The education and employment of prisoners within and after the execution of their confinement

Introduction of this bachelor thesis deals with an importance of terms "human capital" and "restorative justice". Nowadays, the main aim is not to incarcerate a criminal, but to stimulate him to change his behavior, in order to become a better man. Hence, there is a possibility for a criminal to extend his education, to take up a retraining course or to start working during the execution of his punishment. The main goal of this theses is to find out whether these activities, education, retraining courses or employment within the execution of a punishment are rather a benefit for both convicted and society. Huge range of projects have been created to strive for re-integration of former criminals into society and to the employment market. I will try to answer the question if a criminal becomes better by virtue of activities listed above and I would like to prove it with statistics related to the hight of recidivism, i.e. repeated criminal activity in the Czech Republic.

Comparison of efficiency of the public courts with private courts in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis is comparing the public courts with private courts in the Czech Republic. Introducion of this bachelor thesis is focused on the theory of providing economics goods and then stickler's and adversary's argumentation for the public administration. The following part contains excurcus to operating principle of competition in formation law and private administration and exaction in medieval Iceland, Wild West, England and Bohemia. The main part of work is an analysis of efficiency of private and public courts in civil cases in the Czech Republic. The results of this analysis says that private courts are more efficient. The end of this thesis answers why are private courts more efficient.

Regulation of Advertising of Drugs - Education of Consumer

The main objective of my diploma thesis was to explain the principles and basic terms of drug policy in the Czech Republic, and to illustrate all the issues of government regulations in this area. This paper is trying to confront two different kinds of health services. The first one based on liberal principles, without any government intervention (system in USA), and the second one demarcating with regulations and restrictions, devoid of any free market fundamentals (system in EU). It describes the relationship between patient and doctor, and points out the different number of information, they dispose of. This paper is trying to explain the problem of skewed distribution of information in society. It presents how the government regulations in the free market area destroy the source allocation efficiency and goes against the satisfaction of customers' needs.

Religion, tradition and order - Comparison of traditional churches`s and sects`s behaviour

There are two main parts in this thesis. In the first one, we are focused on different approaches to the relationship of religion and government. We point out the influence of religion (both positive and negative) on individual. These issues are viewed from the perspective of some famous theories. For example: G.S. Becker's Accounting for Tastes, F. A. Hayek's theory of spontaneous order, H. Bergson's philosophy or M. Weber's sociology of religion. The second part analyses situation in Czech Republic and compares it to situations in Austria and Sweden. There are appendixes, which can be used as bases for new research.

The analysis of business obstruction of soletraders and small enterproseres

The aim of the thesis is comparative analysis. I compare part of the index of economic freedom concerned business freedom and labour market, with public inquiry research of entrepreneurial costs connected with state regulation. I focus on the corruption theme and it's influence to the economic freedom. In the first part I describe basic researches of economic freedom. In the second and third part I attend to theory of labour market and business regulation. I describe situation of entrepreneurs in the Czech republic, their problems and expenses connected with state administrative and bureaucracy and also their troubles with employees hiring at labour market. The thesis come to conclusion about excessive corruption disutility, expenses of taxes and entry to business.

Importance of institutional environment for entrepreneurship

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the problems of institutional environment and its influence over the business activity. It defines its basic theory and relation to enterpreneurship. The bachelor thesis tries to solve the question, whether the institutional environment is the most important factor in entrepreneur's decision making on investment. In the analytical part the two countries - Czech Republic and Ukraine are compared from the viewpoint of institutional environment and other factors that can act by investment decision making (average monthly wage, tax burden, infrastructure). The research has been extended to the analysis of contemporary extent of foreign direct investment in both countries. Based on gathered facts it evaluates the importance of institutional environment for entrepreneurship.

Problém velkých měst s automobilovou dopravou.

V mé práci se zabývám problémem velkých měst s automobilovou dopravou, v podobě negativních extrnalit, a jeho možným řešením formou zavedení mýtného.V teoretické části popisuji teorii externalit a uvádím dva nejrozšířenější názory na řešení problematiky extrnalit, které pochází od A.C.Pigoua a R.H.Coase.V analytické části jsem se zaměřil na města, kde už systém mýtného funguje zejména na Londýn a Stockholm.dále se podrobněji zabývám dopravní situací v Praze a možnou podobou mýtného. Výsledkem mé práce je zjištění, že mýtné má na dopravu ve městech pozitivní dopad.

Zájmové skupiny v zemědělství v ČR se zaměřením na producenty vepřového masa

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zájmovými skupinami v zemědělství na území ČR s analýzou konkrétního příkladu, který se týká chovatelů prasat. Cílem práce je uvedení do problematiky existence zájmových skupin ve vyspělé společnosti, a vysvětlení jejich úspěšnosti při prosazování zájmů. První část práce obsahuje teoretický úvod, a to definici zájmových skupin, možnosti dobývání renty u vlád, a uvedení zemědělce jako konkrétní zájmovou skupinu. Druhá část obsahuje zemědělskou politiku v ČR a EU, jejích instituce a formy finančních toků do zemědělství. Zároveň shrnuje legislativu, způsoby regulace, a dotační programy v zemědělské politice. Hlavní částí práce je analýza zájmové skupiny v ČR, jejich způsoby prosazování zájmů a úspěšnosti při dosahování cílů u vlád.

Common Agricultural Policy in the context of state interventions

Je zrejmé, že nedeliteľnou súčasťou reformného procesu, ktorý by európskej ekonomike mohol vrátiť potrebnú dynamiku, je reforma Spoločnej poľnohospodárskej politiky. Podstatná časť priestoru diplomovej práce je venovaná jednej z najkontroverznejších spoločných politík v dnešnej Európe. Komplexnosť otázky Spoločnej poľnohospodárskej politiky, ako sa pokúsim ukázať, je determinovaná situáciou, ktorá implikovala jej zrod, samotnou genézou, až po nedávne reformné snahy. Základom pre analýzu vhodnosti parametrov Spoločnej poľnohospodárskej politiky bude stručné objasnenie problematiky slobodnej zmeny, trhu, vlastníckych práv, rovnako ako aj záujmových skupín a štátnych intervencií. Na samotný záver by som rád na Spoločnú poľnohospodársku politiku nazrel z rôznych uhlov a vyjadril sa k jej opodstatnenosti dnes.

Tuition at universities in the CR - yes or no?

Prioritně se tato práce (za pomoci především zahraniční literatury) pokuší analyzovat a zhodnotit ekonomickou podstatu statků ?vzdělávání? a ?vysokoškolské vzdělávání? včetně deskripce a zhodnocení školného z hlediska přístupu obecné ekonomické teorie. Následně je pojednáno o konkrétní situaci na trhu s vysokoškolským vzděláváním v České republice a zhodnoceny dopady neschválení školného (jsou-li jaké) na jeho aktuální stav.
