Object layout in a 2D room based on text description
Pavelka, Jan ; Rosa, Rudolf (advisor) ; Kasner, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis presents a solution for generating structured description a 2D map of a room from a bird's eye view based on textual description in Czech. It focuses on identifying physical objects and their mutual relative positions in the description. It describes linguistic phenomena of the information extraction and their usage in the im- plementation. It shows how syntactic parsing can be used for this task. Then, it uses a genetic algorithm to find a feasible layout of the extracted objects with respect to spatial constraints constructed from the extracted information. 1
Využití běžeckého wattmetru STRYD pro stanovení úrovně VO2max u vytrvalostních běžců
Bekr, Ondřej ; Kundera, Václav (referee) ; Pavelka, Jan (advisor)
Determining the limits of general endurance, critical power and maximal oxygen consumption is now a common part of the training process of professional athletes and their preparation to achieve the best possible sports results. Power is a very useful metric in cycling, but in recent years runners have also been trying to exploit its potential. Running power is only functional if it represents well the metabolic load of the organism. This thesis investigates the relationship between running power PO and oxygen consumption VO2, a representative of the metabolic load of the organism, in indoor and outdoor environments. Furthermore, thesis verifies the possibility of determining the VO2max level of runners using running power. The relationship between PO and VO2 is linear, for individual subjects the R2 is 0,95±0,07 in the indoor and 0,97±0,02 in the outdoor. For all subjects (TO) in the indoor the R2 takes the value of 0,67 and in the outdoor the value of 0,79. There was a difference of 1,2% (PO) and 3,7% (VO2max) between the values measured in the different environments. The model prediction from all TO in the indoor environment has an error of 3,5%.
Comparison of measurement accuracy of test batteries of the OptoJump Next device
Repčík, Martin ; Pavelka, Jan (referee) ; Kundera, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the accuracy of two pre-set high jump tests using the OptoJump Next device. He compares these results first with the real height measured using the BTS Smart DX device, then with each other to find out which of the tests better measures the desired parameter, or with what deviation.
n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in prevention of cardiovascular diseases
Pavelka, Jan ; Kraml, Pavel (advisor) ; Černá, Milena (referee)
Clinical trials have documented beneficial effect of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on health. Regular dietary intake of n-3 PUFAs decreases the risk of cardiovascular dieseas. n-3 PUFAs may be a safe and effective supplement to drug treatment for reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death. n-3 PUFAs show antiatherogenic properties; e.g. they decrease inflammation, stabilize atherosclerotic plaques and prevent other chronic deseases. For primary prevention it is recommended to eat fish at least twice a week, people with documented coronary heart disease should consume 1 gram of n-3 PUFAs daily. Fish oil and oily fish (losos, tuna, trout, mackerel) are rich in EPA and DHA. ALA is found e.g. in flax seed oil.

Interferometric system is designed to calibrate the measurement frame, used for periodic assessment of the inner geometry of the reactor active zone chassis. Calibration lenght is up to 3300mm.
Study of laser wobbling welding process through the radiation of plasma plume
Mrňa, Libor ; Horník, Petr ; Jedlička, Petr ; Pavelka, Jan
During laser welding with wobbling to the vector of the welding speed adds trivial movement of the beam in the shape of a circle or other shapes. Therefore, the laser beam moves with much higher current speeds than during normal welding. The melting of material on the leading edge of the keyhole occurs periodically. This fact is reflected in the character of the radiation of plasma plume over the keyhole. Experiments were conducted in which it was obtained spectrum of plasma plume radiation by using autocorrelation function for different parameters of circular wobbling (circle diameter, frequency) and for different materials. In the spectra are found the higher harmonic frequency of wobbling. The results were also compared with the radiation of the plasma plume during pulsed laser welding where the laser beam also periodically melts the leading edge.
