Evaluation of postural changes due to sedentary employment in BUT students using the DIERS 4D Formetic device.
Opálková, Martina ; Adamík, Richard (referee) ; Bedáňová, Kamila (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of postural changes due to sedentary activity with VUT students using the DIERS 4D Formetric device, monitoring changes in the angles and distances of individual parts of the spine using an optical scanning method. The measurement itself is performed while standing and also sitting (Brugger sitting technique). This static diagnosis is used to determine changes after sedentary activity of at least six hours during the day.

Possibilities of objective diagnosis of flat foot
Palouš, Vojtěch ; Opálková, Michaela (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
The subject of this work is the flat foot - pes planus. Foot mechanical functions are described including features demonstrating flatfoot pathology. I summarize knowledge in embryology, anatomy and biomechanics, and focus on possibilities to evaluate functions of the foot with both classical and modern methods. The goal of this work is survey of diagnostic methods, mainly current procedures of objective evaluation and determination of the precize kind of the foottype pathology. I also include my original measurements on a patient and I compare the conclusions based on individual methods.

Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 2018, 124 p. Supervisor Mgr. Michaela Opálková. Abstract The thesis deals with the reaction of body to postural loading during stance and walking. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on postural control and postural reaction during stance and walking. Particular attention is paid to gait cycle, dynamic plantography and Zebris FDM-T Rehawalk system, which has been used in the practical part of this thesis. Two chapter deal with postural loading, the first is focused on symmetrical loading (e.g. backpack) and second on asymmetrical loading (laptop back - ipsilateral, contralateral and held in hand). The practical part presents the examination of 32 volunteers who were either standing or walking on a dynamic plantograph. The volunteers were exposed to either symmetrical or asymemtrical 5 or 10 kg load. Subsequently, statistical tests were used to search for any change of dynamic plantography parameters depending on the level of loading, on the type of loading and in the comparison of the situation with and without loading. The results...
Subjective perception of during predominantly concentric and predominantly eccentric excercise
Opálková, Michaela ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
This thesis pursues the function of human skeletal muscle. It describes the sarcomere and current theories of the muscle contraction. In addition to conventional sliding sarcomere theory the new large - scale model is included. It is called rotational theory and it works on the basis of rotating helical molecules which are functionally coupled. Muscle reaction to stretching in dependence on the stretch length and velocity are folded in. The chapter Neural Commands is not comprehensive. Its purpose is to review the differences between neural control of concentric and eccentric contraction, respectively. Following parts summarize the integration of eccentric contraction into human movement, instantaneous reactions and adaptation processes. The last theoretical part deals with subjective perception of stress during predominantly concentric and predominantly eccentric exercise. The applied part consists of the outcomes of measurement of peak and averaged heart rate before and after bouts of running with predominantly concentric (uphill running) and predominantly eccentric (downhill running) exercise. Subjective rate of physical and psychical condition were registered at identical situation using visual analogue scale. Twelve high school students were measured. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

TITLE: Verbal communication competences of Roma pupils as a condition for their school success AUTHOR: Mgr. Marie Opálková SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Helena Hejlová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The subject of this dissertation is the school success of Roma pupils at the beginning of primary education and the obstacles that Roma pupils encounter in this period. The aim of the dissertation is to find out how the verbal-communicative competences of Roma pupils are influenced by the communicative language in the family and what influence it has on the pupil's school success. This main objective has been operationalised into individual partial objectives, which correspond in their nature to the linguistic levels of communicative competence and define a specific dimension of the investigation. A qualitative case study approach characterized by a combination of different information gathering techniques was used to process data from Roma pupils. It was mainly observation, interviews and document analysis - namely of the results of the Battery of Tests to determine the status of the linguistic levels of Czech among Roma pupils in the first grade. It is a non-standardized instrument that was created for the purpose of this dissertation. The work is useful mainly in the overall picture of the conditions of the formation of the language...
Changes in stand and walking parameters in patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
Lukešová, Kateřina ; Opálková, Michaela (advisor) ; Demeková, Júlia (referee)
This thesis is devoted to changes in selected gait and stance parameters in patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. In the introduction of this work, anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint are described. Then the thesis deals with the anterior cruciate ligament injury issues, treatment options and associated risks. Last but not least, the possible influence of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction on sensorimotor and neuromuscular control of human movement and posture is discussed. In the second, experimental part of the work, the objectives of the work and hypotheses are set, then the measurement methodology and results are described. At the end of the work is a discussion, in which the results of this research are compared with current studies. The measurements took place at the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the Motol University Hospital using the Zebris FDM-T System. A total of 36 probands took part in the measurement, 18 of them underwent anterior cruciate ligament plastic surgery on one lower limb and another 18 represented a control group without any injury or surgery on the lower limbs. The results did not show any statistically significant differences in selected parameters of standing and walking between the experimental and control groups,...
Quality of sensorimotor control on lower limbs in relation to lateral preference in young athletes (soccer players).
Martínek, Josef ; Opálková, Michaela (advisor) ; Janečková, Alexandra (referee)
Objectives: Our thesis is focused on correlation of lateral (side) preferencies of lower limbs and quality of sensorimotor control. Our aim is to figure out whether there is difference in laterality of sensorimotor control of lower limbs and if so, whether there is correlation with side preferency. Methods: Study is made on 18 volunteers. We tested somatosenzoric system, specifically two-point discrimination, graphesthesia, pallesthesia, statesthesia, kinesthesia. We used a questionnare to determine side preferency of lower limbs. We used paired sample t- tests, with level of importance p=0,05. Results: According to t-tests, there are no differencies in sensorimotor control in lower limbs. According to those results, it is not possible to determine the difference in sensorimotor control due to lower limb preferency. Summary: There is no difference in sides in sensorimotor control of lower limbs.

Femuroacetabular impingement syndrome - possibilities of therapy and rehabilitation in adolescents and young adults
Tůma, Martin ; Opálková, Michaela (advisor) ; Obešlo, Marek (referee)
Femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAI) is a clinical diagnosis that is characterized as a mechanical conflict between the edge of acetabulum and the pericapital part of femoral neck. It is increasingly accepted as an etiological factor in the development of hip arthritis, occurring in young and sport-active individuals. The thesis is divided into two basic parts. The first is theoretical and introduces the reader on the basic of research study of Czech and foreign literature, first with the syndrome itself, its types, aetiology and possibilities of diagnostics. It also summarizes the current possibilities of therapy and rehabilitation in adolescents and younger adults. The second part is practical and is processed in the form of a case report of a patient undergoing conservative treatment. The work is accompanied by photographic documentation.
