Social aspects of ageing regarding homeless people in connection with systemic measures taken in the city of Prague

Homelessness is a socio-pathological phenomenon, caused by the inability of an individual to deal with crisis situations and leading to the lost of relationships but also the material environment. As a result of the above, the social exclusion of the individuals gradually becomes unchangeable. Here, Pěnkava (2013) describes the vertical decline within the social stratification, which brings a deep frustration and in a number of cases leads to resignation on the efforts to deal efficiently with the unfavorable situation. The causes of such collapse are multifactorial and hence, in order to solve them there is cooperation on the level of multidisciplinary teams needed. However, numerous issues are currently being solved by social workers only, who in many cases are forced to replace experts in fields such as law, psychology, pedagogy of leisure time, geriatry or medicine. The central theme of the dissertation is dealing with the possibilities and limitations of people without home in old age living in the Capital City of Prague. Considering the factors of age, the diversity in satisfying their needs and the associated risks involved, is this a specific group of people that is, moreover, at immediate risk to their lives and health. Analysis of Practical Implications of Changes in Family Law Introduced by §655 - §975 of the Civil Code.

(in English) This bachelor thesis deals with new legal regulations of Family Law listed in new Civil Code Act No. 89/2012Coll.in force from 1. 1. 2014 with it simplifications for the practice of Social and Legal Protection of Children departments. According to this new act the preceding Act No. 94/1963 Coll. concerning the Family, which has regulated Family Law, and Act No. 40/1964 Coll. on the Civil Code, are abolished. Hypothesis: This breakthrough change in our legislation influences Fundamentals of Family Law and current administrative a juridical practice. Aim: analyse new Family Law regulated by articles nos.655 to 975of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., compare the legislations with Act No. 94/1963 Coll., evaluate the expected impact on people concerned, as indicated by the abolishment of Act No. 94/1963 Coll., and identify the impact on proceeding and practice in departments of Social and Legal Protection of Children. Homelesses with regress to the social services

This thesis concerns repeated returns of homeless people to social services. The theoretical part focuses on the description and the problem areas of homeless people, cultural-historical development of homelessness in Czech lands - defines the term of social services and discusses the model of work with the target group in Poland. At the end of the theoretical part a Center for homeless people the Bohuslav Bures social services center (BBSSC) Salvation Army is presented, in this way methods of work with the target group are demonstrated, the way of keeping documentation is described and the analysis of the shelter home relevant to the theme of the work are publicized. The research carried out in the practical part looks for factors which have caused the return of the former users of social services. For the purposes of the work the phenomenon of returning is studied in persons, who in the period of 2007 - April 2012 used a shelter home in BBSSC in Salvation Army, left for commercial housing and after their departure they come back to BBSSC within one year as candidates for a social service. The aim of this thesis is to describe and investigate the problem of the target group - the homeless, particularly when such a person gets to the hospital and the role of social worker in this situation. Then, this work describe the overall health of homeless people in the Czech Republic. The base of the practical part, are interviews and questionnaires with the homeless and interviews with the expert in the field - social workers in the hospitals and probation officers. Dealing with homelessness in the capital city of Prague - is current social service system enough to satisfy homeless people?

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of people without a regular dwelling in terms of social service administration in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of a general description of homelessness and explanation of the current model of provided services. It also mentions non-governmental organizations providing social care for the homeless in Prague and describes the help from the state administration. The next part explores 2 conceptions focused on tackling homelessness and discusses how they are currently met. It was also necessary to mention foreign experience of solving this problem. Interdisciplinary cooperation is an important chapter because homeless care is not only based on the provision of outpatient services, such as food, hygiene, clothing, or on the provision of residential services. Cooperation with other actors such as physicians (psychiatrists, dentists, gynecologists) is also necessary for the services to be provided comprehensively and to be able to respond to all the needs of the homeless. This bacherol thesis is devided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The work is focused on public attitudes towards homeless people. The theoretical part deals with the definition of homeless and homelessness, causes of homelessness, its forms. The thesis also deals with homelessness in the Czech Republic, prevention of homelessness, social work with homeless and attitudes towards the homeless. The practical part includes research in the form of questionnaire. This questionnaire was given to students of helping professions. The results of this survey are also stated. The Employment opportunities for homeless people

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of integrating homeless people into the labor market. People living on the street lose working habits, social contacts and motivation to change their situation after a certain period of time.
 The main aim of the work is to map out the possibilities of integrating homeless people into the labor market and try to return to normal life. However, since their possible integration lies in many aspects, this work also examines the degree of motivation of the interviewed persons and the obstacles that prevent them from seeking employment. The first part of the thesis consists of the theoretical anchoring of the given issue, with an emphasis on the high degree of desocialization of homeless people and difficulties in the process of change. It also focuses on possible ways of helping and promoting job-seeking both from the state and non- governmental non-profit organizations. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter describing four non-state organizations focusing on the employment of homeless people.
