Design optimization of magnetic drive with permanent magents.

This paper presents finite elements method (FEM) model of magnetic coupling for design optimization of inner part of magnetic coupling in order to increase the maximal torque. The genetic algorithm method in connection with FEM model of magnetic coupling was used for design optimization procedure.

The paper is concerned with computational simulation of stator winding heating of synchronous machine. Software ANSYS 6.1 was used for computational modeling. Computational model consider heat pipe in the middle of winding slot. The results of computer simulation show effect of heat pipe on winding cooling. Other results show effect of heat pipe position and size of cooling surface on winding heating.
Výpočtové a experimentální modelování ventilátoru synchronního generátoru

The paper is concerned with computational simulation of air flow in the individual parts of a synchronous machine. Software FLUENT 6 was used for computational modeling. CFD model of machine fan was built, which was used for calculation of ventilation characteristics. Ventilation characteristics were calculated for three ventilator diameters. The aim was to find operating point for each fan. The results of computer simulation are compared with the measurement, which was accomplished on the synchronous generator using pitot tube and digital micro manometer.
Use of comlex dynamic models in design and control of walking robots

The paper describes the design of complex dynamic model of quadrupedwalking mobil robot. Method of building of thenumerical computational model and its simulating is shown. Complex model consist ofsubmodels of robotic mechanism, DC motor, gearbox model and thermal model ofelectrical motor. In the paper is also discussed application of computational model directly for control ofrobot and also as a data generator for global and local approximation method,mainly artificial neural networks. Control algorithm is also considered in model.
