Electromyographic analyis of mutual relation between standing and movement pattern in shoulder girdle.
Konečná, Gabriela ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title: Electromyographic analysis of mutual relation between standing and movement pattern in shoulder girdle Objectives: This thesis examines the electric activity and recruitment (timing) of m. latissimus dorsi, m. obliquus externus abdominis, m. gluteus maximus, m. tensor fasciae latae, m. tibialis anterior, m. erector spinae and m. trapezius during shoulder girdle movement standing on both feet, ipsilateral or contralateral foot. Furthermore the thesis explores whether it is possible to objectify the existence of published tendomuscular chains or the whole hypothetic Latissimus dorsi muscle chain of Spiral stabilization concept using surface electromyography. Methods: The muscles mentioned above were measured bilaterally with surface electromyography electrodes during particular movements. Twelve healthy individuals participated, seven women and five men in the age of 23 - 30. All participants were instructed to do the specific movement from Spiral Stabilization concept against the 2kg resistence of elastic rope when standing on both feet or in one leg stand on contralateral or ipsilateral leg. Results: We can identify muscles that are active in the particular movements almost within all participants, that are activated less often and those that are involved rarely. But we are not able to...

Junová, Hana ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the most frequent injuries of marathon runners Objectives: The main objective of this research is to evaluate the most common injuries in marathon runners. The research is focused on amateur long-distance runners of both sexes from 23 years of age. Another goal is to analyze the possible causes and factors that influence injuries. Methods: In the diploma thesis, the method of literary research and the method of questioning is used. Theoretical knowledge is drawn from both domestic and foreign literature. Data for analytical evaluation are obtained using a non-standardized questionnaire filled in running races - Libouchecky ultramaraton and Jirkovsky crossmaraton. Total of 156 questionnaires were obtained, 122, of which 61 % were included for analytical evaluation. The IBM SPSS analytics program and Microsoft Excel 2016 is used for data analysis. Results: Study showed that 61 out of the total 122 runners were injured, which is 50 % of respondents. Of these were 23 women and 38 men. Research confirmed two hypotheses out of five. The statistically significant relationship between the cause of the injury and the sex has been confirmed. It has also been confirmed that the distance runners of both sexes and age categories are most susceptible to knee injury injuries. The most common...

An atypical alignment of the acromioclavicular joint of ice hockey players and searching for possible causes
Bartošová, Veronika ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
The title of the master thesis: An Atypical alignment of acromioclavicular joint in ice hockey players and the search of possible causes Abstract in English languge: The goal of this thesis is to find out whether atypical acromioclavicular placement of a joint occurs bilaterally in a statistically significant measure with ice hockey players in comparison to a group of individuals who do not play ice hockey professionally and clarify the causes involved in the origin of this placement. Theoretical findings proceed from the anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and biomechanics of the shoulder string, which enables us to understand the matters of this segment and suggest possible pathological changes influenced by a stereotyped and sportive pressure. Part of the theoretical base are also specific pathologies, which form due to burdening the body segments and occur with ice hockey players. An experimental group of active ice hockey players (n1 = 100) in the ages of 13-33 without previous injuries in the area of the clavicle (fracture, luxation) and probands took part in the measurements as well as a group of non-ice hockey players, who had never played hockey professionally (n2 = 100) in the same age group. The measurements were done using the photogrammetric method with the application of a systematic...

Title: Case study of physical therapy treatment of a patient after a combined pancreas and kidney transplantation Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to elaborate on case studies of the patient after a combined pancreas and kidney transplant from the perspective of a physical therapist. The case report is supplemented by theoretical information on transplantation and the patient's disease, which is diabetes mellitus. Methods: The thesis is divided into a general and a practical part. Based on the scientific literature, the general section summarizes basic knowledge about diabetes mellitus, simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation, and a subsequent physical therapy treatment. The practical part of the thesis describes the process of rehabilitation that the patient underwent during my continuous professional practice at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine from January 22 to February 16, 2018. Results: During therapy sessions, the patient's overall physical condition and independence were rehabilitated, which were the main goals of the treatment plan. Furthermore, an elimination of reflex changes in soft tissue was achieved, especially in the abdominal area. Keywords: diabetes mellitus, transplantation, pancreas, kidney, physical therapy
