Current source for measuring purposes
Chevalier, Stanislav ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
Goal of this semestral thesis is to design power converter which is to be used for measurement. The converter consists of two forward converters in push-pull topology. The converter is to behave as a constant current source with maximum open-circuit voltage of 1000V. Maximum current is 5A. The current range is split into three sub-ranges, to meet the strict requirements on ripple current. The range of currents is 0-5A. The operating frequency of converter is 34KHz. The converter will be charged using two portable electric generators with output voltage 230V.
Calculation of optimum slip frequency of induction motor for minimisation of its losses
Bednařík, Václav ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on the minimisation of losses by calculation of optimum slip frequency of induction motor. The next point of this master‘s thesis is supersaturation. Supersaturation must be solved for the size of losses, because of the effect that is cause of the losses, when current increases with saturation. However current is not increase proportionally with increasing saturation, but increases several times more. This problem is included in the calculation of the slip frequency. Optimum of slip frequency is solve for modified gamma model of induction machine. In the main point of this thesis is outlined the process, how the optimum can be found. With same process were already were found the equations, but they were too extensit. In the end is solved the optimum of slip frequency be minimum of the flux density.
Control of Three-phase Sinusoidal Power Source
Žůrek, Tomáš ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Klíma, Bohumil (advisor)
This thesis deals with control of three phase inverter as three phase sinusoidal voltage source for UPS application. Thesis is split to two parts, teoretical and practical. Teoretical part deals with three phase inverter topology analysis according requirement of neutral line wire and possibilities of generating sinusoidal PWM in depend of topology. There are also analysed properties of contorled system and designed 3 regulation methods with simulations. Second part of thesis deals with realisation of sinusoidal power source with inverter borrowed by Elcom company. To inverter control is used digital signal controler TMS320F28335 with implemented control algorithms. There are also presented the measurement results of the prototype of power source. In conclusion, simulation results are compared with measurements and achieved results are summarized.
Power converter for artificial power net
Picmaus, Michal ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
Diploma work deals with a converter design for an artifical power net. There is described analysis of possible solving of this converter. Next there is contained dimension of components force circumference converter, design of filtres and converter regulator. Project deals with simulation of dynamical qualities for an output changer device in settings Matlab Simulink. In this work there is even a design power board alternator, wakers and directing of alternator.
Power Converter for the electric arc welding
Jaša, Jakub ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the peripheral design, construction design and implementation welder DC arc. The concept of welder is based on the use of two single action forward converter working-pull. Converters operate at a frequency of 60 kHz. Output current can be adjusted in the range from 0 to 140 A. After switching function the welder can operate as a battery charger. Charging current can be adjusted in the range of 0-70 A. The device is powered from a single phase supply 230 V.
Algorithms for the Control of the Induction Motor
Design of the electric locomotive drive
Dočekal, Martin ; Klíma, Bohumil (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
The focus of the work is the calculation and design of battery-powered drive of locomotive, operating in the sub-siding mode, ie when the locomotive is moving on the track section without the overhead line. The proposed battery groups to ensure the drive train will be installed directly into the locomotive engine room. In the theoretical part of the work there has been done the analysis of the electrical locomotives and electrical unit, which nowadays are used in the Czech Republic in driving of voltage controller with the integrated circuit. Then, in the chapter there is a brief description modern locomotives frequency convertor’s and rectifier’s function. The practical part of the work contains the necessary force and energy calculation for train moving on the determined rails. On the base of the received data, the design of battery groups has been done. These battery groups will work as an independent traction which insures the moving of the train on the determined rails. In the work the design, which consists of STEP-UP and STEP-DOWN convertors, has also been done. The power model and model management were created in Matlab Simulink programme. Data and graphs exported from the Matlab Simulink programm are determined for verifying convertor’s function, which can be found in a separate chapter. In addition to the proposal of the battery drive is at work also has been calculated loss of traction rectifier during normal operation of the locomotive, ie outside siding mode. For this calculation, in the conclusion is listed the theory of calculation of the losses incipient in the transistor and freewheeling diode of rectifier. According to the theory own calculation is performed. Subsequently the liquid cooler calculation of the rectifier is calculated.

Otýpka, Jan ; Běloušek, Josef (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This work deals the precise identification of the substituting circuit parameters of the asynchronous machine for the gama-network, inverted Gama-network, T-network. I make use the best identification of the substituting circuit parameters of the asynchronous machine experimental method, theoretical procedurs and konstruction dates. In this work I solve various methods of identification and i compare solving like construction moment's characteristics from these establishen parametrs. Further I'm solving in my work comparations of two the costruction of them is similar with asyhronous mashins with power of 2,2kW , 2p = 2.
Measurement of the losses in ferromagnetic materials
Schnabl, Jan ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
The first part of this thesis deals with the basic division of magnetic circuits and materials which are used for their construction. The next section focuses on the description of losses in the magnetic circuit. There is a description of hysteresis losses and eddy losses. The chapter contains the theoretical basis for the mathematical description of hysteresis and eddy losses. There is an analysis of the losses caused by the first harmonious and additional losses caused by harmonics. The third part describes the measurement of losses in ferromagnetic materials. There are all methods that are used. The fourth and fifth chapter is devoted to practical measurement hysteresis losses 1. phase transformer and measuring eddy losses in the inductor using the pulse method.
