Application of pupillometry during measurement of the defocused curve

The aim of this work is to design algorithm that will detect pupil from video. The theoretical knowledge necessary for proper pupil detection is also described in this master’s thesis. Detection is done on 24 videos that are converted to single images. The complete result the dependence of the pupil diameter on the used dioptre. The overall success rate of the algorithm is 88,13 %. The overall error is 11,87 %. For 17 out of 24 patients, it is confirmed that the greater the dioptre, the larger the pupil.

Stress-strain analysis of lower limb prosthetic

This master thesis deals with lower-limb prosthesis. The aim of the first part of this work is stress-strain analysis of trans-tibial prosthesis, which is understand without prosthetic socket and the foam prosthetic feet. Analysis is made using finite element method in ANSYS Workbench 12.0 software. For the purpose of setting up the computational model it is necessary to make few partial models. Model of geometry of the prosthesis is made in SolidWorks 2009. Based on the outputs of stress-strain analysis and the results evaluation, the critical component is chosen and this one is evaluated according to limite state for fatigue. The algorithm of evaluation of named component in the state of high cycle fatigue is discussed in the second part of this thesis.

Scientific technology park Telč

The subject of bachelor thesis is a design of a building of a Scientific Technology Park with laboratories for Energoklastr in Telč. Energoklastr is competency oriented cluster focusing on co-operation of small and medium size businesses, research organizations, universities and public sector in field of applied research and transfer of technologies. It significantly contributes to development of innovations, applied research and transfer of technologies in field of lowering energy demand. Energoklastr especially focuses its activity on technology lowering emission levels and sustainability of energetics in fields like a production of electric devices, aerial industry, car industry, IT and construction. Building site for meant for the construction of VTP with laboratories of effective use of biomass in energetics is to be found in cadastral area of Telč. It is located in north-west part of town, in neighborhood of existing industrial and agricultural buildings. The property is adjacent to a first class road number 23 (Třebíč – Jindřichův Hradec), that is one of the main connection to highway D1. VTP building with the laboratory is designed like a two story wooden structure with a flat roof and no cellar. The building is trapezoidal shaped, which is adjusted to a shape of the property. The building is divided to laboratory part and administrative part according to a story. There is a suspension stainless steel staircase designed in a lobby, which is discussed in part D – Architectonical detail.

New Synagogue in Olomouc

The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a new synagogue in Olomouc according to the assignment. The goal of the thesis was to design the architectural proposal of the synagogue as well as of the new centre for the Jewish community and Jewish museum. The final proposal is two buildings connected by a courtyard. The synagogue is designed on the same place where the original synagogue stood. Part of the building for Jewish community is mikveh ritual bath, kosher restaurant, community hall, library and offices. The Jewish museum is partially recessed below ground level and covers an area beneath the synagogue and the courtyard. Shielding the building from the bustling Avenue is solved with park proposal. The entrance to the underground garage with 32 parking spaces is from the street Lafayettova.

Surrogate mothethood: Comparison with legislation in French speaking countries

Surrogacy is a very current and controversial issue resonating in almost all countries. It is a method of assisted reproduction that is used in most states primarily to treat infertility, but in some it is also available to homosexual couples. Surrogacy is sometimes considered unethical, immoral or against the natural course of nature, especially in its commercial form. The legal regulation of surrogacy and its various forms varies between countries for cultural or historical reasons, but can be divided into three categories. States permitting, states pro- hibiting and states not regulating surrogacy. The aim of this thesis is to compare the legal regulation of surrogacy in selected countries with the legal regulation in the Czech Republic. The thesis compares the legislation in Bel- gium, France and Quebec. Each of these countries has a different approach to surrogacy as such and to its regulation. France is one of the states that prohibit surrogacy, Quebec is one of the states where surrogacy is not explicitly regulated but where surrogacy contracts are null and void, and Belgium is one of the states where surrogacy is in a grey area but where repeated efforts can be seen to establish clear legislation. Birthday celebration at kindergarten and family

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how the birthdays of preschool children in Czech kindergartens and in the family environment are celebrated at the present time. In the theoretical part, the goal is a deeper insight into the topic of festive moments of childhood and the importance of rituals in pre-school and family education. The thesis points out that positive experience in early childhood significantly affect the child's future life and bring him many values that he can rely on in adulthood. The practical part describes the results of qualitative research conducted with preschool teachers and parents of preschool children. This research investigation has contributed to the knowledge of how preschool children's birthdays are celebrated in different types of kindergartens and in families with preschool children. The benefit of this finding is the set of rituals for the theme of children's birthday celebrations, usable both in the family and in preschool education, which complements family care.
