The bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of the development of demand on the market of wood-based constructions in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the work was a market price survey of offers of wooden buildings according to selected and justified constructions. Furthermore, the work deals with the evaluation of marketability and identification of potentially successful structures in the market segment of the Czech Republic. The work in a broader context compares selected structures of wooden buildings with the prices of houses and apartments of non-wooden structures based on the floor area. At the end of the work there are the results of an exploration of individual companies dealing with the implementation of wooden buildings. The results are based on a questionnaire in which representatives of companies answered specific questions in four areas (construction company – authorized person, construction company – main information, interest in wooden buildings, personal opinion of the respondent). The information obtained will serve to specify the interest of users of the Czech Republic in wooden buildings. The exploration is intended primarily for suppliers of these structural systems.

Analysis fitness machine with respect to frictional force and the rolling resistance

The bachelor's thesis deals with the solution of a system of bodies with NNTP bonds, i.e. pas-sive effects are included in the solution of the examples. The first part describes the theoretical foundations of statics, bonds and types of passive effects. Next, kinematic analysis, relaxation of bodies, static analysis and compilation of static balance equations are explained. This know-ledge is then applied to a specific example. In one example, three tasks are solved using the Matlab program. The template for the calculations was a real weight training machine, on which an experiment was subsequently performed to verify the calculated results. In the se-cond part of the work, it is mentioned what the finite element method is and what it is used for. Finally, a deformation analysis is performed in the Ansys program.

Pubertal age assessment in bio-archaeology: an application to a Grand Moravian population (9.-11. centuries)

An estimation onset of puberty of past populations is a new approach in the field of bioarchaeology. Findings of the existence of a relationship between physiological processes (menarche onset), skeleton development, and mineralization of permanent teeth, confirm results of contemporary field research. Puberty, the focal point of this study, represents a key phase of the human life cycle with important biological and social connotations. This study focuses on the timing of pubertal development in the early medieval population of Great Moravia (9th−11th century). Inter alia, the aim of the thesis is to estimate the age of the onset and progression of puberty in selected localities of Great Moravia, to compare the timing of puberty among girls from different socioeconomic levels, and to compare pubertal development among girls and boys in particular sites. A total number of 66 individuals between the ages of 7 and 20 were chosen for the purpose of this research. The examined individuals originated from two Great Moravian sites (Mikulčice and Rajhrad) with distinct socioeconomic levels. Their puberty was evaluated on the basis of maturation of the skeleton and mineralization of the permanent mandibular dentition. The composition of the team at the intensive care and its optimalization.

The thesis is devoted to the issue of the number of nursing staff at the intensive care unit. The theoretical part deals with general characteristics of the team, which also specify the environment of nursing at the intensive care unit. The specification concerns with the representation of the individual nursing professions, their education and jobs skills. I try to map out legal and non - legal regulations determining or recommending the number and the composition of nursing staff at the intensive care and resuscitation units. The last chapter of the theoretical part is concerned with the issue of optimalization of the nursing team. The practical part is focused on analyzing data collected from the research on the topic mentioned above. To obtain the data I chose the method of quantitative research using a structure questionnaire. The aim of the practical part is to determine consistency or inconsistency between the legal and non - legal rules and their implementation in practice.

Effect of stable prolactin-releasing peptide analog in rat model of obesity

Obesity is a serious worldwide problem of modern society. Current state is at epidemic level not just in the developed world. It is no more "western disease" or "disease of affluence" as obesity used to be called. Determination of mechanisms that regulate energy balance in the human organism is necessary for further development of obesity drugs. Prolactin-releasing peptide (PrRP) is anorexigenic (food intake lowering) neuropeptide, which acts centrally in hypothalamus. Lipidized analogs of PrRP are promising tools in obesity and type-two diabetes mellitus treatment. This work is focused on impact of palmitoylated analog of prolactin-releasing peptide (palm11 -PrRP31) in a diet induced rat model of obesity after chronical administration. Body weight and cumulative food intake was monitored during the experiment. Administration of palm11 -PrRP31 markedly lowered food intake which caused decrease of body weight compared to obese control group on high-fat diet. This reduction correlated with significantly lower amount of intraperitoneal fat compared to group on high fat-diet. Also, high-fat diet worsened studied metabolic parameters including glucose tolerance. Palm11 -PrRP31 lowered leptin plasma level and improved glucose tolerance both compared to the high-fat fed.
