Vliv suprafyziologických dávek kreatinu na homocysteinový metabolismus u sportovců
Kohlíková, E. ; Petr, M. ; Přistoupilová, K. ; Šenholdová, Z. ; Přistoupil, T. I. ; Pelclová, D. ; Žák, J. ; Heyrovský, Michael ; Navrátil, Tomáš
One month´s administration of creatine (CR) in the dose of 5 g/day to 11 young men affected their daily amount of CR, creatinine, and thiodiglycolic acid (TDGA) excreted into urine. The probands were divided into 4 groups, according to the amount of CR found in urine, and of folates and of vitamin B12 determined in blood. The changes of folates and vitamin B12 were mutually reciprocal, as well as muscle mass and body fat. Each group utilized CR as donor of one- and two-carbon (1C and 2C) units by means of homocysteine (HoCySH), folates, and vitamin B12, in different metabolic pathways.
Interaction of Creatine Metabolism with Three Possible Enzymatic Pathways Using Homocysteine
Přistoupilová, K. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Petr, M. ; Šenholdová, Z. ; Přistoupil, T. I. ; Pelclová, D. ; Žák, J. ; Kohlíková, E. ; Heyrovský, Michael
Alternative administration of creatine (CR) and vitamin B12 in food supplements has confirmed our finding that CR is a source of 2C units. They can be utilized in oxidative pathway, an intermediate of which is thiodiglycolic acid (TDGA). 2C units can be used also in other metabolic pathways, in which folates and vitamin B12 coenzymes take part together with homocysteine.
Oxidative stress in pneumoconiosis
Pelclová, D. ; Fenclová, Z. ; Kačer, P. ; Kuzma, M. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Lebedová, J. ; Klusáčková, P.
Arachidonic acid, its derivatives, 8-izoprostane and some leukotriens were determined in exhaled breath condensate people in pneumoconiosis and control group in aim to reveal the correlation between exposition and some markers.
Participation of electrochemistry in the studies of human metabolism
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Šenholdová, Z. ; Přistoupilová, K. ; Přistoupil, T. I. ; Heyrovský, Michael ; Pelclová, D. ; Žák, J.
The contribution deals with explanation of metabolism of long term supplemented creatine in human organism. This process differs from metabolism of natural endogenous creatine, which is excreted in form of creatinine. Exogenous creatine induces increase of peptide formation, of body mass, and of intracellular fluid.
The use of prototype of multichannel device for electrochemical detection of DNA hybridization
Brázdilová, P. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Josypčuk, Bohdan ; Fojta, Miroslav
The article presents newly constructed 8-channel device, which enables sequential analysis realized on up to 8 different or equal sensors. The device is computer controlled. The screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCE) were connected to the device. DNA hybridization was detected. DNA present in the sample spontaneously adsorbed on the surface of SPCE and free surface was subsequently blocked using beef serum albumin. The adsorbed DNA was then hybridized with the probe marked with biotin and streptavidin conjugated with enzyme alkaline phosphatase (SALP). This enzyme catalyzes the transformation of electrochemically inactive 1-naphtylphosphateone 1-naphtol, which anodic signal was detected DC voltammetry (DCV).
The use of potentiometry for elucidation of health damage after application of lime scale removers
Šenholdová, Z. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Říčařová, B. ; Rakovcová, H.
The contribution deals with elucidation of possible fallouts of accidental ingestion of limescale removers. The research was divided into: 1) Recherché of limescale remover ingestions in years 2000-2006 according to the telephone calls to the Czech Toxicological Information Centre 2) Experiments realized to get reliable comparable parameters of the common commercial and chemical agents used for limescale removing in the Czech Republic. Their titratable acid reserves (TAR) and pH changes were followed.
Composite solid amalgam electrodes
Lukina, A. ; Josypčuk, Bohdan ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Pecková, K. ; Barek, J.
Preparation and first results achieved by composite silver solid amalgam electrodes (AgSA-CE) are presented. Polished, film as well as mercury meniscus modifications of these electrodes were studied by determination of p-nitrophenol, lead, cadmium, iodades, adenine, ascorbic acid and other compounds.
Determination of herbicide dinoseb with amalgam and carbon electrodes
Fischer, J. ; Barek, J. ; Pecková, K. ; Zima, J. ; Kücükkolbasi, S. ; Ersöz, M. ; Kara, H. ; Josypčuk, Bohdan ; Navrátil, Tomáš
Dinoseb, systematically 2-(1-methylpropyl)-4,6-dinitro-phenol, is phenolic, commonly used herbicide and insecticide. Dinoseb has two very easy reducible nitro-groups in its structure and one electrochemically oxidizable hydroxy group. Differential pulse voltammetry was applied for its determination in water. The nitro group reduction was used for voltammetric determination with hanging mercury electrode (HMDE), mercury film electrode (MFE) and modified carbon paste electrode (MCPE) and carbon paste electrode (CPE) as well as meniscus modified silver solid amalgam electrode (m-AgSAE).
Electrochemical study of the effect of long-term creatine supplementation creatine on human metabolism
Šenholdová, Z. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Heyrovský, Michael ; Pelclová, D.
The volunteers were supplemented in time interval of one month by creatine. Body parameters (mass, height, intra- and extracellular water content etc.), levels of vitamins and a few other compounds in urine and in blood (vitamine B12, homocysteine, thiodiglycolic acid, creatine, creatinine etc.) were followed. The corresponding metabolic processes are studied.
