Access to education through dramatic literary education

12 Abstract My thesis "Access to education through dramatic literary education" focuses on creative educational process of literary education which uses the methods and principles of drama education at the level of primary school education. The theoretical part deals with a possibility to integrate the area of human knowledge, interdisciplinary relationships and the presence of creative component into RVP. Theoretical part also points out the effectiveness of linking drama education with literary education. In the main part (practical part) we can find an ensemble of literary-drama lessons which analysis creatively a different literary genres. Well thought through lessons provides students with deeper understanding on literary work (text) not only in term of rational meanings, but emotional as well. The set of lessons is in line with the new concept of primary education (vis. RVP) which goal is child development in cognitive area (especially acquisition of tools for exploring and developing thought flow), in skill area, attitudes and values. The set of lessons emphasizes on interdisciplinary relationships and creativity. Part of the lessons was tested (reflected) with children in primary school during the school year 2012/2013
Role play of spotaneons activity of childern in the preschool age

The thesis adresses the play in role during spontaneous activities children of preschool age in the theoretical and practical dimension. In my mind I have play and activities, where children are not organized or managed and have possibility to freely decided what to do. The introduction of theoretical part of thesis focuses on the importace and meaning of play in human life with insight into the history of games and lists some of its theories. The work is based on theory pf Jean Piaget, who conect the child's play with its intellectual evolution. The second chapter deals with the specific personality of the child of preschool age from the perspective of developmental psychology and development of society focusing on current needs of child to play. The next part of the thesis is related to basic characteristics of current- day nursery schools with respect pre - revolutionary period. The fourth chapter focuses on the meaning of spontaneous activities in nursery school. It identifies the role of adult in these activities, the influence of individual and social differenties of children on play and how influence heterogeneity and homogeneity of this group. Specific of Roma Population worked out through the means of Drama in Education

This thesis focuses on the topic of multicultural education based on elaborated methods and techniques of drama in education. The theoretical part deals with the drama in education, its objectives, methods and techniques, and its inclusion in The Framework Educational Program for Basic Education (FEP), then on the Roma population and its specifics, multicultural education, its goals and its inclusion in the FEP. Through structured drama techniques in the practical part I try to explain school children the history, culture, values and way of life of the Roma population reflected by assimilation policy of the Czech Republic of the last century. Via this drama in education lessons focused on learning the specifics of the Roma population, I make an effort to prevent or influence prejudices. I have chosen to focus on this ethnic minority as it is the largest ethnic group in the Czech Republic and it is exposed to probably most significant racial prejudice. Cooperation of First and Second Graders in the Learning Process

The work deals with the cooperation of pupils among first and second grade pupils in a primary school. It analyzes to which extent are second grade pupils able to give their knowledge to pupils of the first grade. Then it shows how the learning style and the personality affects the cooperation of an individual within the group. The practical part proofs the long-term investigation in one class that was systematically prepared for the cooperation among older and younger pupils. The results of this research in the observed class evaluate higher level of cooperative and communication skills of individual pupils than those, who previously did not deal with cooperation. Teaching pupils how to cooperate gradually developed their relationship not only to younger classmates, but to the willingness to help each other, to respect the opinions of others and it also strengthened the relationships in the observed classroom. Usage of portfolios in drama classes

I divided my thesis "The usage of portfolios in drama classes " into two parts. The first part of my thesis is theoretical and it deals with different types of portfolios and rates the usage of them in different drama classes. I tried to see the portfolios from the user's point of view. The whole collection of portfolios is a valuable tool that reflects the personality and social development of my students. It allows the observation of a student's attitude and value development. The list of methods and techniques can be found in my thesis, and can be used to plan lessons with the planned portfolio's output. The second part of my thesis shows illustrations of practical drama class lessons and the worksheets that can be used as a basis for future portfolios. The lesson samples contain methods, and information about the realization and reflection of the lessons as well. My thesis contains samples from the children enriched with worksheet evaluations.
Use of drama methods in historical studies at primary school

This thesis examines the possibilities of linking historiographical education and drama curriculum in primary school using action research. The theoretical part examines various educational and psychological bases that support the idea of linking drama and historiographical education and defines the possibilities of the involvement of drama as a teaching method in the primary school. The practical part contains specific proposal of two lessons with historiographical themes and also includes evaluation of their implementation in 4th and 5th class. Both lessons are designed and implemented in accordance with the teachings of Three-phase, respecting the psychological aspects of the target group. Lessons use mainly drama methods, marginally methods of curriculum Reading and writing to critical thinking, Experiential learning, Project teaching and Cooperative learning are used. Action research is evaluated through observation and detailed description of teacher reflection.
Using Methods andTechniques of Creative Drama Education to Understanding of Literary Texts

This diploma thesis concerns possibilities of using drama methods and techniques for understanding of literary texts within primary school education, with special emphasis on supporting pupils' reading. In its first theoretical part the basic terms are defined, such as literature, reading and their importance for a human; Literary Education and Drama Education (including its methods) and their possible meetings in the educational process. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with use of a literary text as a theme for a preparation for creative drama lessons, including drama structuring. The practical part is focused on three specific proposals for drama lessons with using literary texts. Two of them were carried out and evaluated with respect to the predetermined goals. It affirms that the application of drama methods and techniques within classes of literature and reading is justified. Usage of puppets in nursery school

The usage of puppets in nursery school In its theoretical part, my diploma thesis presents the preschool-age children's game and focuses on its object and the perception of the puppet as a toy. It approaches the theory and function of the puppet from its educational point of view. Further, it points to various methods of their usage and to the relation between the teacher and a puppet. In the conclusion, it includes some suggestions to make simple puppets. Next part of this work results from the research on the relation between children and puppets within the educational process in nursery school. It approximates children's displays towards the puppet and their ability to distinguish between the puppet and the teacher. Further, it is supplemented with the research on different methods of using the puppets and the experience within the pedagogues' practice.
