Navrátilová, Martina ; Matoušková, Petra (advisor) ; Pohanka, Miroslav (referee) ; Česlová, Lenka (referee)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Training Workplace Department of Biochemical Sciences Doctoral Degree Program Xenobiochemistry and Pathobiochemistry Candidate Mgr. Martina Navrátilová Supervisor Assoc. Prof. Ing. Petra Matoušková, Ph.D. Advisor PharmDr. Ivan Vokřál, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis Anthelmintics in the environment: circulation, metabolism and effects This dissertation investigates the environmental impact of anthelmintics, specifically focusing on their circulation, metabolism, and effects in the environment. The primary objective was to explore the extent to which anthelmintics, particularly albendazole, affect plants under laboratory and field conditions and the potential for these effects to contribute to drug resistance in parasites. The study used an analytical technique, UHPLC-MS/MS, to monitor the uptake and biotransformation of albendazole and biochemical assays to asses phytotoxicity in plants like alfalfa and clover. Field experiments demonstrated the circulation of albendazole and its metabolites from sheep dung to plants and back to the sheep, indicating continuous environmental exposure. Furthermore, the investigation into the parasitic nematode Haemonchus contortus revealed changes in the expression of drug-metabolizing enzymes and the...

Navrátilová, Martina ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (referee) ; Komosná, Milada (advisor)
The objective of diploma thesis is to determine the price of five selected houses in Brno and consecutively to define the factors governing their price. The theoretical part is devoted to methods of real estate valuation and fundamental concepts involved. Family houses are valued according to valid Czech regulations and the price is determined. Above that the sales comparison approach is used comparing valuated properties with comparable properties that have recently been offered. A database of such properties has been created and the market value of five selected houses was determined.
Nonlinear dynamic analysis of structures with seismic loads
Navrátilová, Martina ; Nevařil, Aleš (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
Diploma thesis compares the methods for the calculation of the response of structures with seismic loads. Linear and nonlinear analyses are used for the calculations. In the case of linear analysis response spectrum method is applied. For nonlinear analysis pushover method is used. These two methods are compared in programs AxisVM and RFEM on the examples of high-rise building and space frame.
Study of seasonal changes of water quality in Vír reservoir
Navrátilová, Martina ; Dolejš, Petr (referee) ; Chocholáčová, Hana (advisor)
Thesis deals with measuring of chosen indicators of water quality in Vír reservoir (temperature, pH, colour, turbidity, fluorescence of fykocyanin, concentration of chlorofyl-a, pheopigments, microcystin-LR, orthophosphates, nitrates, etc.). Samples were taken from the sampling profiles 10, 30 a 50 metres from absolute level and in the season from May to October was direct in reservoir measured a vertical profile by a multifunction sonde YSI 6600.
Analysis of structures with seismic loads in different program systems
Navrátilová, Martina ; Nevařil, Aleš (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis compares the response of structures with seismic loads in programs AxisVM and RFEM. Simplified method using lateral forces is used for the calculation. The calculations performed by above mentioned programs are also verified by manual calculation in the case of simple examples. Consecutively the displacements of individual nodes of the structure are compared.
Gender Policy of Serbia in the Context of the EU Accession Negotiations
Navrátilová, Martina ; Kocián, Jiří (advisor) ; Šístek, František (referee)
Martina Navratilova - Gender Policy of Serbia in the Context of EU Accession Negotiations Abstract This thesis deals with the gender policy of Serbia during the years 2009-2021. During this period, the European Union had a tremendous effect on the gender policies of Serbia, hence it is crucial to include the perspective of NGOs as an important partner of both Serbia and the EU. The aim of the research is to, based on the analysis and the current state of the legislative and institutional framework, assess the impact of Serbia's gender policies on the lives of Serbian women. This analysis is carried out through a thorough examination of official documents, secondary literature and by conducting three interviews with Serbian civil society members. The research has proven that despite the complex progress of Serbian gender policy, its practical results have not been significant.
Special needs of left-handers in school club
Navrátilová, Martina ; Valentová, Hana (advisor) ; Blažková, Veronika (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with left-handedness (sinistrality) in the environment of after-school clubs. The theoretical part defines sinistrality with respect to attitude to it in history, describes the types and forms of sinistrality and deals with the options how to recognize it, describes the possibilities of modern approach and support of left-handed children. It also defines the environment, functions and contents of activities in after- school clubs and describes possible support of left-handed children in after-school clubs. The goal of the practical research is to map the attitude of educators to left-handed children, to find out what kind of tools are used in the activities in clubs, to describe quality of equipment and facilities in the classrooms and also to find out what parents expect from the educators. It also looks into particular options how to support left-handed children in arts, music and physical activities in after-school clubs as well as in doing their homework and using IT devices. The hypotheses that lead the research involve parents and educators of left-handed children, whether they are aware of complications connected with sinistrality, whether the children are adequately supported, whether the communication between after-school clubs and parents works in favour of the...
The Position of Bosnian Women within a Chosen Local Community in Sweden
Navrátilová, Martina ; Žíla, Ondřej (advisor) ; Králová, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis focuses on female immigrants from Bosnia and Herzegovina who have resided in Sweden since the 1990s. The aim of the thesis is to analyze their integration in Sweden and the influence of transnational practices on their integration. The analysis is based on semi- structured interviews with eight Bosnian women. The results of the interviews are confronted with scholarly literature and newspaper articles on Bosnian integration in Sweden and transnationalism. The areas of focus are: labor market, the knowledge of Swedish language, transnational practices, the specificities of being a female immigrant and finally the evaluation of why Bosnians are integrated so well in Sweden. The quality of integration was proven very high and the immigrants themselves, as well as the literature, attribute it to the European origin of Bosnians, especially in terms of cultural and educational closeness. The transnational practices were not proven to be an obstacle to integration, they do however create a new "Bosnian-Swedish" identity for younger women. Female immigrants seem to be keener on building a good perception of the Bosnian diaspora and its culture, which they present in several ways in Bosnian organizations. Bosnian women are also influenced by motherhood and they try to raise their children so...
Effect of anthelmintics on expression of selected plant enzymes
Navrátilová, Martina ; Matoušková, Petra (advisor) ; Novotná, Eva (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Bc. Martina Navrátilová Supervisor: Ing. Petra Matoušková, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Effect of anthelmintics on expression of selected plants enzymes Fenbendazole (FEN) is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic that is widely used to prevent and treat helminthoses in farm animals. The use of anthelmintics is associated with the risk of their transfer to the environment, where they can potentially affect non-target organisms, including plants. They come into contact with anthelmintics and their metabolites mainly due to the fertilization of farmland with manure and/or come directly into contact with the excrements of treated animals on pastures. There have not been many studies focused on the cell physiology and cell metabolism of plants affected by anthelmintics, which lead to our participation in a study which dealt, in part, with the influence of FEN on the transcriptome and gene expression in model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. A. thaliana is a monocotyledonous plant, which is a very common model organism of higher plants. Its genome was also published in 2000, allowing extensive research into gene expression. The aim of this work was to monitor expression of selected A....
