Models of enzyme-substrate interaction in chemistry teaching
Mužík, Jakub ; Kolář, Karel (advisor) ; Bílek, Martin (referee)
The Diploma Thesis deals with the application of biochemistry tasks extended by a material and multimedia model in chemistry teaching at high school and university. The main objective was to find out whether the proposed tasks meet the criteria for inclusion in the teaching of biochemistry within laboratory exercises in high school seminars and university laboratory exercises. Qualitative research using the method of semi-structured interview, intrinsic motivation inventory and activity perception questionnaire were used for the analysis. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains information about enzymes, their active center and today's views of their function. Furthermore, the emergence of a "guest-host" interaction between acid-base indicators and macrocyclic compounds - cyclodextrins, which serve as models for the demonstration of the interaction between the substrate and the active site of the enzyme, is described. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the methodology of research of tasks at high school and university. The practical part describes the tasks including experimentally obtained data for their realization and all the tools necessary for their implementation. Furthermore, the creation and use of material and...
Comparison of heat sources for family houses
Mužík, Jan ; Lisá, Hana (referee) ; Toman, Filip (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of different heat sources for four model houses with different heat losses. The main types of fuels used for heating the houses, such as solid fuels (biomass, fossil fuels), natural gas and electricity, their advantages and disadvantages as well as their environmental impact are presented. Subsequently, a complete overview of the available technologies in the field of heating of family houses is prepared, describing their technical parameters, operation, energy efficiency, costs and environmental impact. The thesis focuses on traditional heat sources such as solid fuel boilers, local heaters, gas and electric boilers, but also on their more modern alternatives such as gasifier boilers, automatic pellet boilers, condensing gas boilers and heat pumps. In the practical part, calculations of the total costs of heating and domestic hot water heating by each heat source of all four model houses are performed. This part is complemented by tables with technical parameters of the selected heat sources and also graphical dependencies comparing their total operating costs.

Analysis of training needs
Application of games in adult education
Šneiderová, Vilma ; Mužík, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Michalová, Lucie (referee)
This diploma work examines certain aspects of using games as a tool for adult training and development. The work first defines the term "game" and lists examples of possible uses of games as an educational tool with a focus on adult individuals in corporate training. Other parts of the work describe the conditions for using games as a tool for developing key skills and include details regarding the expectations of instructors and participants for effective use of development games and other influencing factors. Another part of the text focuses on participants in development as a social group with its own inherent rules and internal processes. The final part lists conditions and procedures for reverse processing of the course of the game in a way that fulfills its development potential and enables the game to serve as a benefit to the group of participants for their experience and therefore fulfill set educational goals. The concluding part of the work gives two illustrative examples of experience with the method, which point out potential problems that could arise if games are not used properly. This work does not examine the process of preparing and conducting games. The main topic of this thesis is work with a group when conducting a game and after a game has ended.

Pudilová, Veronika ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of a methodology for selection of hand workers in engineering industry, with a focus on ability tests. At the beginning, the processes that take place before assembling of a selection tool are described. It is a job analysis and creation of job descriptions and qualification profiles. Then there is a process of identification of required capabilities and creation of competency profiles. Common methods of analysis and description of tool creation and their use are mentioned for both of these processes. Further, the work deals with the description of methods, which are used during the selection process with emphasis on psychodiagnostic tests. Relevant psychometric characteristics and rules for the test usage and evaluation are mentioned there. Next section describes specifics of hand workers selection. The practical section describes creating of a specific methodology for selection for the position operator in the production. Working conditions at a given position are approximated, job is analyzed, competency profile created and a selection tool (group of tests) designed. The selection tool consists of two ability tests, which were normalized to a sample of operators prior to being put into practice. Manual dexterity test was accustomed to the conditions of the...

Management Styles
Černá, Lenka ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (referee)
The key to success for any corporation lS high-quality managers. Specialised publications frequently distinguish between so called generalists (i.e. generally trained managers) and specialists for a particular type of management (also referred to as 'knowledge managers'). In my opinion, the most important is to look at what different types of managers share (irrespective ofthe position in the management they hold in the company), rather than at what are the differences between them. First, my paper looks at the general pre-requisites necessary to hold management positions. Then I describe the most important management theories as well as management styles which are applied at present in human resources management.
Workers commitment and its influence over job performance
