Side-channel cryptanalysis using deep learning methods
Matuška, Jakub ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sikora, Pavel (advisor)
Cryptographic systems are getting unbreakable on paper. Therefore attacks on the implementations using side-channels are getting in front of others. Especially when neural networks (NN) got involved in this field. With deep learning, these attacks can recover secret keys even on implementations with countermeasures. Deep learning assisted sidechannel analysis (DL-SCA) dominated this field over the statistical methods. That is why it is important to understand its concepts. This thesis will showcase these methods and introduce some new tools regarding correlation power analysis (CPA) and the training of NNs. An attack on ASCAD dataset will take place and the proposed NN to conduct this attack will be evaluated against other models using proper metrics. Lastly, improvements to SITM (See-In-The-Middle) attack using deep learning are proposed and implemented in the console application.
Wireless robot control using mobile platform
Matuška, Jakub ; Kiac, Martin (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and implementation of an application for robot’s omnidirectional movement control using mobile platform. Implementation includes an Android application, used as user interface, as well as robot–side Python program for controlling movement and sending RTP stream to Android application. User can control robot’s movement using two virtual joysticks. Raspberry Pi was used as the control unit. The application has security module. Pipeline-based multimedia framework named GStreamer was used to implement RTP steaming. This paper describes necessary theory first and then introduces basic building blocks used in creation process of the application.
Analysis of the impact of financial crisis on credit rating agencies
Matuška, Jakub ; Mirvald, Michal (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The objective of this work is to analyze the effects of financial crisis on the development of selected economical indicators of Credit Rating Agency. The suggested influence was analyzed using parametric tests of financial indicators EBT, ROA, ROE, number of employees and share of assets on liabilities using their mean value and spread during years 2005-2014. Data and information used to interpret there indicators were acquired from annual reports of each company and analytical server YCharts. A significant part of this work is a summary of causes of financial crisis, which, amongst other factors, include the behavior of Credit Rating Agencies.
