TITLE: Injury rate in men's volleyball AUTHOR: Barbora Bočková DEPARTMENT: Department of Physical Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Jana Hájková ABSTRACT This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of injuries in men's volleyball. The aim of this study was to determine the most commonly injured body part among volleyball players. The partial goals were to determine the extent to which injuries are related to playing activities, playing positions, recovery, whether injuries occur more often in training or during matches, and what the coaches of the extraliga teams think about the issue of injuries. The thesis consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is divided into three topics: volleyball, injuries, and recovery. The volleyball topic deals with the characteristics of volleyball, rules, and the structure of sports performance. The injuries topic contains a description of injuries, sports injuries, and the most common types of injuries in volleyball. The recovery topic deals with the characteristics of recovery itself and its selected forms. In addition to the main goal, sub-goals were also set within the framework of this work, and for each of them there was always one research question. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part generally focuses on youth volleyball, its rules and system. It also focuses on individual playing activities and their technique and methodology, sports training and training unit. The practical part is focused on the interpretation and comparison of the annual training plans of the teams and their answers in the questionnaire survey from different points of view. The questionnaire is evaluated within the overall responses, then within the individual cooperatives, and finally within the individual categories. The influence of laterality of lower limbs of football players on game success rate.

The work examines 12 players from the English Premier League and their teams. The sample focuses on 3 players with a dominant right lower limb playing on the right side of the pitch, 3 players with a dominant left lower limb playing on the right side of the pitch, 3 players with a dominant left lower limb playing on the left side of the pitch, and 3 players with a dominant right lower limb playing on the left side of the pitch for a period of 3 months, corresponding to 12 matches. The players were monitored using video analysis. Their game success was recorded using notation methods. Statistical data analysis was used to evaluate the collected data. The aim of the work was to determine the success of the players in resolving game situations according to their laterality and playing positions. Their success was also compared and conclusions were drawn from the results. The results of the work showed that players playing on their non-dominant side excel mainly in shooting and passing statistics. Players playing on their dominant side showed significantly better results in centering. It was also found that both groups of players showed minimal percentage difference in the frequency of using their non-dominant limb. Analysis of floorball teaching at the 2nd grade of elementary school

This bachelor's thesis deal with the issue of floorball teaching as part of physical education at the second level of elementary schools. The main goal was to analyze teaching at sport classes. In the theoretical part, I focused on the analysis of professional literature dealing with floorball rules, game activities and game combinations. During the research part, I focused on educators. With the help of questionnaires that I sent out to every elementary school in Orlicko-Ústecko region, I found out, which methods teachers apply in their lectures. I also investigated the sport equipment and the popularity of floorball across students and teachers. The result of research showed that teachers in physical classes apply simpler games activities rather than game combinations in their lessons. Regarding the sport equipment, it was found out that all elementary schools have good and enough sport equipment. Our research also confirmed a theory that floorball is a very popular sport nowadays among students.

Implementation and success of offensive standard situations in football in the Czech highest women's league

My bachelors work is focusing on offensive standard situation in soccer, in particular its realisation and its succes. My analysis is based on watching recorded women's soccer matches in first czech women soccer league. This bachelors work is composed of two main parts - the teoretical part and research section. Teoretical part is focusing on teoretical terms, which are rules of soccer, gaming systems and standard situation. In research section I dealt with the way teams are pitching game situations, the place that standard situations are played from the most often,which player is usually starting the standard sitaution, which player is usually ending the situation, if the standard situations end in goal or not and mainly, how are particular realisation of standard situations succesful, all that in first czech women soccer league. Informations from my bachelors work can be used by coaches for analysis offensive standard situations individual teams of first czech women soccer league and coaches can choose suitable tactic for realisation of offensive standard situations. Origin and development of women's ice hockey

The subject of the bachelor's thesis is a summary of women's ice hockey from history to the present in the world and in our country. The main goal is therefore an overall analysis of the development of this sport, how women's hockey was created and developed, when it experienced the greatest boom and when, on the contrary, it declined. The secondary goal is to outline the development of the rules and summarize the current situation of women's hockey. In the beginning of the thesis, a brief description of this sport is given and the origin of hockey is described. Furthermore, the most famous women's hockey names are mentioned here, and at the end of the work, the differences between the rules of women's and men's ice hockey are defined. The Use of Gymnastics Exercises in the Sports training of Ice Hockey Players of Younger School Age

Title: The use of gymnastic exercises in the sports training of ice hockey players of younger school age Objectives: The main goal of the work is to determine the influence of gymnastic exercises on the level of movement abilities and skills of hockey players of younger school age. Other sub-goals are to place the research results in todays and historical context and to create and retrospectively evaluate an intervention exercise program. Methods: The test method was used in the work. In order to determine the influence of gymnastic exercises on the level of movement abilities, a test profile was compiled for the purposes of this work. The testing took place in two periods - before joining the intervention exercise program and after its completion. The data obtained in the testing were processed using basic statistical methods in the Microsoft Excel program. The theoretical part was prepared in the form of a literature search from various sources related to the given issue. Results: Through testing, it was found that the inclusion of gymnastic exercises in the sports training of ice hockey players of younger school age resulted in a significant increase in the level of observed movement abilities and skills.
