Charakteristika a detekce bakterií Xanthomonas campestris a jejich využití v potravinářství
Olahová, Karolína
This bachelor thesis is concerned with characteristic of fytopathogenic bacterial species Xanthomonas campestris and its usage. This species can be divided into many pathovars that causes serious bacterial diseases. The most common disease is bacterial leaf spot. Agricultural production is more influenced by black rot of cruciferous plants. Due to this diseases, it is important to deal with detection and plant protection against these pathogenes. Sophisticated methodes of molecular detection allows fast and precise determination not only of bacterial species, but also its pathovars. The most frequent method is PCR or methods that are based on PCR. Bacteria Xanthomonas campestris has also a positive impact because of the production of exopolysacharide xanthan. This substance is offten used in many industry sectors due to its characteristics.
The utilization of the surface tension measurement for the evaluation of critical micelle concentration of cationic surfactants
Oláhová, Kristýna ; Vraníková, Barbora (advisor) ; Šklubalová, Zdeňka (referee)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of: Pharmaceutical Technology Consultant: PharmDr. Barbora Vraníková, Ph.D. Student: Oláhová Kristýna Title of Thesis: The utilization of the surface tension measurement for the evaluation of critical micelle concentration of cationic surfactants The theoretical part of this diploma thesis gives an overview of surfactants properties and their classification based on the ability to dissociate and value of hydrophilic-lipophilic balance. This thesis also describes methods used to determinate critical micelle concentration such as surface tension or molar conductivity measurements, and factors that can affect it. The experimental part deals with the evaluation of the critical micelle concentration of the new synthesized cationic surfactant (ILA-3) that has a potential use as a chiral selector in capillary electrophoresis. The surface tension measurement by du Noüy ring metod was used to determinate critical micelle concentration. The value of this concentration was measured in ultrapure water and acetate buffer of pH 5.5. The obtained values of critical micelle concentration of ILA-3 were established to 118.37 mg/l (0.32 mM) and 12.73 mg/l (0.04 mM) for ultrapure water and acetate buffer, respectively. For comparison, the critical...
Diplomatic Immunities vs Human Rights
Olahová, Kateřina ; Trávníčková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Sladký, Pavel (referee)
This thesis aims at description and analyses of the position of diplomatic immunities and human rights in international law, focusing on areas where these two sets of international rules clash. One objective of this work is an attempt to establish a hierarchy between norms granting diplomatic immunities and those protecting fundamental human rights, which could possibly resolve the collision. This solution, however, narrows down to one of most general principles of diplomatic relations, the principal of reciprocity. Mentioned are also some alternative approaches suggested for resolution of this conflict together with the obstacles, which prevent them from use. The thesis further looks at possible remedies against abuse of diplomatic immunity.
