Scattering of the electroweak vector bosons
Morávek, Petr
In the present work we study the scattering of vector gauge bosons in the framework of higher dimensional theory of Kaluza-Klein type. This work provides an instructive introduction to the given problematics with all technical details of the relevant calculations. The basic ideas of the theory are demonstrated on a set of simple models. Particular attention is paid to the selection of consistent boundary conditions using the variational principle of least action, gauge invariance and tree-level unitarity of longitudinal gauge bosons scattering.
Treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity using botulinum toxin A
Šámal, Vladimír ; Morávek, Petr (advisor) ; Zachoval, Roman (referee) ; Krhut, Jan (referee)
2. Summary Treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity using botulinum toxin A Introduction: The treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) is still a serious medical, social and economic problem. Using onabotulinumtoxinA (onaBTA) is the first choice in patients who are refractory to standard anticholinergic therapy or with the occurrence of serious adverse events from this treatment. The standard way of applying onaBTA is intramural injection into the detrusor of the urinary bladder. Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of the NDO treatment with submucosal applications of onaBTA with regard to the complex mechanism of the action of onaBTA on the urinary bladder. Methods: A randomized, prospective open-label study was performed. The study population consisted of patients with neurogenic detrusor overactivity due to spinal cord injury. A total of 23 patients, in which urinary incontinence persisted due to NDO despite anticholinergic therapy, were included. After randomization, patients were treated with 300 U onaBTA applied in 30 injection sites, sparing bladder trigone. In group A the treatment was carried out using submucosal applications and in group B with intramural application into the detrusor. The length of the study was 12 weeks. Urodynamic examination was performed before and after the...

Problems of renal tumours in patiens with terminal stadium of renal failure
Ürge, Tomáš ; Hora, Milan (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zachoval, Roman (referee) ; Morávek, Petr (referee)
Objective: Risk of renal carcinoma is minimal 10 x higher in group of patients in terminal stadium of renal failure (end stage kidney disease - ESKD). We have only some information about chromosomal changes in renal tubules, from which rise renal carcinoma, and about pathogenesis of renal carcinoma, which seems to be different from carcinoma in common population. Aim of the study: In clinical part we valorize characteristic signs of renal carcinoma in ESKD by using of statistic methods. In experimental part we can explain pathogenesis of this carcinoma by analysis of selective chromosomal aberations. Material, methods: In 2000 - 2007 were 184 patients with ESKD in care of transplant centre and nephrologic ambulation of Faculty hospital Plze_. In 15 patients we diagnose renal carcinoma. In this group we valorize: age, gender, causation of renal failure and dialysis duration. Age, gender and type of renal carcinoma we confront with carcinoma in common population. In experimental part we valorize numerical aberations in chromosome 7, 17 and Y of tubular epithelium using fluorescent hybridization in situ (FISH). Results: We have 15 patients in average age 55.7 ± 11.5 years, long of during dialyzation was 78 ± 54 months. We do not find dependence between causation of renal failure and genesis of renal...
Gas sensor based on carbon nanoparticles
Morávek, Petr ; Pytlíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with characterization of gas sensors based on carbon nanomaterials. In the theoretical chapter, the basic terms connected with the gas detection field, properties of different carbon nanoparticles and methods of their preparation are described. Practical experiments include the evaluation of samples` responses to ammonia, influence of annealing on their response and comparison of pure samples and their modifications.
Processing of Uncertain Information in Databases
Morávek, Petr ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
The following diploma thesis focuses on processing of uncertain information in databases. Uncertain information represents vague customer requests during laptop choice in classic shop purchasing. Effort of the work is to develop a modern e-shop application selling laptops, which is based on expert fuzzy system helping customers to choose a laptop without knowledge of technical specifications and current trends.
Information system for registration of meetings in trading companies
Pohl, Martin ; Morávek, Petr (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
This work has been created to keep file of descriptions of salesmen negotiations for the company management. The application uses relational database system MySQL to store the data and a web interface as the program access. It was written in PHP script language. The data from the records will be used for evaluating and assessment. A part of the work is original graphic template that uses CSS cascade style and jQuery libraries. A reminding module has bee added, which notifies the terms of negotiations, meetings, and e-mails to reduce the danger of missing a term. The data is used to create graphs showing the monitored values, status and progress of events.
Implementation of SolidWorks Enterprise PDM in a design company
Krajger, Oliver ; Morávek, Petr (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with the problem of implementation of company management of construction data called PDM (Product Data Management). The aim of this work is to present SolidWorks Enterprise PDM, its options during implementation and especially the processes of the lifecycle of the PDM implementation. Additionally it presents its linking to company information systems, which, together with CAD (Computer-aided design) systems, make up the core of PLM solutions (Product Lifecycle Management) of management of products. The closing part of the work shows a summary of all information into a particular example of analysis, solution concept, and configuration of SolidWorks Enterprise PDM in T Machinery a.s. construction company as well as the benefits of the implemented system.
