Decompositions of directed and undirected graphs
Pelikánová, Petra ; Loebl, Martin (advisor) ; Klimošová, Tereza (referee)
Eulerian graphs have a closed walk traversing each edge exactly once. Finding such a walk is a basic arc routing problem based on a road network. Most of the problems with applications in operational research are NP-hard. We describe a formal model of a road network and vehicle routes and formulate several arc routing problems motivated by winter road maintenance in the Czech Republic. The main part is focused on single vehicle routing problems on trees. We propose a new unfairness minimization problem for finding a vehicle route with properties that lead to a minimal number of resident complaints against unfair maintenance. Residents feel like they are skipped when the vehicle route has multiple trips and passes nearby without providing maintenance to their street. By reduction of the necklace splitting problem to the unfairness minimization problem we prove it is PPA-complete. Further, we define a restricted arc routing problem on trees which formalize condi- tions given by Czech legislation. We proved the existence of a polynomial algorithm for deciding whether a single vehicle route exists when there is a single priority for roads. If multiple priorities are used, we express conditions and conjectures when the problem has polynomial complexity. Finally, a utilization of the model is illustrated by an...
Lexical skills of upper primary school pupils
PELIKÁNOVÁ, Petra
My diploma thesis deals with the state of pupils' vocabulary in the sixths and ninths grades. The thesis focuses on the pupils' understanding of the words which occur at the periphery of the vocabulary, mainly to literary expressions, archaisms, historisms, poetisms. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical, part is given deffiniton off basic terms related to the topic. In the second, practical, part is described whole cours and results of tests, which I gave to the pupils. Based on these test I have answered predefined research questions.
The Street Name terminology in the town of Prachatice
PELIKÁNOVÁ, Petra
This bachelor thesis deals with urbanonyms of town Prachatice. Based on historical literature, it maps evolution of names of streets in Prachatice. Names of streets are classified by their motivation and meaning, including sorting by significant person, event, place or value, often with indirect connection to the marked place. Goal of the thesis is to create an integrated view of names of streets in Prachatice including their evolution and contribute to the knowledge of urbanonyms and history of town.
Estimating data with use of interval analysis
Pelikánová, Petra ; Horáček, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Černý, Michael (referee)
This work is focused on estimating interval data by real functions and interval functions. It presents possibilistic and necessity models of interval regression and compares its strong and week formulations. Further we describe algorithms of linear and nonlinear estimation. The application part is based on demonstration of tolerance method and subtracting tolerance method analysing real cases. 1
The biogeography as a part of the teaching matter in basic schools
PELIKÁNOVÁ, Petra
Pelikánová P. 2009: Biogeography in education at secondary schools. MSc. Thesis. University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical Faculty, České Budějovice. 133 p. This diploma thesis presents summary of biogeography and world bioms themes and conceives biogeographical textbook chapter that includes also excercises and exam test. This chapter are addressed to pupils of secondary schools. It is based on analyses of geography and biology textbooks. This thesis also proposes incorporation and implementation of this topic to the tutorial of secondary schools.
