The Interpretation of the Lord's Prayer: The Way of Introduction of Christian Spirituality and Morality

This bachelor thesis deals with the interpretation of the Lord's Prayer as a contextual and literary centre of Jesus' Mountain speech and contributes to a deeper understanding of the spiritual dimension of humans. The thesis introduces theological ethics, and its proprium, and a definition of Christian morality. The thesis also presents the contents of Jesus' Mountain speech as the Greater Charter of Christian morality that is closely connected with the Lord's Prayer. Within the Lord's Prayer the thesis focuses on spirituality, specifically Christian spirituality and prayer itself, and describes in detail what prayer is. Furthermore, the main part of the thesis focuses on the interpretation of the Lord's Prayer itself and understanding of the individual requests. As a prayer of general liberation that starts with the meeting of the living God and binds oneself to committed behavior in the sense of love and justice; as a prayer of human necessities of life in which a God's issue is not incomprehensible for a human and a human issue is not indifferent for the God. The final part of the thesis seeks to describe and emphasize individual connections of the Lord's Prayer with theological ethics, Christian morality and Christian spirituality. "A time to live and a time to die" in Theological Ethics

This bachelor thesis introduces the Leben hat seine Zeit, und Sterben hat seine Zeit handbook by the society of Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa. From this handbook the main argumentation theological-ethic tools used in discussions concerning the questions of the end of a human life are taken. The Jewish-Christian religion attaches unique dignity to a human life, which is assumed on the basis of imago Dei or imago Christi. Other aspects related to a human life rise from this dignity. They are aspects such as justification through religion, autonomy of a human being in which the limits among freedom, dependence and responsibility are being clarified. Furthermore, the thesis shows how Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa puts its beliefs (related to the questions appearing at the end of a human life) into practice. Consequently, the thesis reacts to the outputs of the handbook. Notions concerning euthanasia are clarified in a way they are used in Europe nowadays. Moreover, three main arguments that (according to the handbook) are fundamental for a discussion with dying and incurably ill people are being presented. Bachelor work entitled: theological and ethical aspects shaping the lives of people with Alzheimer's disease focuses on people with Alzheimer's disease, handling, processing, and attitudes towards this disease in society and access it. Aim of this work is the general view on this disease and the aforementioned focus in terms of adequate theological and ethical aspects, which include aspects of individual, inter-personal and social theological ethics. Bachelor work observe, that every person with Alzheimer's disease through the consequences for him and his surroundings does not lose its dignity, and therefore has the right to humane treatment. This bachelor thesis deals with individual theological and ethical aspects of the current professional dokument in the field of palliative care; the Charter for the care of the critically ill and the dying in Germany. It is based on conviction that it is necessary to provide dignified conditions for the critically ill and the dying. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Charter for the care as a successful interdisciplinary result of international cooperation and experience of people working in the field of palliative care. This thesis wants to fulfil one of the important appeal of this charter in regard to interdisciplinary attitude and integration in education. It also wants to contribute to humanly dignified life formation of the critically ill and the dying, palliative care support and education of actors being active in the field of palliative care. The dignity of the human person constitutes the real basis and aim of human rights. The source of human dignity is according to theological ethics rooted in the biblical conception of the human being (Imago Dei). This thesis is based on relevant documents about palliative care and illustrative biblical passages.

Human Dignity of Seniors with Dementia in Residential Facilities

The work is dealing with the topic of dignity of seniors impaired with dementia in residential facilities. The objective is to compare specific approaches of the attending personel influencing the clients' dignity focusing on dignity conception from the human rights point of view. In connection with this objective I try to find out which specific approaches lead to strenghtening the human dignity of a man suffering from dementia in residential facilities. To be more illustrative the work includes casuistics and examples from practice. In the introduction I concisely outline the reality of seniors in residential facilities. The work then continues with the description of dementia as an illness, its causes, stages and typology. Further part of the work is trying to view the dignity through Kant's philosophy, human rights documents and christian perspective. Further is the comparison of professional ethic codexes of helping personnel. Practical part of this work is a questionnaire investigation. This investigation is evaluated with the help of graphic representations and the analysis of individual aspects of the answers. The Potential of Sexual Education in Primary Schools

Sexually transmitted diseases, commercial sexual exploitation of children, deviantbehavior, homophobia are all problems of our time. Many states deal with this phenomena by intervention in the education system and places great emphasis on prevention. Czech Republic society still isn't a kind of society with many of the characters as mature and democratic society which undoubtedly follows the awareness of children abou these isues. The influence of Christianity, traditional values and behaviors, and certain puritanism stillpersists in our society. Eligibility of family model claiming the exclusive right to raise their children with regards to the parents posibilities in today's hectic modern society has complicated application. Children are mainly imposed on the media in various forms of sexuality which causes confusion of children and a sense of moral release. The emphasis is on enjoyment, fun and easy and carefree life which is not a mirror of reality. Educate children on sexual issues, although it should be primarily a family affair, but as already mentioned, due to social changes and transformation of structures of society and family. School should have or would have enough of space for professional educators and for a general overview and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancy...

Mention Metanoia in Pastoral and Social Work

This bachelor thesis deals with the term metanoia, which can be replaced by the more familiar term conversion. It is a decision for a radical change of life, which involves the whole person and leads to transformation and new orientation of values and standards. It is about turning away from the current way of life and turning to God. This is a personal response to God's invitation to his fellowship. The aim of this thesis is to describe the process of conversion and put it into the context of selected areas of social and pastoral practice. The first part deals with the essence of conversion and the question what conversion brings. In the second part, some of the stories of biblical figures from the Old and New Testament are analysed. The process of metanoia and its aspects are well captured in this stories. Finally, the third and the fourth parts are devoted to the meaning of metanoia for pastoral and social practice. It is shown that just here metanoia has its place.

Their connection is greatly reflected in attitudes and behavior of people to themselves as well as to others. The theses provide inspiration and ways of solving problems in the field of social work, for students and graduates of social disciplines, as well as for social, pastoral workers, layperson and for those who are concerned with the lives of others. The aim of this work is to highlight the importance of interconnection of biblical Christian spirituality and morality and their consequences in social work. At the same time it is based on the fact that spirituality and morality are mutually enriching. The work is grounded on biblical message and the relevant documents relating to morality and spirituality, including church documents, Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church and ethnical codes.

This bachelor thesis deals with human rights and biometrical technologies. It treats increasing use of biometrical technologies which influence more and more often the lives of considerable number of people and it points out the advantages and disadvantages of this method. Biometrical technologies are here regarded from the human rights standards' point of view. It shows the attitude and limits of human rights concerning these issues. It deals with individual biometrical technologies including particular way of their utilization. It points out misuse of biometrical technologies in the past by means of numerous examples and uses them to outline future usage of these technologies.

Stimuli of the Biblical Conception of Faith, Hope and Love for Social Work Practice with Seniors Suffering Dementia

This bachelor's dissertation "Stimuli of the biblical conception of faith, hope and love for social work practice with seniors suffering dementia" deals with the issue presented in the title. The author endavours to point out the overlap between theological ethics and social work and the irreplaceability of the triad of faith, hope and love in high-standard social work with this target group. First the biblical view of faith, hope and love is presented as a spiritual path between God and man. A presentation is then made of social work in which faith, hope and love can be observed, while the biblical conception of man and his dignity is also of importance, as are the sources and motivation behind the social worker and a pastoral approach to social work. In conclusion the entire issue of the elderly suffering dementia is set out. High-standard social work involving faith, hope and love helps these people to the maximum possible extent to achive a dignified experience of this far from easy stage in their life.
