Plant microclimate control
Jelínek, Jan ; Neděla, René (advisor) ; Papežová, Stanislava (referee)
This bachelor thesis discusses the management of a microclimate environment inside an enclosed box. The aim of the work is to propose and implement a program for the automized control of the microclimate. Microclimate management is ensured by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) system utilizing the program Mosaic. Radishes (Raphanous sativus L.) were chosen as the test plant. Optimal microclimate conditions for the chosen test plant were achieved by programming the management system. The system is easily adaptable, meaning endless different species of plants can be grown properly. Healthy plant growth indicates the correct parameters of the microclimate.
Energy utilization of wastes
Havlas, David ; Neděla, René (advisor) ; Jakub, Jakub (referee)
This thesis is conceived as a comprehensive document about energy utilization of waste in appropriate facilities. In the first part, the thesis deals with the issue of waste production and disposal with it. Subsequently, for the introduction to the topic of Waste to Energy, is chronologically described history of energy utilization of waste in Czech Republic and also the technology of facilities, where the combustion with subsequent utilization of energy occurs. Thesis likewise contains a list of currently operating WTE plants and information about future projects for their construction in the Czech Republic. As a crucial part, is considered the assessment of WTE plants, both in terms of the impact on saving fossil fuels, and in terms of potential impact on the environment. The conclusion brings economical evaluation, which is focused on the economic efficiency of investment into these facilities.
Automation of the cultivation process in term of program control of temperature and moisture
Beneš, Vojtěch ; Papežová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Neděla, René (referee)
Theoretical part of this thesis describes different kinds of sensors used for measuring temperature and humidity of air. These sensors are categorized according to the principle on which they operate. It also describes their characteristics like range, accuracy and other aspects important for determining suitability for a glasshouse automation system. Practical part of this work covers design of this system which can be used for auto-mated controll over temperature and humidity. It reasons about suitability of different kinds of sensors and materials. It also describes a software system capable of maintaining and changing humidity and temperature based on user input. Results of different mea-surements done during the system's operation in a variable environment are evaluated to draw conclusions about the system's ability to maintain constant temperature and humidi-ty levels inside the glasshouse.
Connecting the .NET Framework application with database MySQL.
Řezníček, Vít ; Neděla, René (advisor) ; Votruba, Zdeněk (referee)
In this thesis the main goal is to familiarize with means of connecting .NET platform to MySQL database system. In the thesis is depicted historical development of .NET platform, its components and inner workings. There are also briefly described application development tools working with this platform. A part of the thesis dedicated to MySQL describes architecture of the system, individual components and associated programs. Further there are pointed out possible programming choices to connect to databases, related .NET common libraries and also MySQL tools providing specific connection libraries. In the last part the thesis focuses on practical use of acquired knowledge about means of connection in exemplary database application.
