Economics of Rat Breeding

The bachelor thesis deals with professional breeding of brown rat, processes selected economic indicators upon which the economic aspects of breeding is evaluated. The breeding includes 252 adult breeding animals stabled in system of intermittent polygamy. Theoretical part is pressenting economic factors which are necessary to analyse the breeding, further creating an overview of the basic biology of rat, breeding technology and methods of breeding. In the practical part the selected economic indicators are applied to a particular breed. Practical part focuses on the economic comparison of the two most common ways of brown rat breeding, intermittent polygamy and permanent monogamy. When using intermittent polygamy advantage is in having a low number of males in the breeding, on the other hand permanent monogamy is shortening the production cycle of females that leads to greater productivity of females. Based on the evaluation and comparison of economic indicators for the mentioned breeding methods the economical way of breeding is uniquely identified to be intermittent polygamy. Both breeding methods are cost-effective, permanent monogamy but considerably less. In conclusion the most important findings of the issues affecting the economy of brown rats breeding are summarized.

The economy of cattle breeding

This thesis deals with economy of the small farm, whose main activity is breeding bulls for slaughter. The theoretical part describes the use of economic indicators such as ratios of financial analysis and costing. The problems of cattle breeding such as necessary conditions and regulations compulsory for every breeder is also described in theoretical part. Another topic in theoretical part is a description of the Czech Spotted cattle as a traditional breed breaded in the Czech Republic.
For main part of the thesis, data from tax records and books farms received invoices were used. In the practical part the economic profitability of cattle breeding was quantified based on costing the enterprise. Calculated values of economic indicators such as total indebtedness and profitability are compared with the optimum ratio for a given indicator, and based on their values, optimization steps are suggested.
The outcome of the work are optimization steps, which should help the farm to improve its economic performance.

Quantification of consumer loans development in the Czech republic

This thesis describes consumer loans in the Czech Republic in the period from 1993 to 2014. Theoretical part of the thesis begins with a description of most known economical theories, that relate to consumer loans and is afterwards supplemented by description of related macroeconomical indicators, accompanied by the description of consumer theory. Practical part defines the economic and econometric models, both of which are used for quantification of the dependence of consumer loans on various macroeconomical indicators in the Czech Republic. The model is subjected to economical, econometrical and statistical verifications, in order to be applied and used for potencial forecast.

Subsidy policy for small and medium farmers 2014 -2020

Bachelor thesis titled Subsidy policy for small and medium farmer 2014-2020 is focused on streamlining the system of subvention. Everyone should be able to successfully submit a request for the most common subventions according to this thesis. Then there is a scheme of the subvention policy for a simplification which characterizes subvention for vegetal sector. In the practical part there is a particular example of subvention which was received by the author. In conclusion of the thesis the author has suggested possibilities of improvement of the subvention policy.

Financial Analysis of Chosen Company

The thesis is focused on financial analysis of the chosen company, which is Jaroměřická mlékárna, a. s. The financial situation of this company will be evaluated during period 2005 - 2014. In the theoretical part is described the characteristic of financial analysis, its users, data sources for financial analysis and its partial methods. This part is followed by the practical part, in which the company first is introduced. Following by using absolute indicators with help of horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements and analysis of relevant ratios. Based on the results of mentioned indicators will be evaluated financial statement of the company and suggested possible recommendation for its future development.

Reaction of selected varieties of winter oilseed rape (Brassica napus) on the application of fungicides

Oilseed rape i sone of the most important crops in the world. I tis the most important oil crop in Czech Republic. I the last 50 years it had undergone large change in breedeng. Ratio of grown hybrids at present tops the open pollinated lines ( planning for harvest in 2016 saw 88% hybrids and only 12% of lines). There are quite important differences between varieties in tolerance to fungal diseases and not only to them. There are first varieties marketed with gene of pot shatter tolerance and others. The pressure of fungal diseases grows due to growing planting area of the rape.
Trials with oil seed rape were established in the growing season 2014/15 on four varieties and two locations. We tested following hybrids: Arsenal (Limagrain), DK Exstorm (Monsanto), Jumper (Bayer), SY Cassidy (Syngenta). The locations were in the district Jičín farm AGRO Slatiny a.s., and in the district Kolín farm ZD Křečhoř a.s.. On each location were planted two trial variants 1) without fungicide application 2) with the application of fungicides. On the location Slatiny were applied three fungicides (Toprex, Paroli, Propulse), on the location Křečhoř also three fungicides (Toprex, Magnello, Amistar XTRA).
The aim of the bachelor study was to test growth yield and qualitative parameters of the varieties together with observation of fungal diseases and their influence on yield and oil content. We were testing the infestation of following diseases Phoma lingam, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Verticilium dahlie Botrytis cinerea.
Hybrid DK Exstorm (195cm) was the tallest variety on both locations followed by hybrid Arsenal (193,5 cm). By number of branches was the best ranked variety hybrid Arsenal, the lowest was SY Cassidy. On fungicide treated variants grew number of pods per m2 by average 6% on both locations. Average yield vas slightly higher in location Křečhoř in both variants, treated (70kg) and untreated (50 kg). On both locations was visible difference between treated and untreated variants. Yield increase was in average 5,4% (200kg/ha). Varieties with best reaction to fungicide treatment were DK Exstorm (Monsanto) and Jumper (Bayer). Fungicide application influenced also crop height, number of branches and pods per m2.
Following conclusions are made in the bachelor study:
- Fungicide application increased yield in average by 5,4% (i.e.200 t/ha) and improwed the health of the crop.
- DK Exstorm and Jumper were varieties with the best reaction on the fungicide treatmentArsenal (4,37 t/ha) was the best yileding variety on both locations followed by hybrid Jumper (4,27 t/ha).
- Arsenal is the recomended variety for both locations Křečhoř and Slatiny

In consequence according to predetermined priorities to choose the most attractive segment and to create the marketing strategy designated for chosen segment.
