Dealing with homelessness in the capital city of Prague - is current social service system enough to satisfy homeless people?

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of people without a regular dwelling in terms of social service administration in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of a general description of homelessness and explanation of the current model of provided services. It also mentions non-governmental organizations providing social care for the homeless in Prague and describes the help from the state administration. The next part explores 2 conceptions focused on tackling homelessness and discusses how they are currently met. It was also necessary to mention foreign experience of solving this problem. Interdisciplinary cooperation is an important chapter because homeless care is not only based on the provision of outpatient services, such as food, hygiene, clothing, or on the provision of residential services. Cooperation with other actors such as physicians (psychiatrists, dentists, gynecologists) is also necessary for the services to be provided comprehensively and to be able to respond to all the needs of the homeless. This bacherol thesis is devided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The work is focused on public attitudes towards homeless people. The theoretical part deals with the definition of homeless and homelessness, causes of homelessness, its forms. The thesis also deals with homelessness in the Czech Republic, prevention of homelessness, social work with homeless and attitudes towards the homeless. The practical part includes research in the form of questionnaire. This questionnaire was given to students of helping professions. The results of this survey are also stated. The Employment opportunities for homeless people

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of integrating homeless people into the labor market. People living on the street lose working habits, social contacts and motivation to change their situation after a certain period of time.
 The main aim of the work is to map out the possibilities of integrating homeless people into the labor market and try to return to normal life. However, since their possible integration lies in many aspects, this work also examines the degree of motivation of the interviewed persons and the obstacles that prevent them from seeking employment. The first part of the thesis consists of the theoretical anchoring of the given issue, with an emphasis on the high degree of desocialization of homeless people and difficulties in the process of change. It also focuses on possible ways of helping and promoting job-seeking both from the state and non- governmental non-profit organizations. Bachelor thesis named Cooperation of Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children via social work in families going through divorce, is focusing on provided professional assistance in rough life situation, which divorce without a doubt is with intention to provide information and ease the negative effects of divorce, espesially if there are minors involved in the proces. Theoretical part is working with main topics like family, divorce and social work in cooperation with Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children, provided within divorce proceedings. Practical part will describe specific cases solved within divorce process via case, study, which prove activity of social workers with families.
Problems of homelessness in senior age

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of homelessness in the elderly. It is divided into theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part, I dealt mainly with old age, physical, mental and social changes in old age. I also focused on poverty in my bachelor's thesis. And then I introduced the reader to the issue of homelessness in general. The first part of the practical part contains semistructured interviews that describe the lives of respondents (seniors with experience of homelessness). Bachelor thesis "Use of Online Space Within Various Preventions in Low-Threshold Facilities for Children and Youth" is focused on a description of the facilities, where the social workers are using the network systems as one of the tools for their communication and to provide contact with their clients. Bachelor thesis is aimed at the description of the experiences of social workers of low- threshold facilities for children and youth with tools for specific prevention on the social networks. This work is divided into two main parts - the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part of this thesis is separated into five main chapters. The first chapter is focused on low-threshold facilities for children and youth, the definition of this concept, the description of the target group, the principle of low-threshold and the description of this facility. The second chapter is aimed at prevention and its definition. The third chapter describes specific prevention and a realization of various programmes. The fourth chapter is dealing with a description of social work on the internet, its principle and possibilities of how it is used by the low-threshold facilities. Causes and risk factors of homelessness of young women in the capital city of Prague

The bachelor thesis is dealing with the causes of women's homelessness and introduces risk factors which are connected with the role and life of homeless woman. The target group are young women aged from 18 to 26 years who live in Prague. The theoretical part at first introduces the issue of homelessness in general, it also describes the target group - its specifics, and in conclusion this part describes the tools of social work with homeless people. The data for the practical part of the work are gained by the method of questionnaire survey. The respondents are young homeless women. Based on the research carried out, the most common reasons for homelessness and its risk factors were mapped.
Use of humanitarian hostel in solving homelessness issue

In my bachelor's thesis I describe the project of the City of Prague, so called Humanitarian hostel. The project started in the summer of 2020 in connection to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The thesis explores homelessness and Humanitarian hostels, which are a novelty in our setting. Main focus of my bachelor's thesis was answering the question: How do Humanitarian hostel tenants rate their experience in comparison with asylum housing? Research is therefore focused on tenants with a previous experience with asylum housing. I conducted a structured interview with open ended questions with selected tenants covering topics: improvement of overall life situation, subjective rating of provided social services and quality of housing. Improvement of overall life situation is supported by my research. Furthermore, selected tenants rate provided social services positively (proactivity and individual help), as well as quality of housing (privacy and freedom) in humanitarian hostel in comparison to asylum housing. Results further support findings from abroad, where succesful endpoint is explained by principle: tenants first and clients second. The bachelor thesis is about the factors that affect the reintegration of homeless people into the majority society in the territory of the Prague capital. It consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is dedicated to the explanation of the key concepts, the influence of everyday life on reintegration, transformation of the human being who is living on the street, as well as which individual and structural factors we can encounter most often. The practical part focuses on the problems that affect reintegration which I found out through qualitative semi-structured interviews with homeless people in Prague. The objective of the thesis is to uncover significant negative factors that may affect reintegration and to verify them through qualitative research.
