Work motivation of employees of NGOs participating in the Reconstruction of State project
Rychetská Benyovszká, Natálie ; Legnerová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Moree, Dana (referee)
The research focuses on advocacy NGOs in the Czech Republic, specifically on whether the work motivation of employees of advocacy NGOs participating in the Reconstruction of State project is related to subjective perception of the presence of motivators and hygiene factors according to Herzberg's two-factor motivation theory. Furthermore, it studies the connection between the length of employment in these organizations and the amount of work motivation. The research was done using a questionnaire inquiry. The acquired data are processed using the SPSS module. The results of the research show the importance of both the motivators and hygiene factors for work motivation of the chosen employees, however they don't show correlation between the length of employment and the amount of motivation. In the final discussion, the results are evaluated and placed into a wider context of preceding research in the field of NGOs. The research has found that some employees are motivated more by certain hygiene factors than by motivators, which is actually in contrast to Herzberg's two-factor theory. Keywords: Advocacy NGO, job satisfaction, motivation, motivators, hygiene factors, employees. 2

The goal of the master thesis is to find out the perceived advantages and disadvantages, and how it is related to the level of activity of members of the umbrella organization. Further, I want to compare the data with the theoretical literature in order that differs. Theme of umbrella in the Czech Republic is almost unexplored. There are only a few expert papers in this area. That's why I decided to focus on cooperation in civil sector (organization focus on rare diseases), which is relatively unknown. Keys words: advantages of cooperation, disadvantages of cooperation, rare disease, advocacy function, information function, umbrella organizations, patient organizations, Czech Association for Rare...

Allen, Natallia ; Moree, Dana (advisor) ; Muhič Dizdarevič, Selma (referee)
This study analyzes the relationship between motivation for civic engagement, migration experience, and identity, in first generation migrants. It draws upon the idea that civic engagement is beneficial for democratic societies in general, and that it can also be a source of great support for migrants in the process of integration into a new environment. So far, very little attention has been paid to the civic engagement of migrants in the Czech Republic, especially from the point of view of migrants themselves. This qualitative study aims towards a better understanding of the connections between migration and civic engagement.
