Assessment of Selected Indicators of a Company Using Statistical Methods

Master’s thesis is aimed at assessing the selected financial indicators of the company using statistical methods. Based on the results, the current situation of the company is evaluated. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part contains the necessary theoretical bases for processing the analytical part. The second part is devoted to the analysis of selected indicators, which are then applied statistical methods to the prediction of the future development of these indicators and findings, here between these indicators there is a dependence. At the end of this part, there is an evaluation of the analyzed indicators. The third part presents appropriate proposals for solutions to existing problems caused by indicators that deviate from the recommended values.

This thesis is focused on the analysis of economic indicators using statistical methods of regression analysis and time series analysis of software company AIS Software, a. s. The theoretical part is devoted to explanation of selected economic indicators, and the theoretical description of the time series and regression analysis. The practical part deals with the analysis of selected economic indicators of the company based on its financial statements. The thesis is concluded with the prognosis of the future development using statistical indicators.

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of economic indicators of Technos a.s., using statistical methods and the evaluation of the current financial situation. The work contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes selected economic indicators, regression analysis, time series and correlation analysis. In the practical part, the analysis of selected economic indicators will be carried out and then statistical methods will be used to determine the prediction for the next year and to reveal the dependence between the individual indicators. The last part of the thesis deals with proposals that will improve the financial situation of the company.

This bachelor’s thesis aims to create a financial plan for the company Smartgym s.r.o. through the usage of chsoen indicators. All of this is going to be contained in an excel application, which will be available for continual usage in upcoming years for the company, not only for repeated calculations of economic indicators, but also statistic indicators, which are going to serve as basis for strategic decision making in investment field.

This thesis inquires into history of selected investment tools and provides technical analysis of them. As the source of information, real official results of given tools are used. The goal is to analyze the data of past years in order to compare the tools using magic triangle. The thesis consists of several parts. It starts with theoretical part that describes the reasons for this questioning, as well as the methods that are used in the rest of the thesis. Then there is the practical part, where real results are processed and compared and some conclusions are made of them. The final part of the thesis is a script in Visual Basic that acts as a utility for investors. Based on his preferences and expectations, it can propose the fittest investment.

In the third part is completely analyzed situation and processed proposals for its improvement.

Phillips Curve in Conditions of the Czech Republic

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the Phillips curve in conditions of the Czech economics. Validity of the substitution relationship between the rate of inflation and the unemployment rate is testing by regression analysis on real data of the Czech Republic during years 1996–2016. In order to better explain variability of the dependent variable, the model is expanded by inflation expectations, which corresponds to the development of the economic theory of the Phillips curve. After that the Phillips curve for the Czech Republic is constructed in Maple using the systems of differential equations.
