The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the subject of marketing communication of BM Fitness Havlíčkův Brod sports club. It aims particularly at sales promotion and advertising, whose principles are explained in the first, theoretical part of the thesis. The practical part examines and evaluates the current state of the company. The last chapter introduces own suggestions and recommendations for improving the marketing strategy of the sports club.

The diploma thesis deals with proposals for the development and building of a brand at the retail company Goled, which deals with the online sale of LED lighting. The thesis identifies suitable theoretical concepts for brand development. First is analyzed the company, the Goled brand itself and then its position to customers and competitor. The work mainly uses the experience of existing customers of the brand, which it then uses to design appropriate building and development of the Goled brand.

At the same time, the thesis contains suggestions for optimizing the marketing mix which should ensure improvement of the competitive position of the monitored company on the market.

Reason behind the thesis is the author’s own motivation supported by current and relevant analysis, especially in the field of the coffee market, its development and trends, competition, potential customers and other factors, that might affect the new brand when entering the market. Chosen analysis and proposals are using methods and tools explained in the theoretical part. Presented proposal serves as a framework for the future development of a brand that will be competitive and will meet customer requirements.

Practical part is oriented on chosen company and the current situation. Finally, in the last part there will be introduction of questionnaire with its results and suggestion for improvement of marketing strategy.

The theoretical part defines the theoretical basis for creating a brand building strategy. Next part, the analytical part is based on the knowledge and methodology of the theoretical part. This section describes the basic information about brand Daflex System. The thesis continues with analyzes of customers, suppliers and competitors. These analyzes then lead to the evaluation of the findings and the creation of recommendations in the last part.
Marketing Activities of Retail Chain

The diploma thesis analyzes marketing activities of retail chains in the Czech Republic. It summarizes basic knowledge about trade, marketing, marketing communications and basic methods of marketing research. It deals with particular retail chains with focus on modern trade, from the traditional trade it focuses on COOP chain. It examines different marketing activities of retail chains and sets best practice. For COOP chain is carried out a deeper analyses of marketing activities based on approach of SWOT analyses. The thesis also uses a knowledge from questionnaires: one was the internet questionnaire and the other was conducted via personal questioning among COOP customers. Final proposals incorporate marketing activities that can be used in any retail chain and also a set of recommendation of marketing activities designated especially for COOP chain.
