Czech Migration and Integration Policies in the Perspective of Mongolian Migration

In the period between the years 2006 and 2008, a significant increase in the migration of Mongolians to the Czech Republic could be seen. The Mongolians came to the Czech Republic mainly through formal and informal intermediary agencies and most of them worked as unskilled labor. With a few exceptions, they originally arrived to the CR with work and residence permits, yet a large part of them lost their permits during their first two years of stay. Even those who managed to live and work in the CR legally faced frequent violations of their rights. The research on Mongolian migration presented in this doctoral thesis was carried out as a case study. By looking at this specific problem area, fundamental problems posed for Mongolian migrants by the set-up of the Czech migration and integration policies could be analyzed. This work does not address these policies only and the ways they are set up, but also the manner of implementation and the specific impact of these policies on the life of the monitored migrants. It shows that major problems in the way migration policy is set up and regulated are encountered already by the visa applicants still in Mongolia. The Club of Customs Officers of the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis named ,,The Club of Customs Officers of the Czech Republic" describes the development of this voluntary, independent, professional organization of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic since 1923 until now. The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to classify this professional organization to the Civil society organizations and to find out, what its purposes in the society are. There are theoretical principles described in the first part, which I apply to The Club of Customs Officers in the second part. The third part is focused on The Club of Customs Officers of the Czech Republic itself.

There is no doubt that civil society organizations play an important role in the regional development. One of the inner factors of the regional development potential and the tool to ensuring the quality and sustainability of the implemented measures is the cooperation and partnership between the civil and public sector entities. The cooperation and parthership should be strenghtened by the inner organization of civil sector into the ubrella organizations and by the provision of their services. In this diploma thesis is realized the quantitative research which is focused on the fact what is the role of regional umbrella organization in the setting of cooperation and partnership with the regional government.
Management of Voluntaries in the Children's Homes

Individual non-profit organizations interested in volunteering in a children's home is different and different approach orphanages as receiving organizations. This type of volunteer work means high- risk threats for the client. The aim is to find out how a few selected organizations as well as access admission organizations or orphanages. I will be interested to know to what extent the requirements orphanages determine the form of volunteer training, or if they leave the orphanages fully non-profit organization and does not participate. Another objective will be to determine how to conduct the management of volunteers in terms of volunteer centers and to reduce the potential risks as far as possible. Risks are for clients - children, but also for volunteers, because they take care about children.
Factors influencing cross-sectorial cooperation within CSR programs in Czech republic

Synopsis The diploma thesis is focused on cross-sectorial cooperation between corporations and nonprofit organizations. The main goal of the thesis is to find the factors, which influence cross-sectorial cooperation. Furthermore, the aim is to determine typology and foundations of cross-sectorial cooperation and how this cooperation is presented in public within the Czech Republic. Several theories dealing with types of cross-sectorial cooperation and the theory that characterizes basic factors that influence cross-sectorial cooperation are introduced and compared in the theoretical part of this thesis. Research part presents conclusions and findings based on qualitative research, conducted in both corporations and nonprofit organizations. The results and the goals of the thesis are summarized in the conclusion of this thesis.
NGOs in czech prison system

The thesis focuses on activities of NGOs in Czech prison system. First chapter introduces the theoretical context of given topic and current situation in Czech prison system with its pressing problems with regard to the declared purpose of custodial sentence and possible role of NGOs in it. Following part gives an overview of work of various NGOs and divides them on the basis of their main focus. Empirical part is based on a research among respondents coming from both NGOs and state organisations and shows the strengths and weaknesses of cooperation between them as well as the main barriers to work of NGOs and the possible prospects. As an output there can be recommendations found in this thesis which suggest possible improvements of the current situation in Czech prison system including the activities of NGOs and put forward kinds of activities and focus missing in the present condition.
Regional NGOs' umbrella association as a role model of cooperation between civic sector and public administration

The objective of this thesis is to discuss regional NGOs' umbrella associations and to explore their part as a role model of cooperation between civic sector and public administration while using qualitative research methods. Against the backdrop of a case study of specific NGO association, this paper examines to what extent may activities of such association contribute to a standardized cooperation with public administration. The theoretical basis of the research is defining the state and the civic sector as regulators of democratic societies. Its primary focus is on areas with significant influence on the subject, namely and in particular the topic of regional (self)government and NGOs' umbrella assocations in the Czech Republic.
the Ananlysis of Civil Association as Social Enterprises in Prague

This diploma thesis is analyzing civic associations that conduct a social enterprise in Prague. The aim of the paper is to discover, in which measure do the specific associations fulfill economical and social conditions according to the methodology EMES, which represents characteristics for an "optimal social enterprise". Firstly, the thesis examines the idea of the social economics and social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic as well as in Europe. It focuses on the research network EMES of professor Jacques Defourny, and on the legal and economical activity of the civic associations. The methodological part of the paper analysis examples of the specific civic associations through the methodology EMES. For each association, economic and social conditions, based on methodic EMES, are examined through the document analysis method and semi-structured interviews. Civic Society Organizations Supporting Employment of Parents in Prague and Central Region (2010 - 2012)

Diploma thesis "Civil Society Organizations supporting employment of parents in Prague and Central Bohemian Region (2010 - 2012)" deals with the mapping of supply of civil society organizations in the area of Prague and Central Bohemia in the years 2010 - 2012, which aim to promote employment of parents. In the empirical research are included programs of personal and professional development of clients, help with their orientation in the labour market, advice on a finding new work (including setting up own business) and programs that are focused on working with employers and reconciling family and working life. In view of the fact that these organizations offers, of course, to some extent dependent on the characteristics of the Czech Republic, family and employment policies of the state and the European Union, the thesis contains also a summary of key facts that are related to this area. In conclusion, this thesis contains not only an analysis of research outputs, but as well as a draft recommendations, which could lead to improvement of the situation.
