Reinforced concrete structure of a multifunction building

The aim of this qualification thesis is to design a reinforced concrete monolithic ceiling construction of typical floor. It concerns locally supported panel that is 250 mm thick and of irregular shape. The spread of the span is 6 x 6 m with the overshoot of 1,2 m. Inside the building there is a staircase with a lift and a plumbing stack that is surrounded by the monolithic reinforced concrete wall that is 300 mm thick. The structural height of the floor is 3500 mm. The pillars` cross-sections are 450/450 mm. An analysis using the end-element method, a static design and a drawing documentation of the ceiling panel were conducted within this thesis.

The use of scouting elements at primary school

This thesis analyses primary education and the current trend of environmental education. It focuses on Scout and its educational approach. The starting points and educational principles of scouting are related to the current popular trends in education at primary schools. The Učíme se venku program and Real World Learning were chosen as similar effective environmental approaches that seek to have the same impact on pupils' attitudes and values. The Step by Step program was added to the thesis for the purpose of conducting research in the activity centres. Scout's methods and outlooks on education coincide with these approaches and with the Framework Education Programme in pedagogical goals, such as evolving the pupil's attitudes and values, a partnership approach, a positive relationship with nature and the upbringing of a democratic citizen. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to present the Scout's educational method and to compare it with other environmental programs and the Framework Education Programme, to establish where they agree and where they differ. The aim of the practical part is to find out how it is possible to use the individual elements of these directions in teaching at primary schools. Current trends in the care of newborns.

Neonatology is a branch of medicine that still evolves. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust some experienced, obsolete or even dangerous procedures so as to find current care options that will suit either current medicine or current society. The thesis aims both to verify the newborn care development in a period of the last twenty years and to primarily map the actual situation. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the work deals with current obstetrics and clarifies individual areas of newborn care. The practical part presents the results obtained using a qualitative research survey, having two goals delineated. The first goal focuses on mapping changes occurring in the newborn care in the past twenty years. The second goal aims to realize possible benefits of alterations to mother and child. To obtain data, two sets of framework questions were set. One questionnaire was determined for nurses and midwives who had at least ten years' experience in taking care for the newborn and the other for mothers where it was at least a five-year- gap between the first and last delivery. The research survey shows that over the years there have been changes in all areas of newborn care that we monitor. In the first treatment of the newborn after birth, in the initiation of nutrition, bath, care of the umbilical stump, in the childbirth management and other necessary procedures where the needs of the child and the mother's wishes must merge. Personnel' knowledge and procedures in individual facilities also play an important role, which should correspond with current recommendations. Information obtained from the research survey could be used to think about possibilities how to make the work of nurses and midwives more efficient and it could be used to improve the quality of nursing care.

Activation programs residential facilities for the elderly in the district of Beroun

(in English): The thesis deals with the issue of social aktivizačních activities that are provided to seniors living in residential institutions in the region of Beroun. Theoretical part introduces the situation relating to old age, aging and of the needs of the elderly. Describes services provided by the elderly and their representation in the District of Beroun. Further defines the concept of mobilisation and defines its individual methods and techniques. The empirical part is focused on interviews with employees, which operates in the homes for the elderly in the District of Beroun. The result of the work are the views and experiences of activation workers on the course aktivation.

Evaluation of selected low-threshold children and youth facilities

(in English): This diploma thesis deals with the theme of low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. At the beginning of the theoretical work, work with risky youth, the theory of risky behavior and its individual types is approached. In detail, a low-threshold facility for children and young people is introduced, including legislative anchoring, principles, target group and individual working methods. At the end of the theoretical part is described system of social services assessment and current events in this area. The empirical part contains research methodology, research results and evaluation. The aim of the thesis is to compare the facilities of the capital city of Prague and the Central Bohemian region and to compare the ideas about the goals of work between the managers and their subordinates. A qualitative method was chosen for the research, when data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews.

Práce se zaměřuje na problematiku mediální gramotnosti v rozvíjející se informační společnosti. Vymezuje význam nových médií a nutnost zprostředkovávat dovednosti a schopnosti potřebné pro jejich používání. Definuje tento soubor kompetencí, který zajišťuje efektivní používání informačních, komunikačních a zábavních možností nových médií. Přitom práce vychází především z poznatků teorie a praxe mediální výchovy ve Spolkové republice Německo. Práce dále nastiňuje stav mediální výchovy zaměřené na nová v České republice. Uvedeny jsou příklady projektů z oblasti mediální výchovy zaměřené na nová média realizovaných ve Spolkové republice Německo. Závěrem práce nabízí metodické tipy pro pedagogické zpracování problematiky nových médií ve školství České republiky.
