...
