The bachelor thesis focuses on the initial public offering (IPO) in terms of key factors that affect the company when considering issues of its securities. The first part contains an explanation of theoretical concepts that are connected with the IPO and are important for its successful realisation. The second part examines selected analyzes that describe the readiness to go public in a selected company. The last part of the work formulates recommendations for entering the capital market based on found information.

Moving Objects Detection in Video Sequences

This publication is dedicated to creating appliaction for motion detection in video sequence. There is summary of several possible methods to solve this matter in theoretical and practical point of view with postive and negative properties. This methods are histograms subtraction and subtraction of each pixel in the tested frame. Fundamental part of this publication is application for motion detection. There are many of tests for created detector for several type moving object included in input video sequence. Results are intimately describe.

Automatic Creation of Dictionaries from Translations

Aim of this thesis is to implement system for translation words from source language into the target language with pair input texts. There are descriptions of terms and methods used in machine translation and machine build dictionary. The thesis also contains a concept and specification of each part created system including final evaluation. There is analysed options which make extension of existing dictionatry.

The investment portfolio and its creation

The diploma thesis focuses on the application of fundamental analysis for the purpose of creating a stock investment portfolio for retail investors. The subject of the analysis are companies listed on European stock exchanges operating in the field of information technology. The first part defines the theoretical basis related to the issues of fundamental analysis and investment portfolio creation. In the second part, selected analyses are elaborated, including the calculation of the internal value of shares according to the FCFE model. The results are evaluated using a scoring method of intercompany comparison. The last part of the thesis formulates a summary investment recommendation for the thesis' client.

V diplomové práci jsem se zabýval pracovní migrací Čechů do Velké Británie po rozšíření Evropské unie v roce 2004. Postupoval jsem od obecného popisu migračních teorií, prezentace a analýzy výsledků výzkumů a statistik týkajících se tohoto tématu k formulaci otázek pro mnou provedený kvalitativní výzkum. Zdrojem informací pro mě byla odborná literatura, výzkumné zprávy, statistika, rozhovory s respondenty, časopis Echo a internetové stránky určené pro Čechy a Slováky ve Velké Británii.

Media Coverage of Terrorist Attacks in Europe and in the World in Example of ČT 24 News

Terrorist incidents have been on the rise in Europe recently and are therefore a greatful media theme. An interesting fact, however, is the apperently larger media space in the Czech republic which recieves attacks in European countries as opposed to terrorist attack elswhere in the world. Even if the number of victims of such attacks is often many times larger than in Europe. This work focuses on the media coverage of terrorist attacks on CT24 news television. In the first part of the thesis the author first focuses on the theoretical basis of terrorism, on its characteristics and definitions. In the next part, he is devoted to TV news with respect to CT24 news. Author describes CT24 as a national news station and describes its current and breaking broadcasting scheme. In the analytical part, the author deals with the coverage of selected terrorist attacks in Pakistan, Spain, the USA and Egypt and tries to find out how CT24 devoted to these attacks. Emphasis is placed on the quantitative content analysis of media coverage and on the quantification of types of news reports used to cover CT24's terrorist attacks coverage.

Contemporary Audiodocumentary with Regard to Příběhy 20.století Cycle

Current radio broadcasting increasingly aims to the stream broadcasting and radio listening is primarly distracted. This thesis examine if there are conditions for more complex genre, such as a radio documentary. What is position of radio documentary on the radio, what it actually is radio documentary and how it is made? This thesis tries to find answer to these questions. In the first part, the autor focuses on theoretical basis of radio production and on the broadcasting specifics. Based on available literature author attempts to describe genres that are on the border between journalism and art. Thesis also tries to describe the current state of documentary of Český rozhlas and characterizes some series. In the last part, the author focuses on the Stories of the 20th Century, which he tries to characterize, describe some of its bases and shows how it is made.
