Rebuilding an airplane Z 142 with a LYCOMING power unit

The aim of this master´s thesis is to replace the current engine M 337AK of the aeroplane Zlin 142 for the engine of Lycoming type with an appropriate propeller. Another purpose of the study is the installation of a nose undercarriage of VUT 100 type. The first part of the thesis examines the alternatives of replacement engines. Here the individual engines are compared with regard to their flight characteristics (climbing etc.). The next part presents the calculation of new CG positions, flight envelopes and the load affecting the engine mount. Finally, the last part focuses on the constructional plan for the engine installation and the structural analysis.
Arrangement of wings on general aviation aircraft

This bachelors thesis deals with the possibilities of vertical arrangement of aircrafts bearing surfaces, as well as the effect of the choice of their arrangement on aerodynamic, flight and operational characteristics of aircrafts. The aim is to point out the differences between technical solutions, structural and operational requirements for different types of aircrafts with different conception of arrangement of bearing surfaces. The conclusion of this work is the knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of different concepts of aircrafts as well as examples of their use depending on the structural presentation.
Modification of RAPID 200 Aircraft for Towing

This master’s thesis deal with design modification of the RAPID 200 (Skyleader 200) airplane for towing at compliance with maximum take-off weight 450 kilogramme. A necessary construction modification, a weight analysis these adjustments and a balance verification are included. The thesis contains of power plants installation consisting from the M 132 engine and the V 541.2 propeller, a towing gear and a landing gear, a load calculation of power plants and towing gear and basic flight performance calculation too. Last but not least valuation of operation ekonomy, operation characteristics assesment and a using of the airplane for specialized duty are included.
Design of the two seater ultralight aircraft with consideration the price and simplicity of the construction

The object of the diploma thesis is a conceptual layout of two-seater metal ultralight aircraft which has simple construction and with respect to low price. The preamble of the work deals with concept, layout and technology of aircraft. As next part are solved an aerodynamic characteristics, a determinative of centre of gravity position and a performance. Last of all is strength of wing.
Reconstruction of middle part of the fuselage Z 143 aircraft using semi- monocoque frame

The thesis is focused on reconstruction of middle part of fuselage Z 143 aircraft from truss frame to semi-monocoque frame. In the thesis there is a conceptual design of semi-monocoque middle part of fuselage. The spars of centre wing section are strength controlled. In thesis there is weight analysis according to use the semi-monocoque middle part of fuselage. In second half of the thesis there is a study of retractable landing gear. The thesis shows weight savings according to use a semi-monocoque frame. The thesis also shows that semi-monocoque frame allows other option to upgrade Z 143 aircraft. This thesis can serve as a feasibility study of the reconstruction of the middle part of the fuselage Z 143 aircraft.
Design of amphibian aircraft based on VUT 001 Marabu

My master´s thesis deals with the design of amphibian hull for VUT 001 Marabu aircraft. Part of this work is aerodynamic and hydrodynamics design of hull including flight mechanics with, take of and landing on the water. The last point of work is load calculation of float and landing gear and design of landing gear retraction mechanics.
Desig of VUT 200 aircraft with two TP 100 turboprop engine

The goal of the submitted Diploma Thesis is to select power units for VUT 200, twin-engine variant of aircraft VUT 100. The Diploma Thesis consists of analysis of power units, mass analysis, design of the structural changes of default aircraft, aerodynamic characteristics, performance and flight characteristics.
Airplane Cooling System Optimization

Dissertation thesis is focused on the aircraft cooling system optimization. The knowledge of the pressure loss is necessity for design of an optimal system. In the beginning of the thesis, the different designs of piston engine cooling systems are described for both aircrafts and automobiles. Other sections outline the determination of the coolers characteristics and describe the different test sections applicable for the characteristics measurement. The test section built at the Institute of the aerospace engineering is described as well. Practical part of the thesis describes the calibration of the test section. The measurements of the specific coolers were compared with the CFD simulation of two models - the simplified cooler model and cooler element model. Additionally, the measurements were compared with results obtained at specialized coolers testing facility.
Design of VUT 081 Kondor aeroplane in double-fuselage variant

The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine loads of the empennages and the engine mount for the engine ROTAX 912iS of the VUT 081 Kondor aircraft. Further the thesis deals with a design of a stabilizer and of beams of empennage with fins. I also present a design of mountings for beams to the center wing box. The design is presented with regard to CS-VLA regulations and the ELSA regulation for modular construction.
Design of Aircraft in Accordance with FAR 103 Regulation

This diploma work considers conceptual design of aircraft in accordance in FAR 103 regulation. On the base of statistical dates has been made basic geometrical and aero-dynamical concept of a single occupant aircraft. For conception have been chosen optimal driving force and bases calculations of the load pressure and dimensions are included.
