Cryogenic Technique
Zrůst, Michael ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with technology of cryogenic temperatures, liquefying gases in this temperature interval, effects of these temperatures on materials and insulations. In the introduction, brief history of development of this field. Next part is about gases which get liquefied in cryogenic temperatures and their applications. The largest chapter is chapter about liquefying in which principle of coolers, heat exchangers and liquefiers is described. Next, means of cooling by expansion, cooling cycles used to reach desired temperatures and ways of separating gas mixtures, are specified. In the last chapter insulation used to maintain cryogenic temperatures inside space is discussed.
Design of heat exchanger
Kopřivová, Anna ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses a design of the water-steam type heat exchanger. The nature of heat exchangers is based on increasing the efficiency of thermal circuits. At the beginning of the thesis, a principle of these thermal cycles, namely Carnot’s and Rankine-Clausius’s cycles are described. Furthermore, in this thesis, I deal with heat exchangers alone together with their basic distinction and more detailed description with a closer look at specific sorting of the heat exchangers regarding their construction, which means recuperative, regenerative and direct contact exchangers. Special attention is paid to tubular exchangers, which create the core of thermal computation. Closing part involves a design of a low-pressure tubular heater by means of assigned parameters of work substances at the input and the output.
Heat Recovery Steam Generator design
Dlouhá, Kristýna ; Botlík, Petr (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design of a heat recovery steam generator. The introductory part of the thesis is dedicated to waste heat boilers, their division and their utilization in combined cycles gas turbine. In the following chapter, an analysis of the existing combined heat and power plant operation is performed. In the next part of the thesis, the conceptual layout of the new source is designed. Subsequently, the thermal calculation of the boiler is carried out as well as the design of individual heat exchanging surfaces. The sixth chapter deals with the strength calculation of the boiler and the outer piping, chambers and drum are designed here. At the end of the thesis there are described off-design states of the new combined cycle gas turbine.
Design of cyclone separator for hot gas
Kadlík, Libor ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with separating of solid particles. The thesis is divided into three parts. In first part are described principles of separating solid particles from gas. In second part is designed optimal cyclone gas separator with high efficiency and are made technical drawings of components. Final part is focused on heat loss of designed cyclone gas separator and design of optimal insulation.
Energy use of waste
Hrubý, Radomír ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The content of this work is an evaluation of the Waste-to-Energy technology. The in-troduction describes current position of the Czech Republic on waste management. Including description of individual waste management technologies. The following chapter deals with the use of waste as a fuel for energy purposes. The principle of waste incineration and pyrolysis technology is elaborated here. Further, are discussed the methods of purification of individual components of flue gas. The penultimate chapter is devoted to legislation that affects the ecology of Waste-to-Energy technology and the comparison of emissions of various stationary sources of pollution which are producing energy. In conclusion, there are described facilities for the energy utilization of municipal waste in the Czech Republic, which are supplemented by two facilities from neighboring states.
The potential of biogas in the Czech Republic and opportunities for increasing efficiency of biogas stations
Dvořák, Lukáš ; Lisá, Hana (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with mapping of potential a biogas in the Czech Republic and compareses biogas purification technologies. The balance calculations are performed in this thesis which determine the current situation biogas production in the Czech Republic in 2017. There are recommendation for increasing efficiency of biogas stations.
Optimizing injections from the condensate pump
Kordiovský, Jan ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the optimization calculation of the mass flow of injection from the condensing pumps of the second degree to the condensate of heating steam, flowing from the system of separation and reheating, with the main goal to achieve the maximum power of the block of the power plant. There is calculation of the secondary circuit of the nuclear power plant in Dukovany before and after the optimization. In the next part, there is calculated growth of electric power of the block, results are drawn in diagrams and technical solution is designed.
Design of a gas turbine for heating plant
Lang, Filip ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals about design combustion turbine for heating plant. It include deciding of type combustion turbine and its calculation. The thesis consists of four main parts. The first part focuses on the analysis of gas turbine and principle of operation. The second part focuses on the requirements of a particular heating plant. The third part focuses on the selection of a suitable turbine from Siemens and last part contains the thermodynamic calculations of selected gas turbine.
Solid Particle Emissions from AgroPellets Combustion
Svoboda, Marek ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with defining the main concepts, properties of biomass and pellets. Further, the procedures for measuring agropellets properties according to valid standards are mentioned. The following is a selection of the raw materials for the production of agropellet, with the determination of their properties. The theoretical part closes background research emissions from combustion and emission standards for a solid fuel boiler. The second part is an experimental one, which determines the formation of solid pollutants in combustion of four types of pellets made from alternative sources. Here are the graphs of the gaseous emissions of each of them. At last there will be a comparison of emissions agro pellets with more widespread wood pellets.
Combustion of Solid Fuel in Unsuitable Boilers
Ondrůj, Jakub ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to investigate the combustion of various solid fuels and experimentally verify the environmental impacts of combustion of selected solid fuels in inappropriate boilers. The first part of the thesis is focused on the determination of solid fuel burning conditions and the second part describes the basic combustion tests, the comparison of the measured emissions during combustion of selected fuels and the comparison of these results with the valid emission limits.
