VoIP in a wireless network of VŠE
Švarc, Lukáš ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Matuška, Miroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on exploring the possibility of VoIP service in a wireless network of University of Economics, Prague. This thesis describes the basic principles of VoIP and related wireless technologies necessary for its quality and stable operation. Subsequently, different configurations of wireless network and end clients are tested and compared, including its impact on ordinary users, in a laboratory environment with idle and fully utilized frequency band. Finally, a roaming operation with the use of several advanced 802.11 standards is tested in the real environment of the Old building in Žižkov. In conclusion, the ideal settings for all telecommunication devices are recommended in order to maximize the quality of VoIP operation and to minimize the negative impact on ordinary users.
System of e-learning courses aimed at increasing information literacy
MATUŠKA, Miroslav

LISP - The separation of network node's locator and identifier
Šubrt, Ondřej ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Matuška, Miroslav (referee)
The purpose of this paper is to describe the features and functionality of LISP protocol (Locator / ID Separation Protocol), its possible use in the network infrastructure and description of the requirements necessary for its successful implementation. Part of this thesis is also the setting of modules to support the network protocol on FreeBSD and then connecting the station to the experimental network, operated by Cisco Systems. The reachability of the test station in the experimental network is verified by station within the network and by server from the internet. LISP implementation on FreeBSD is called OpenLISP and has fully integrated support for encapsulation and decapsulation of datagrams. It also includes the implementation of the mapping cache and mapping database. For connection to Map Server is used OpenLISP Control Plane implementation by Guruprasad K. Rao and LIP6. The paper is based on the draft implementation of this protocol and its individual parts placed on the website of the Internet Engineering Task Force organization. The functionality of the protocol, described in this paper, is valid by March 2012.
Certification IPv6 for the software and devices
Koutecký, Tomáš ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Matuška, Miroslav (referee)
Bachelor thesis on certification IPv6 for the software and devices describes how the proces of device certification works, what is the reason for the product certification is and who performs it. The project also focuses on the basic requirements which the producer has to meet. It compares single certification organizations and describes their role. In the practical part, applications and operating systems are tested. Testing of the operating systems is marginally tested according to the test profile IPv6 Ready and by single applications connectivity to the IPv6 World is tested.
Expansion concept of provider's wireless network
Petras, Vít ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Matuška, Miroslav (referee)
Nowadays it is very important to have access to internet not only at work but also at home. In large cities there is no problem to provide access to a great percentage of the population but in smaller towns and villages there can be a problem with high speed internet coverage. Metallic lead is expensive, the optic one even more. Here comes the chance for wireless internet providers who are not bound by building expensive infrastructure but by relief only. One of these providers is Eurosignal co-operative that fills the space in the Prague-West area and Mnisek pod Brdy's surroundings. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the current state of the network, to point to the posibility of extending the existing network and to propose the best solutions of technical implementation of such extention depending on price and new potential clients number in a specific area.
Creation of e-learning course aimed at increasing informatics literacy
MATUŠKA, Miroslav
The aim of this work is to create a Management Informatics course in the selected e-learning system that streamlines and facilitates learning for students and the teacher.
Company network security monitoring
Kališ, Martin ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Matuška, Miroslav (referee)
Main focus of this work is on computer network security monitoring. In first part basic definitions for the area are formed and it also offers different ways to encompass monitoring into company security. Next part defines main functions of monitoring systems and provides guidelines for its implementation in organization. Practical part consists of defining key conditions for selection of monitoring solution and it also applies them when comparing several products available on the market. Then it presents author's view on future trends and development in this area based on facts from previous chapters. Whole work provides complete approach to security monitoring and offers definition of all key concepts and competencies for monitoring systems.
Support for Incident and Problem Management on Computer Network at University of Economics
Bank, Michal ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Matuška, Miroslav (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on incident and problem management on computer network at University of Economics, Prague. Its goal is to study available models used in network management, analyze current status of network management support tools used at University of Economics and design and implement an application for effective diagnosis of network incidents based on this analysis. Information about network management models will be acquired from available sources -- primarily ITIL v3 and also online information published on the Web. The final part of this thesis is a fully functional web-based application which will be used by helpdesk operators to support them in finding event information in historical log files. This application will then be deployed on servers in University of Economics, Prague.
