NOVOTNÁ, Lucie
This diploma thesis captures the development and changes of the primary school in the village of Sepekov in the period 1948-1989, when Czechoslovak education was under the influence of communist ideology. It describes changes in the school system of a national character and their specific impact on the functioning of the local school. The first chapter briefly deals with education until 1948. Typology of characters in Exemplary Novels
Novotná, Lucie Elena ; Sánchez Fernández, Juan Antonio (advisor) ; Poláková, Dora (referee)
This thesis will discuss the characters in Exemplary Novels from Miguel Cervantes. The aim is to form a typology of the characters using a thorough analysis that focuses on the most essential characteristics of the characters and highlights their qualities and origins. Based on this analysis, the characters will be divided into groups with the same traits, thus forming a coherent overview. Thanks to this typology, the creative dynamics of the author can be understood better. Advertising on Instagram profiles of Czech influencers from Generation Z
Novotná, Lucie ; Hejlová, Denisa (advisor) ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (referee)
Reklama na instagramových profilech českých influencerů generace Z Bakalářská práce Autor práce: Lucie Novotná Abstrakt anglicky Abstract This bachelor thesis focuses on advertising on Instagram profiles of the ten most followed Czech influencers from Generation Z. The theoretical part of the thesis defines terms such as Instagram, influencers, Generation Z and explains the general principles of influencer marketing, the functioning of advertising on Instagram and the forms of partnerships between brands and influencers. The practical part of the thesis then focuses on the ten specific influencers and looks in detail at their collaborations with brands. By analysing data from the Instagram profiles of these influencers from the year 2020, all their posts containing advertising are examined. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map the area of advertising on the Instagram profiles of the most followed Czech influencers from Generation Z and to describe the approach these influencers have to advertising - what is the form of the advertisements on their profiles, what product or service they promote and whether it is a one-off or long-term collaboration with given brands. And most importantly, the thesis examines whether the most followed influencers label their advertising and, if so, the ways of how they...
House arrest and its execution
Novotná, Lucie ; Hulmáková, Jana (advisor) ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of legal regulation of house arrest, especially its execution. The aim of the research of my bachelor thesis is to find out how important the institute of preliminary investigation is in the imposition of a house arrest sentence. Specifically, it is focused on the possibilities of using house arrest and electronic monitoring, conditions of sentencing, execution of a sentence and its associated regulation, postponement, interruption, change and waiver, on various forms of house arrest control and current problems in practice. These are the problems and disadvantages associated with the application of house arrest and an electronic monitoring system. I'am also describing the advantages of using a house arrest sentence and an electronic monitoring system. All this is evaluated from the perspective of the probation officer, in the context of legislation, methodological standards of the Probation and Mediation Service, criminological research findings and important international documents in this area.
Role of microorganisms in the evolution of reproductive strategies in birds
Novotná, Lucie ; Javůrková, Veronika (advisor) ; Ferenc, Michal (referee)
Microorganisms are ubiquitous and can be found on the body of birds, in avian nests or may be carried into the nest along with nest-lining material. Microorganisms may therefore colonize eggshells of eggs in a clutch and subsequently penetrate into the egg contents. This so called trans-shell infection has been observed to affect hatching success, cause embryo mortality or subsequently influence hatchlings phenotype. Nevertheless, the probability of eggshell bacterial load or trans-shell infection depends on many factors, including environmental conditions, nest type, incubation pattern, and nest-lining material. Furthermore, some modifications of avian reproductive strategies may lead to reduction of negative effect of trans-shell infections, and significantly improve reproductive success. These mechanisms include incubation, mechanical and chemical barriers of egg, eggshell pigments or using of feathers and specific plants as nest lining material. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the different reproductive strategies in birds should be a result of strong selective pressure caused by microorganisms. Although many recent studies have supported this assumption, research on this issue still suffers from many methodological shortcomings that must be eliminated in future studies.
Temperature-dependent activity of egg-white antimicrobial proteins in precocial and altricial birds
Novotná, Lucie ; Javůrková, Veronika (advisor) ; Krist, Miloš (referee)
Microorganisms are considered to be crucial selective factor affecting reproductive success of birds. It is hypothesized that egg-white antimicrobial proteins and incubation behavior are the most important defense mechanisms that eliminates the risk of microbial trans-shell infection. The latest studies supposed that incubation temperatures may significantly affect the antimicrobial activity of egg white proteins. The concentration of egg white antimicrobial proteins as well as incubation patterns differ among altricial and precocial species of birds. However, experimental study testing the effect of incubation temperature on the antimicrobial potential of antimicrobial egg white proteins in altricial and precocial birds is missing. In this study we tested in manipulative experiment the effect of partial and full incubation, the concentration of lysozyme and ovotransferrin and their interactions on the antimicrobial activity of egg whites of two model species - Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) and home pigeon (Columba livia). Antimicrobial protein activity was determined by the agar well diffusion method against two Gram-positive bacteria - Bacillus subtilis and Micrococcus luteus that have been documented as pathogenic egg-white invaders of several birds. Moreover, we analyzed the effect of...
Using of coaching in social work.
Novotná, Lucie ; Vojtíšek, Petr (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
(anglicky): The bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of coaching and its possibilities for using in social work. All the work is focused only on the micro level of social work, so it is working with methods of working with the individual. The thesis consists of a theoretical part, which mainly defines concepts directly related to the topic. Then their similarity is compared in accordance with chapters before. The second part - the practical part - was go through with interviews with the coaching respondents, the social work respondents and the respondents, both of whom meet these themes. Respondents were asked questions in the wording that corresponds to their work, that questions for respondents in the field of coaches had a modified wording, so they would ask about the essence of working with the client in coaching. Similarly, for the respondents in the field of social work the wording of the questions was adapted. Based on the evaluation of these interviews, not only the similarity of the two areas was confirmed but also the conditions under which coaching in social work could be used. Klíčová slova (anglicky): social work, case work, coaching, social worker, coach, client
Framing of New Psychoactive substances in British Drug Policy Discourse
Novotná, Lucie ; Nekola, Martin (advisor) ; Morávek, Jan (referee)
This thesis, New Psychoactive Substances in British Drug Policy Discourse addresses new psychoactive substances (NPS) in drug policy discourse in Great Britain between 2000-2014. It focuses on the identification of individual frames and aims to understand the different perspectives NPS can be framed in The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on the idea of social constructivism and Frame Theory. On this basis, the thesis identifies individual sponsors, the general characteristics of the problem, the injured party, the public policy implications and the value base. It identifies four frames which are present in the discourse. The first, called Fragmented, does not perceive NPS as a comprehensive problem, but as individually occurring substances. The second frame the Prohibitionist wishes to tackle the issue of NPS using new tools of prohibition. The third one, the Regulatory frame is strongly polarized towards the previous frame and wants to solve the NPS issue by creating a legally regulated market for psychoactive substances. The last, Wicked frame, perceives NPS as an unstructured problem, therefore it cannot be solved by one measure. This frame favors an expert debate and evidence in order to find the optimal solution. The thesis puts the issue into context and focuses on NPS...
