Block Cejl – Svitava RIver Waterfront

The subject of interest in this bachelor thesis is the premises of the former textile factory in Brno - Zábrdovice. The location, located between Cejl Street and the Svitavy embankment near the historical center of the city, has great potential for development. In the urban part, the thesis deals with the creation of an optimal building program, namely space for housing and leisure. It deals with a suitable connection to the surrounding transport. From the Architectural part, solves the design of residential buildings and their connection to the whole area. It also deals with the opening of the area towards the Svitavy embankment and closes the block towards to Cejl street.

The main object of this bachelor thesis is a complex of a former textile factory in Brno Zabrdovice. The location is situated between the Cejl street and Svitava river waterfront near the historical center of the city and has a big potential for development. The thesis in their urban part deals with the development and restoration of urban structure, opening the Cejl street toward the riverbank with a new parterre and civic amenities. Architectural project is responding to attractive position of the complex at the right bank of the river Svitava. There is a design set of new residential and administrative buildings, which could bring their function back to life to life collapsing neighborhood. Opening the space towards the river and street Cejl has a goal to make an access for residents to the river waterfront with green vegetation.
Area Nové sady - Conversion

The work about Nové Nové Sady is solving place around avenue Nové Sady in a situation where the main railway station does not move into the Southern city center but is retained in its current location. The project is focused on urban sites where is now very low density. A large part of the land is occupied by the railway constructions. The aim was to create a functioning urban structure with high population density combined with smaller offices and shops. An important feature is the rise up density of the existing urban structure. Emphasis is placed on the views of the dominant Petrov Spilberk that this area offers.

The Urban Development of the City of Hradec Králové throughout 20th 21st Century

The bachelor’s thesis topic is urban development of Hradec Kralove city in 20th and 21st century. The thesis inquires into the city’s growth, hence urban development, and appearance. It presents a chronological evolution in historical consequences and briefly highlights the most important sights. The thesis describes the current state of the area from its functional division point of view. It summarizes basic findings about urbanism from the available literature and applies these to the city of Hradec Kralove. It defines problematic areas of the city’s development by analyzing territorial planning documents.
The viticulture Lahofer

This bachelor thesis extends the bachelor’s studio project aimed at creating a survey on a new building for Vinařství Lanhofer company. The considered area lies in the territory of Dobšice near Znojmo and with its slightly rolling landscape is used for agricultural purposes. The mentioned trapezoid building site faces southwest, at the time was covered with vineyard and was bordered by minor roads connecting the plot to Dobšice and Suchohrdly. Building a new production site that would be able to produce up to 60 thousand bottles of wine, could be also used as storage space or would incorporate related services was intended. There were premises for public use, formal events or wine-tasting planned. The layout included restaurant with outside seating, sanitary facilities both for visitors and employees. Such a large-scale production of wine could be almost considered an industrial production that set up the main idea of the design. The basic clue of this project is searching an ideal shape of the production area that – in historical context of industrial buildings – is saw-shaped rooftop silhouette. The material concept of the building is based on visual and logical separating of production premises from public spaces that had been achieved by distinguishing both areas by using different facade cover. Stainless steel representing production environment and Cor-Ten patina steel panelling describing eternal wine maturation.
The Urban Analysis of Čierná Voda Municipality in Terms of Contemporary Trends in Urbanism and Urban Planning

This thesis is attended to the urban solution of Čierna Voda municipality aiming at the urban planning concept, infrastructure problems and the status of a satellite city of Bratislava capital. It also resolves connection to the capital and subregion problematics. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate factors and decisions which had an impact on the actual urbanism and pattern of the municipality in last years. Evaluation is done with the help of a zoning plan, town planning scheme and other urban planning documentation. The outcome information and knowledge can be used in further urbanism and urban planning in the on-coming years and plan the municipality citizen-friendly, respecting resident's needs and taking lessons from past mistakes.
The House nearby little chapel

The aim of this thesis was a proposal of new multifunctional house in the cadastral area Brno-Židenice. On this topic was made proposal in the AG32 subject. The building is located on the corner parcell of Nezamyslova and Táborská. The main objective in the design was to create a high-quality and full-fledged housing despite the hectic place where the building is located. The shape of the building is based on the street lines of streets mentioned above. Another factor taken into consideration is the chapel right on the junction of streets. The proposed house is trying complement chaple by its simple cubic form. Space between the house and the chapel should become more busy meeting place for locals. This action are supported by café located in front face of the building, which can expand outdoors during the summer time. An important element is the passage to a quieter area in the yard, where there is semi-public zone shielded from the bustle of the street used for rest. This duality is emphasized by the use of expanded metal facades only from the street side, which serves as a shading element. Conversely, in the yard of the house shows its milder form using white facade. Diverse height of the building respond to the increasing assumption of buildings and busy the street. Street Táborská is intended tram and car traffic, connects Židenice with Julianov and the surrounding area gradually undergoing renovations at which raises the height of surrounding buildings. On this side object has 4 storeys. Street Nezamyslova is only served by tram lines, the surrounding area are the family houses, which gradually decrease from the building. In this street object has only 3 floors. Proposed building becomes corner building that closes the block with the connection to the surroundings. Apartments in the building are designed to cover the widest possible the requirements for housing.
The Development of Country Settlements Demonstrated on Examples of Villages: Bělotín, Starý Jičín and Hustopeče nad Bečvou

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the development of Czech country settlements on the examples of three selected municipalities: Bělotín, Starý Jičín and Hustopeče nad Bečvou, and then to evaluate their potential for future development. The evaluation of these locations is based on the individual analyses studying their history, current facilities, transport infrastructure and municipalities' visions of their further development according to local zoning plans.
The Farm of 21st century

The Bachelor´s Thesis is based on the architectural study completed during the second year of the bachelor´s studies. Its aim was to design horse houses for hypotherapy with ouside uncoverd riding hall, inside roofed riding hall and an additional capacity of accommodation for visitors besides an existing object. The building is located in Orlicke hory, what affected setting in the topography and the entire setting within a building lot. In respect of a huge degree of incline of the topography, the object is set along level curves and it reflects the topography configuration. The Adelheide Farm consists of the three parts, one of them is roofed riding hall, a part meant to be a box horse housing and a part which is aimed to be a public space, what should be visible from the outside view. The design combines a traditional architecture of Orlicke hory with a modern architecture. There are used natural materials in the design, for example wood. The wooden facade lamella link two objects optically.
