Industrial bakery Herold Brno
Pohludka, Jan ; Štikar, Jaroslav (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to create the resulting degrees of project documentation for the architectural study I had made in the subject AG35. Herold company engaged in bakery manufactoring since year 1993 and has become an important regional supplier. The new building in Brno – Heršpice ensure the company will expand production capacity and will move closer to area of marketing. Herold company will use the building for producing breads, rolls and other bakery products. Production process will realize in three work shifts a day. The most numerous will be the night one. The building will contain also an administrative and managing part of all Herold company. The new building is an industrial building with ground plan dimensions approximately 84 x 32 meters. The project respects the place and the surroundings. Three cardinal points are surrounded by unimpressive industrial buildings but the fourth-North side is properly oriented toward the residential buildings with the silhouette of Petrov and Špilberk castle. Therefore it is oriented to the North. The building is composed of two cubic masses – the taller one and the smaller one – according to the required clear height in interior. The architectural shape is subordinate to function and the design should be maximally minimalist without any additional masses. The most important idea in the project is keeping transparency and clarity adapted to human scale. A functional architecture should show where we can enter and on the contrary where the restricted areas are. It should reflect the current architectural tendencies and the local genius loci and also represented the owner. That’s why Herold company aren´t surrounded by fence. On the other way there is projected extensive grassy area in contrast of industrial building. Prefering functional disposition and architectural elements (ribbon window, free glass facade, connection with the nature, flat roof, etc.) refer to the Functionalism history of Brno.
Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Pohludka, Jan ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The diploma thesis The Sports & Relaxation Center Vsetín, Ohrada deals with an area surrounding former spartakiad stadium. This area is defined by the Vsetínská Bečva from the north-west, a limited-access road from the north-east and by waterworks from the south. That is how it creates notional triangle on the south outskirts of the town of Vsetín. The project aims to motivate people to spend more time doing sports activities in a beautiful environment located near the Bečva river and so offer them healthier possibility compared to time spend in shopping centers or block of flats. Since the environs of the area are extensively varied, we can’t follow current street network. So, I decided to create centralized urban concept and imaginary turn back to the town with a wall, which separates quiet pedestrian zones of the sports complex from everyday city rush and opens the view of the river, nearby wooded hills and meadows. Thanks to the aforementioned wall we will also have a use for the soil from the stands of the existing stadium. As we talk about area seemingly laying behind the built-up urban boundary, the landscape is more important than the urban structure, and the individual buildings are located outside the viewpoints, making them only supplementary elements to the ever-present greenery. The composition of the buildings consists of a central atypical hall and two type commercial buildings on the sides, where there are individual sports facilities and multipurpose grass areas between them.
Construction of laboratory model "Ball on Spool"
Pohludka, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Dobossy, Barnabás (advisor)
This thesis is primarily about designing laboratory model Ball on Spool. The first part of this thesis describes modelling of the system, calculation of parameters, design of the control and simulation, based on which the requirements for the actuator are determined. Secondly, this thesis outlines the design of physical model based on simulation results. All of the components used are described, together with the electrical circuit. Parameters of the physical model are estimated using measured data from experiments. The last part is about designing a control of physical model and its demonstration. This thesis also includes a user manual.
