The Performance Evaluation of the Company using Balanced Scorecard

The subject of this diploma thesis is an evaluation of the company HBH Projekt spol. s.r.o., using the Balanced Scorecard method. In the first section, I will explain the theoretical knowledge components and provide a definition for some of the basic concepts related to management strategy, financial analysis, and performance indicators. The second section is an analysis and evaluation of the recent performance of HBH Projekt spol. s.r.o.. This second section will focus on both financial and non-financial measurements. The findings of these analyses serve as the basis for the third section, which is a proposal for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method for the company. In this section, the four perspectives are assigned to the strategic goals of the company, benchmarks are set, and strategic metrics are defined to help achieve the set goals of improving the company's performance.

The first, theoretical, deals with the definition of individual concepts and analyzes necessary for the processing of the business plan. In the second, practical, a specific business plan is developed, which is then analyzed.

Bachelor thesis "Work with children and youth in open centres" goes about issue in open centre for children and youth. It characterizes the work with disorganized youth in these centres. It defines the open centres in the context of social services and with it related legislation. The first part is devoted to define the basic ideas, for example the difficult life situations, the disorganized youth and the principle of low. In the second part I go about the general objectives, the mission, the target group and the services provided in these centres. The third part provide the insight into 20 open centres in the Czech Republic. Here I explore already the specific objectives, mission and also activities, attendance, achievements and failures in the centres.

Valuation Methods in Accounting

This bachelor thesis focuses on characteristics of selected assets and liabilities. It also describes the valuation methods provided by Czech accounting laws and regulations. The aim of the thesis is to analyse valuation methods of selected balance sheet items according to the Czech accounting legislation and to define their scope of activity on the economic result of the agricultural cooperative. The structure of the assets and liabilities of the cooperative is described by vertical and horizontal analysis. It is detected what specific valuation methods are used for some asset items of the selected accounting entity. Next, apps are applied to other valuation methods used in accounting. These are then compared to each other and their impact on the economic result is determined. The result is a proposal for changes in methods of valuation.

Impact of potassium on accumulation of Cs by Calla palustris

Environmental contamination with radionuclides is a growing problem in the world. Phytoremediation seems to be a suitable method for the removal of radionuclides from the environment. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of potassium on accumulation of stable isotope 133Cs and evaluate the suitability of plant species Calla palustris for phytoremediation. Plants were grown in a water solution in a greenhouse and after one week of pre-cultivation were exposed to stable isotope 133Cs (0,5 mM CsCl). Potassium was added in five various concentrations in the form of K2SO4. The level of cesium in plants was measured after 8 days of exposition. Plants without added potassium absorbed the most cesium (11,52 %). Plants with the highest concentration of added K2SO4 10 mM (3,45 %), 5 mM (3,62 %), 2 mM (5,57 %) absorbed the least. Higher 133Cs accumulation was measured in the plant roots than in the above- ground plant parts. Total uptake of cesium by Calla palustris suggests the possibility to use Calla palustris for phytoremediation.

Assessment of energy crop cultivation in terms of erosion

The aim of thesis is to assess and evaluate how energy crops affect erosion phenomena, then identify a suitable alternative crop that has anti-erosion ability. Location is evaluated in detail Trebon, as cultivation areas suitable for Phytoenergetics and biogas. Furthermore, I studied agricultural biogas plant that uses biomass as input for biogas production. To evaluate and calculate erosion parameters for a given locality the method of universal soil loss equation by Wishmeier and Smith, and the value showed crops causing erosion. The calculated values are related to locations all over the South Region. Thanks to the universal equation it is possible to find alternative crops, which cause erosion and both are suitable for biogas production.
