Approximation by the TLS method: linear data fitting for problems with unprecise models
Pokorná, Kateřina ; Hnětynková, Iveta (advisor) ; Duintjer Tebbens, Erik Jurjen (referee)
In this thesis, we concern ourselves with the linear approximation problem, where errors in both the observation and the data are considered. We focus on the total least squares problem (TLS), which may be used in solving such tasks. We summarise ba- sic theory of the existence and uniqueness of the TLS solution, present the classic TLS algorithm and examine some possible complications, which may appear during its imple- mentation. Furthermore, we shall study the singular value decomposition (SVD), which is used in constructing the TLS solution. As the SVD is rather difficult to compute, we discuss one of the possible methods of approximating only its part necessary for the construction of the TLS solution, the so called singular triplets. This method is based on Golub-Kahan iterative bidiagonalization. Finally, we shall test how the quality of the approximation of the smallest singular triplets influences the computed TLS solution. 1

Key words: gift, talent, education of gifted children, teaching methods and forms of working oganization This graduation theses is focused on gifted children and their signs. The theoretical part contains legislature relevant to educating of gifted children in the Czech Republic and various options of the optimalisation of educating process for gifted pupils. It also focus on different methods of recognising gifted children, educating them in school, options of educating and its problems, it deals with the formes of organisation of the teaching methods and basic approaches to educating of gifted pupils. The experimental part of this work is divided into two parts. The first one shows the pupils' oppinion about education, who visit the school for gifted children, the second one contents interview with teachers and examples of the good work with educating children.

Pokorná, Kateřina ; Polášková, Marcela (advisor) ; Coufalová, Klára (referee)
Title Diagnosis of the nutritional status focused on overweight and obese population. The aim of the work The aim of thesis is to summarize and describe the methods that are used for determining the nutritional status of overweight and obese individuals. Methodology The thesis is a theoretical work with a search character. The main method in the creation of this type of work is a critical content analysis of available resources for the work, and the subsequent comparison of selected findings about diagnosis of nutritional status of overweight and obese population. Results Review article shows that in the clinical practices of identifying a person's nutritional status of overweight or obese at the first contact with the examined using BMI. The orientation index is also used index WHR. Due to the approximate nature of these indexes, however, provides for additional precise examinations body composition, which are for example caliper measurements or bioimpedance. Essential components of a diagnosis of nutritional status are also constitutional typology, family and personal history, immunological examination, biochemical tests and monitoring dietary habits. Keywords Nutritional status of the organism, diagnosis of nutritional status, health, overweight, obesity

Employment of the Czech Republic citizens in other EU member states
Pokorná, Kateřina ; Štefko, Martin (advisor) ; Hůrka, Petr (referee)
The Employment of the Czech citizens in other member states of the European Union The basic aim of my thesis is to analyze possibilities of Czech citizens seeking job in other member states of European Union. The enlargement of EU in 2004 and 2007 opened borders to labour markets of the old EU countries for citizens of new member states. Czech citizens are able to search for a job in most of the states of EU except of Germany and Austria. In my work I concentrate especially on research of United Kingdom. It is a country that opened the labour market for Czech citizens the day our accession to European Union. My thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the first three chapters I analyze the right of free movement of persons, workers and right of settlement. I concentrate on the development from the historical point of view. I also mention the European legislation related to the free movement right. The fourth chapter explains the migration, and the potential of Czech migrant workers. I also describe the reasons for Czech foreign migration. In the fifth chapter I focus on the employment of Czech citizens in other member states in general. I explain where Czechs are able to work and in which circumstances. In the sixth chapter I would like to explain all the possibilities, restrictions, rights and...
