Cílem této práce je pokusit se seznámit s filozofií controllingu, prozkoumat koncept controllingu a jeho základní termíny. Ukázat funkce a jednotlivé obory controllingového systému ve společnosti. Ukázat možné propojení controllingu ve společnosti. Posledním cílem bude provedení projektu ve společnosti McDonalds. Popisují jednotlivé obory controllingu, aby udržet souvislost mezi teoretickou a praktickou častí.

The purpose of this work is to carry out financial analysis of a manufacturing company which is aimed at discovering of its total financial health, present progress and is also trying to evaluate future perspective. In the methodological part there are selected methods and procedures of financial analysis characterized which are applied also in the practical part. This part is composed of several sections. In the introduction the company PSP engineering a.s. is introduced, also its focus and present progress in recent years is presented. As the first extensive analysis including horizontal and vertical analysis of financial balance and income sheet is carried out. After that selected methods of financial analysis are applied which will help to judge the financial health and general position of this company.

Grants utilization in financing and evaluating of investment

The purpose of this thesis is to specify the most suitable encouragement program for a chosen small-scale enterprise. If a suitable program is chosen the enterprise will be therefore able to gain funds from the Grants of the European Union to finance its capital project. After selection of a proper program the capital project will be evaluated by means of standard methods of evaluating investments. The results of investment evaluation will help to make decision about which source of funds (own resources, loan or combination of both) is optimal in light of profitability and risk.

Financial Planning in the Channel Crossings Company

This thesis deals with financial planning. On one hand with its theoretical handling, on the other hand with its particular application on a specific business, the Channel Crossings company. The main objective of the paper is to assess the process of the financial planning in this particular company and at the same time to identify, how this company uses the approaches known from the theory of financial management in practise. The information included in this thesis should be exploitable for the assessment of theoretical approaches to the financial planning, as well as for the management of the company in question how to re-evaluate and optimize the current financial planning process.

Cash management in broker company and in leasing company

The main subject of this thesis is the liquidity -- very important premise for long-term existence of every firm. The aim is to characterize financial management with emphasis on liquidity and cash management in two different firms. Two mentioned firms are quite specific -- broker company and leasing company. Because of this the key goal of this thesis is the analysis and evaluation of their liquidity, monitoring similarity and diversity in procedures which the firms use in cash management. The basic question is the evaluation of process of cash management in two mentioned firms, understanding of preferred instruments and identification if it is sufficient for stable financial solvency. The particular procedures and methods in cash management in two different firms are mentioned in this thesis. Attention is paid on working capital, liquidity ratios and other -- cash flow statement, plan of payment etc.

The diploma thesis is focused on controlling in British American Tobacco (Czech Republic), s.r.o., which is subsidiary company of British American Tobacco p.l.c.. The thesis gives a definition of controlling, its objectives, functions and organization, the profile of a controller and the division of labour between the controller and the manager. The thesis is focused on controlling activities conducted in British American Tobacco (Czech Republic), s.r.o., namely on planning, control and reporting.

Finanční analýza společnosti Škoda Auto, a. s.

Cílem práce je posouzení finančního a celkového zdraví společnosti Škoda Auto, a. s. První část práce se zabývá metodologickou oblastí, druhá část aplikací nastíněných problémů a základní charakteristikou podniku včetně srovnání s oborem. K analýze jsou použity nástroje jako vertikální a horizontální analýza účetních výkazů, analýza poměrových ukazatelů, bilanční pravidla, analýza pracovního kapitálu a cash flow, bonitní a bankrotní modely, pyramidové rozklady a analýza finanční páky. Na závěr je řešena problematika ukazatele EVA a je shrnuto celkové zdraví společnosti.
