Baqhoum, Salem ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Effect of Ankle and Foot joints mobilization on Stability improvement, analyzed by Computerized Dynamic Posturography. The aim of the study was to observe if joint mobilization of ankle and foot joints would improve the stability using the by Computerized Dynamic Posturography (neurocom) as a measurement tool. The methods that are used from the research are based on the knowledge which was obtained during the study of physiotherapy program at FTVS UK. All the participants are between the ages of 20 to 30 years, with no specific diagnose. All the 40 participants were being randomly divide into 2 groups. The control group and the experimental group, each group will have their Stability tested twice on the CPD (NeuroCom). The control group will be measured first, and after 20 minutes they will be measured again without any examination or therapeutic intervention. The experimental group was measured twice, first before the examination of joint play and the therapy, then the examination of joint play was done and any restricted joints were noted and treated, later, the participants were measured again for possible improvement. Joint play examination and therapy take about 20 minutes. Stability analyses take about 20 minutes too. The project doesn't include subjects with severe lower extremity injuries (eg,...

Mukhtar, Mahera ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Effectiveness of Proprioception Training for Improving Balance Analyzed by Computerized Dynamic Posturography The Master thesis, based on conduction of an experimental study. The aim of this experimental study was to find out how one-time proprioceptive training can help in improving the balance. The method used for analyzing the balance was done on Neurocom as it is considered a validated technique for testing balance. Then proprioceptive training was performed for the static and dynamic stability effect. For instance, both side legs were trained and focused on the "short foot"/ "three point standing" by Janda, followed by static single leg standing with eyes open and then closed; secondly Dynamic standing by adding arm or leg movement while maintain the posural stability progressively. All based on the knowledge acquired during the Master Degree Physiotherapy program at FTVS UK. The participant's characteristic in the research are between the ages of 20 to 30 years, with no specific diagnose. All the 40 participants were divide into 2 groups, 20 of each. The Control group and the Experimental group (Proprioception intervention), each group has had their balance tested twice on the Neurocom (CDP). The control group was measured first and after 20 minutes they were measured again. The experimental group was...

Palivcová, Lenka ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: Postural stability of near-sighted people Objectives: To analyse relationships between selected parameters of postural stability and impaired visual acuity (myopia), which is revised by optimal visual correction, by diffusing glasses or by contact lenses. Methods: Investigations of stabilizing capabilities of erected posture in its various modifications. An objective measuring was performed by stabilometric platform type Footscan. The experiment involved twelve people with myopia of -3 to -6D visual acuity of an average age of 23 ± 4 years. Myopat group of bipedal standing position were tested with open eyes with vision correction, afterwards with eyes closed, then without any vision correction. The last measured positions were performed on one lower limb with visual correction and then without it. Total number of measured positions were ten upright positions, each of which was measured with 30 second interval. Results: A total travelled way of centre of pressure was determined as a parameter of postural stability evaluating. Positions on one lower limb clearly put the highest demands for stabilizing upright positions. The only aggravation of conditions stabilizing this position should be to eliminate vision correction, which was confirmed in 8 probands from a total of 12. Under a bipedal...
Factors influencing relations between the German language and high school students
Nováková, Tereza ; Nečasová, Pavla (advisor) ; Švermová, Dagmar (referee)
The thesis deals with factors which could influence a relation between high school students and German language. It surveys factors influencing the choice to study German as foreign language and also factors affecting their relationship with the subject. One of the topics is a classification of German in the language system and describing forms of its occurrence. Between the particular factors impacting a decision which language should be studied is for example the possibility to utilize this language in a future career or living in the German speaking countries included. It also delves into the influence of the common history between Czechs and Germans. The student can be affected by a teacher, not only in the positive, but also in the negative way during their school years. The thesis also studies how the difficulty of the German language impacts its learning process and compares the effects to English. These two languages are also compared at the primary school and high school levels, while the focus is primarily on the length of the schooling and the achieved language level. The goal of this paper is to map the measure of effect on a relation between German language and high school students caused by the aforementioned factors. These students are going to finish a high school situated in the...

Skopalová, Pavla ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: Prolonged apnea: monitoring brain activity in freedivers Objectives: The aim of this study is to monitor the brain electrical activity during the prolonged apnea in freedivers. Prolonged apnea in the water and prolonged dry apnea were compared to each other and also to a resting state before the apnea, all states with the eyes closed. Brain activity was obtained from the scalp EEG and evaluated using the sLORETA program. Methods: The research was conducted in 11 healthy men at the age of 23 - 51. The data was obtained from the scalp EEG. The record was first taken at a resting state before the apneas with eyes closed, then at maximum prolonged dry apnea with eyes closed and finally at maximum prolonged apnea in the water with eyes closed. The lenghts of the prolonged apneas ranged from 2:15 minutes to 5:30 minutes in idividual probands. There were pauses of at least three minutes between each apnea as by the proband's needs. The compared pair groups were following: prolonged apnea in the water against prolonged dry apnea, prolonged apnea in the water against resting state before the apnea and finally prolonged dry apnea against resting state before the apnea, all with the eyes closed. Selected sections of EEG record without artefacts were processed by sLORETA program. In the statistical...
