Doplňky stravy pro optimalizaci sportovního výkonu
Musilová, Karolína
The diploma thesis forms an overview of the most commonly used dietary supplements in the MMA sports industry. The effects and metabolism of BCAA supplements and creatine monohydrate are discussed in detail in this thesis. These two mentioned supplements are also included in the practical part of the work, in which I examined their influence on the body composition of the probands. There is also a questionnaire survey that concerns strength during training and the subjective feelings of athletes during exercise while using selected food supplements. Measurement and evaluation of InBody outputs revealed changes in body composition during BCAA and creatine monohydrate use. I also managed to confirm an increase in strength during train-ing when supplementing with creatine monohydrate.
Šumava National Park and Interests of its Municipalities: The Case of Postmaterial Cleavages?
Musilová, Karolína ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
The diploma thesis Šumava National Park and Interests of its Municipalities: The Case of Postmaterial Cleavages? analyses, if the postmaterial cleavage is present in the case of Šumava National Park and how is it projected on the national level. Since the very beginning, there have been argues about the notion of the national park, where two different set of ideas collide. On the one hand, there are local municipalities which depend on incomes from tourism, on the other hand, the environmentalists seek for growing extent of areas without any human intervention. The theoretical background is based on concept of cleavages by S. Rokkan and S.M. Lipset. Special attention is paid to the postmaterial dimension of the cleavage, which was evolved by R. Inglehart. The analytical part consists of case study, which examines the attitudes of the stakeholders. The examination is based on semi-structured interviews with mayors, official documents and media coverage of the topic. According to the findings, there is a cleavage, which is visible on all levels of political system, including political parties and presidents.

Power shortage readiness assessment of animal farms in Soběslav municipality
MUSILOVÁ, Karolína
The importance of electrical energy for a contemporary society is increasing. However, most of people don´t realise possible consequences of power outage for agriculture. This thesis aims at presenting an analysis of power outage effects on agricultural breeding in MEC Soběslav area. Considering the aim of the thesis, there is a problem whether the selected breeding farms are ready enough for power outages. The theoretical part of the thesis characterises crisis management, integrated rescue system (IRS), critical infrastructure and electrical grid. The following part of the chapter deals with livestock, poultry and pig breeding, mainly from the point of view of their technological as well as technical equipment. The research part is based on pen and paper interviews with representatives and owners of breeding farms. The research was focused on a degree of dependency on electrical energy in MEC Soběslav area. Two breeding farms in Germany were selected for a comparison with the situation abroad. The results revealed that most of the breeding farms are strongly dependent on electrical energy. Thanks to the last modernisation, automatic feeding or water supplying became a common standard. Unfortunately, most of the modern breeding farms are not able to guarantee these procedures in case of power outage. Great amount of breeding farms don´t have any emergency sources of energy and those that own some, have only limited supplies of fuel. There are no contracts guaranteeing the fuel for the breeding farms. The most problematic situation concerns poultry breeding, where the breeding procedures are wholly controlled by information systems and even the minute failures cause massive losses. Therefore the research problem was confirmed because the breeding farms are not equipped for powers outages. This diploma thesis is supposed to be used for educational purposes or as the means of orientation in the problem for individual breeders. The purpose is the education of presented subjects.
Sunnigdale Agreement: Consociationalism as a solution of conflict in Northern Ireland and its failure
Musilová, Karolína ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Fínková, Eva (referee)
The Bachelor's thesis "Sunningdale Agreement: Consociationalism as a solution of conflict in Northern Ireland and its failure" examines the possibilities of using consociational model to solve the conflict in Northern Ireland in the 1970s. British government tried to solve long- lasting conflict among catholics and protestants by imposing the power-sharing government. The thesis examines how the conditions of consociational model defined by Arend Lijphart were fulfilled in Northern Ireland and if there was a opportunity to solve the conflict with the model. Moreover, the thesis analyses to what extent the failure was caused by consociational model itself. The result is that conditions for consociational model are not favorable in Northern Ireland, but this does not necessarily mean failure. More important was the lack of the key element of consociationalism, which is the belief that the system should be preserved shared among the elites.
Control measures for an outbreak of foot and mouth disease at the point of origin and its surrounding
MUSILOVÁ, Karolína
This bachelor's thesis called "Control measures for an outbreak of foot and mouth disease at the point of origin and its surroundings" deals with problems concerning FMD disease occurrence in Chlebov livestock holding belonging to Reprogen JSC. FMD is extremely dangerous and highly contagious disease causing high fever that affects especially cloven-hoofed animals. A viral genus Aphthovirus is the originator, causing blisters and aphthae on intestinal tract, limbs and hairless skin, other symptoms are lameness and slobbering. The main source of infection is a sick animal and animals or objects contaminated by a sick animal. Animal to human transmission is possible but rare due to high quality of food processing and high standard of hygiene. The last recorded case of FMD in the Czech Republic was forty years ago. The public is convinced that possibility of FMD outbreak with subsequent spreading into the epidemic is almost zero. Despite this fact the Czech Republic as well as the European Union make an effort and a lot of funds to be prepared for extraordinary situations caused by FMD and Avian influenza. Concerned authorities prepare early warning and contingency plans whose up-to-date status is regularly verified during large scale emergency exercises on regional and national level basis. The introduction part of this thesis summarises disease control measures used during particular stages of development of the infection, from suspicion to confirmation to eradication of the disease. The first stage is carried out by the breeder and the veterinary authorities. The Integrated Rescue System involvement according to valid legislation is necessary after the disease is confirmed. Primarily involved in disease eradication are regional Fire Rescue Services, the Police of the Czech Republic and the Czech Republic's Army. The next part deals with the test of feasibility of disease control measures in Chlebov livestock holding. There was created map schematics with information about particular measures. It focuses primarily on cadaver disposal. Chlebov livestock holding is located in proximity of burying spot that is why the most optimal combination was chosen that is transport to Dobřejovice and burying. The hypothesis is following: "Within IRS frame we are able to manage the FMD disease in a particular livestock holding and prevent its spread into the whole area of the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis was to propose an action plan for overcoming FMD disease in particular livestock holding and to check the feasibility of these measures. Keywords: contagious disease, point of origin, eradication of FMD Available scientific literature and internet sources within the frame of valid legislation were used. The findings were checked and consulted with particular IRS members and veterinary authority representatives. The results part describes particular measures, their advantages and disadvantages and map schemas. While checking the feasibility of the measures a problem with biogas station appeared. It was discussed with the Reprogen representatives how to find an ideal solution to make this station secure. The second part of discussion was devoted to pondering whether we are ready to the possibility of spreading FMD disease through the whole area of the Czech Republic. To deal with this problem I gathered information about large epidemics during the last twenty years in Europe. After reviewing the information I came to the conclusion that the Czech Republic is not capable of dealing with large scale epidemics on its own and cooperation with other EU member states is necessary. There is a suggestion in the conclusion part of this work to further improve current set of measures and develop new ones.
