My master thesis treats of problems of quality of life of people, whose sight has been broken, and they have been gradually lossing it during their life. Theoretical part is focused on the quality of life, sight sense for man, sight patho-physiology, reaction to lossing sight, sight therapy possibilities and social support for people with sight problems. Research part evaluates informants' statements in a horizontal and vertical way. These statements were gained in three rounds interviews after three months parts. Research part follows the process of taking care of informants with gradual lossing sight.

Autor: Jana Novotná Supervisor: PharmDr. Josef Malý, Ph.D. Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University in Prague Introduction: Generic substitution and generic drugs are important instruments of drug policy in many countries, which allow to reduce price of medicines, while maintaining their quality. Experience shows that a prerequisite for the rational use of both instruments is sufficient awareness among both health professionals and patients. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the opinions, knowledge and experience of patients regarding generic drugs and generic substitution. Methods: Data were collected between 1 March 2015 and 31 March 2015 in a workplace practitioner in Prague. It was an observational survey. We contacted all patients who visited a doctor during that period. Patients had to agree to their inclusion in the investigation and also meet "inclusion criteria" (e.g., at least 18 years old, literate in Czech, long-term use at least one medicine). The Impact of the 9/11 Terrorist Attack on the Evolution of EU's Security Policies

The thesis deals with the impact of the 11 September 2001 terrorist attack on the evolution of EU's security policies. The thesis's aim is to investigate whether this event led to tightening of security measures in the European Union as well as to reviewing the existing security policy under the influence of the United States of America. The first section deals with the development of European security institutions before terrorist attack 9/11 and after, with the aim to ellucidate changes at the level of institutions. The second section analyzes individual security policy areas, such as EU's immigration policy, transnational police cooperation and the protection of EU citizens's personal data.

PharmDr. Josef Malý, Ph.D. Department of Social and Clinical Pharamcy Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University Introduction and aims: Over the last few years, anticancer immunotherapy has increasingly become an important agent in treatment of oncologic patients. The aim of this thesis was to assess the clinical parameters and to find any biological markers that would predict efficacy of pembrolizumab and nivolumab. Methods: The research was based on retrospective data analysis of patients treated with pembrolizumab or nivolumab during 2015-⁠2020 at Oncology Clinic of General Uviersity Hospital in Prague. The patients were divided into responder or non-responder groups based on their treatment response. Subsequently the analysis of clinical parameters, adverse events, panel gene sequencing of tumor DNA and RNA was performed. Finally, the obtained data were tested to find any correlations between biological markers and the treatment outcomes by the descriptive statistic method. Communication cards for neonatal departments

The bachelor thesis deals with the production of educational material for neonatal wards in order to improve communication between medical staff and the individual who takes care of a newborn. The cards are described in four different languages to be useful not only for Czech-speaking residents of Czech Republic. The thesis uses qualitative methodology. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters that explain the concept of communication, discuss pictograms as a form of communication and multicultural nursing. It continues with basic care of the physiological newborn, while in the last chapter we deal with concepts from neonatology, such as Bonding and the rooming-in system.
