Nováková, Zuzana ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Suchel, Jakub (referee)
Master's thesis entitled "Mission in the Life of Organization" explores the phenomenon of mission. The work is closely focused on the area related to non-profit organizations that provide social services for the target group of seniors. In the theoretical part is mission defined by recognized standards of quality of social services and from the perspective of literature. Furthermore I view it in the context of the needs and size of the target group and social demand backing group organization. Subsequent chapters are devoted to the topic of mission in context of strategic planning, fundraising, public relations and ultimately organization culture. In the empirical part I present the implementation of qualitative research. The research was conducted using a case study approach in two registered organizations providing social services to seniors. The aim was to answer the research question: How do perceive the mission of organization its employees? Research was conducted through semi- structured interviews methods. The result is the following statement, which is valid for both cases: All employees are able to interpret the mission of their organization through their own values and experiences. Whether the employee's mission is shared or not shared, or employees consider it to be part of a formal, is...

Is the international regulation of so-called internally displaced persons sufficient?
Nováková, Zuzana ; Bílková, Veronika (advisor) ; Honusková, Věra (referee)
93 Resumé "Is the International Legal Framework of Protection of Internally Displaced Persons Sufficient?" At presence, there are millions of people worldwide who left their homes - in particular we can mention refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). In general we may say that refugees and IDPs are the same. They have similar needs and similar reasons why they left the place they used to live and why they need to be protected by law. However, legally they are recognized as two different categories of persons. IDPs were forced to flee their homes but, unlike refugees, remain within their country's borders. The definition of IDPs is provided in the document entitled Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement and covers "persons who have been forced to flee or to leave their homes as a result of or in order to avoid the effects of armed conflict, situations of generalized violence, violations of human rights or natural or human-made disasters." The aim of this study is to analyze current international legal framework of IDPs protection and assistance. Is the legal basis sufficient or does it contain any gaps? Does it protect all the special needs IDPs have, both during flight and while in displacement? This thesis is composed of five chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of internal...
Comparison of the evolution and the application of the portuguese and the spanish subjunctive
Nováková, Zuzana ; Jindrová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Hricsina, Jan (referee)
The present study tries to point out the most important differences between the Portuguese and the Spanish subjunctive mood. The purpose was not a statistical list of the distribution of particular expressions as the extent of the study does not permit it. Therefore, we also had to leave out some topics such as for example the sequence of tenses or temporal issues. This one is mentioned only marginally. Nevertheless, there are no substantial differences between the two languages in this respect. Altough it might be relatively difficult to separate temporal and modal aspect, we mainly focused on the modal alternation. We can consider three possible meanings of the subjunctive mood in both languages. The first one has its own modal value and is in the opposition with the indicative mood. This happens mainly in the subordinate adjectival clauses, after some expressions in noun clauses and after some prepositional expressions in circumstantial clauses. In the second case, the subjunctive mood depends on another modal expression and only repeats redundantly the modal value of the head element. This happens especially in main clauses, in noun clauses and in curcumstantial clauses. The last case represents the subjunctive form having assertive value, while losing its functional value. It comprises only the formal...

The Fairy-Tale Novels of Michael Ende and their Reception in Czech and German Environments

Transcutaneous electrogastrography
Davidová, Lenka ; Závodná, Eva (referee) ; Nováková, Zuzana (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the physiology and pathophysiology of the gastrointestinal tract, with functional parameters and appropriate diagnostics. The thesis also deals with transcutaneous electrogastrography devices and presents a suggestion of a measurement protocol which would involve a group of volunteers in fasting and postprandial states. The theoretical part describes the function of the gastrointestinal tract, detailing the analysis of gastric myoelectric activity and gastric motility. It also outlines technical and formal aspects of the parameters, artefacts and subsequent data analysis. In the practical part, a program is designed and implemented in the Matlab computing environment for the analysis of EGG recordings. Furthermore, differences between parameters in fasting and postprandial states are evaluated.
The measurement of cardiovascular parameters
Žáková, Monika ; Kratochvíla, Jiří (referee) ; Nováková, Zuzana (advisor)
This paper summarizes the problems of physiology of the cardiovascular system, with a focus on cardiovascular measurements during physical activity. It describes the diagnostic tools Cardiovit AT-104 (Schiller, Switzerland) and PowerCube (Ganshorn, Germany), used to spiro-ergometry measurements. It provides options to export data and work with them. It proposed protocol for the measurement of a small group of volunteers, by which we measure basic diagnostic parameters before, during and after physical activity. The MATLAB application is created, allowing clear analysis of measurement records. The final part contains a statistical assessment affected by physical activity on the measured parameters and a comparison of results with the available literature.
