Multiplatform authentication system

This thesis describes the design of a multiplatform authentication system that enables user authentication by using a wide variety of authentication tokens. The theoretical part is devoted to an overview of authentication interfaces with focus on modern methods of verification. There is also an overview of authentication schemes. The practical part gives requirements for an authentication terminal and sets a specific hardware structure, including the specification of individual functional blocks. The implementation of the software logic uses Java and JavaScript programming languages. Attention is also paid to the used authentication schemes including details and comparison of used platforms. Finally, we evaluate the user and security aspects of the proposed solution. It is also given the possibility of additional hardware and software optimization.

Automation of measurement of transmission properties of DSL modems

The work deals with transmission parameters of DSL systems and software development for the automated measurement. The first part is devoted to the transmission medium and modulation techniques. The following describes the detailed functions and features of ADSL2+ modems. Integral part of the work is the overview of the ITU test methodology, together with parameters of test loops and types of interference. Within the automation of measurement are described used Spirent simulators DSL414E and DLS8234 and important communication commands. The practical part is devoted to designing applications for control simulators and software for automated measurement. For implementation of algorithms and creation of graphical interface is used C++ programming language. Finally the results of measuring the transmission properties of ADSL and VDSL systems executed by created application are presented.

desalination of see water

Along with the Earth's population growth the requirements for water supply increase. Resources of fresh water are already unable to supply citizens, industry and agriculture of some countries. This concerns in particular xeric, long-shore areas as Australia. These areas dispose of huge amount of water. Unfortunately it is saline water. Saline water contains lots of solute matter concentrated in 37000 mg per liter, which makes it unsuitable for any use. With an assistance of membrane processes it is possible to rid the water of this solute matter and hereafter use it as fresh water for industry or agriculture. The most expoited method of saline water purification is reverse osmosis, which offers the best performance in proportion to the consumtion of electric energy.

Model assessment of surface water quality in the area of the City of Prague

This thesis is concerned with analysis and brief evaluation of hydrological data provided by Lesy hl. m. Prahy company. Processing and assessment of data was carried out within two separate parts. First by means of statistical analysis and in the second section by a visual model using GIS application, method called GWR (geographically weighed regression). The data was processed through the statistical method of scattering, factoring and cluster analysis. To enable this data research a modification using MS Excel application was necessary followed by formation of a script in R application. These adjustments were inevitable due to a high number of records. The data is constituted by values of the following indicators: BSK, CHSK, nitrogen nitrate, dissolved oxygen and undissolved matter, measured within a range of eleven years in various drawing profiles of fifteen Prague streams. In the second part of this work the model was created by GWR method and by experimental attainment of various factors which could hypotethically affect the quality of surface water in the capital city of Prague. By means of statistical methods existence of several places that are negatively affected by urbanizations and human activity has been proven.
